So many breakfast spots just miss the mark. NOT here. Scrambled eggs were fluffy and cooked to perfection. So large a portion it had to be shared. Bacon was a generous portion with smoky finish—Nicely crisp without being overdone. The fried eggs over easy were cooked perfectly—flowing egg yolks and no hardening on either side. Then the blueberry pancake— magnificently tender, as large as the plate, golden brown and loaded with berries. The Pass-a-Grille neighborhood ambiance was a high mark. The decoration, cleanliness and bathrooms were all superior. The only negative was the inexpensively processed orange juice and the average coffee. In Florida we northerners would like to believe that fresh squeezed OJ should be at every table.

We wanted to go out for a late breakfast when staying nearby. We picked the Seahorse, which closes at 2:30, based on TA ratings & reviews plus their menu seen in a pic on TA. Sure glad we did. We chose their corned beef hash side dish ($4.95), blueberry pancake ($3.45) and my superb shrimp & grits with bacon bits and an egg on top ($10.99 + $1.50). They all were Terrific. Parking is very limited, so you've got to find a metered spot on nearby streets. A challenge but we did & don't think worn out meters work anyway. Service by Christi was thorough and friendly. Place itself is so so with in & out seating near end of island/Pass-a-Grille Beach across from water.

Family style atmosphere is felt at this place. The minute you walk in you see the wooden tables and benches and it just relaxes you. The restaurant serves breakfast and lunch from 8am to 2pm. There is a great variety of choices for both breakfast and lunch. We were there for lunch. My wife had the Cuban sandwich and it was delicious. There was a generous portion of meat on the sandwich and it was pressed to perfection. I had the Cajun grilled fish sandwich and it was delicious too. The tartar sauce was also very tasty. We would definitely eat here again.

This place has been in business for over 80 years, so it must be doing something right. Our food which was a patty melt and a cod sandwich was average at best, nothing really special. The cod sandwich was particularly thin sliced cod not what we were used to. The patty melt was a premade hamburger on the Rye bread with the onions and American cheese it was good but again nothing special Service was very good.

The Seahorse Restaurant, located across the street from Merry Pier, is a nice little spot to have breakfast. The service is friendly and efficient, and the place itself reminded me of the knotty pine luncheonettes I used to go to when I was a boy. The food is very good -- I had a breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese, and ham and my wife had blueberry pancakes. There is a small parking area available.

Just went to the Seahorse for the first time. And so glad we did. We both had the traditional breakfast. I had eggs over easy, bacon, homefries and white toast. My wife had scrambled eggs. I know that breakfast is pretty simple but not often do all 4 items on the plate come out perfect. Eggs were cooked on point, bacon was delicious and not under or over cooked, potatos were delicious and the toast was crispy and buttered just right. If they were open for dinner I would have gone back and had again. Can't wait to go back!

Had not been in since COVID until today. Still a great view, service was fine, food mediocre and prices much higher than before. $30 for breakfast for two out of control. One side item typically ordered up 250 percent.

The Seahorse Restaurant is an icon with history and roots going back to 1938 in Pass-A-Grille, Florida offering American breakfast favorites and a seafood lunch menu. Located across the street from the Merry Pier, my wife and I passed by this restaurant for years before finally stopping in for a breakfast. For entrees, we had the Cuban toast with guacamole and the hangover helper dish, a good play on words for two over-medium fried eggs on a bed of sausage gravy. You can read the full review on the Wine Dine and Play website blog along with other breakfast spots.

We returned to this beloved local restaurant to enjoy what used to be a delicious breakfast. Not sure what has changed but it was very just ordinary with a side of disappointment. Coffee was weak and barely warm, toast was barely toasted and the ham was thin and tasteless, home fries were burnt black, hard and nasty. On the plus side service was quick and the blueberry pecan pancakes were tasty. Not sure we will ever return. There was no line up outside today which in hindsight might have been a clue.

The corned beef hash is a specialty. Tough to find parking without paying for meters at the beach - they have limited number of spaces in their small lot for their clientele. Breakfast available all day except for Tuesdays (when they closed). Lots of outdoor dining available. Great service.

Come here for breakfast or lunch! The biscuits and gravy or corned beef hash are our favorites but every breakfast we've ever had was amazing. The staff are nice and you can each inside or on the patio. Lunch looks great too but we've never made it past breakfast here!

The atmosphere is laid-back. The food is home cooked and filling. The wait staff was incredibly attentive. We enjoyed their extra big mimosas. Biscuits and gravy were top notch. The shrimp and grits were out of this world. If you want to go out for breakfast and not spend much but have wonderful food, this is the place!!

This was a great spot for breakfast and I am giving it 5 stars. First off the location and the view cant be beat. Always like doing a Saturday morning breakfast and if I lived in the area this would be the place. Sitting outside, or inside with a view of the bay is a perfect way to start the day. Service was very prompt though a little bit on the curt side as they were fairly busy. No issue here. Everyone at our table enjoyed their food. I had the classic two egg breakfast with home fries, egg whites and sausage. Came with toast. Everything was delicious and the home fries were fresh potatoes cooked with onions. Delicious. I also ordered a side blueberry pancake which was probably a 4 out of 5.

Food was perfect! Great breakfast and exactly what we wanted. Our omelettes were delicious and our food came out so fast. The restaurant is in a gorgeous area that is more secluded from the busy touristy side of Gulf Blvd. We went on a Thursday morning around 8am. Crowd deft started picking up by 9! This was one of our favorite breakfast spots in St. Pete.

We rode our bikes down here from St. Pete Beach. A local man who was out walking recommended this for breakfast. Great atmosphere - hasn't been touched in decades - perfect! Strong coffee, great pancakes and perfect bacon. The fruit cup was a plastic container from Walmart for $4.95 - do not bother.
