Our experience was amazing! The food presentation was beautiful. Our food was yummy and our waiter, Jess, was simply the best! Attentive without being intrusive. The interior is newly remodeled and the decor is lovely. One of our favorite places. We will definitely be returning....It is pricey but well worth it.More

We went last night for our anniversary dinner and the entire experience was excellent. Our waiter, Jess, was helpful and attentive. But the best part was the food. We had the Scallops for an appetizer, the spring salad, and for our entrees, the Turbot and...Corvina. The latter was prepared grilled with a light curry and black rice. The dessert was a chocolate confection that was very good, and even the coffee was great. We would highly recommend the Maritana Grill for any special occasion.More

My husband and I went on the first day they opened back up since Covid-19. The ambience with beautiful staff was amazing. The food was spectacular. I really enjoyed the Rich taste of my oxtail ravioli paired with a whipped goat cheese. My husband’s duck...breast was succulent and perfectly seasoned. We shared the small plate lamb and holy smokes it was perfectly cooked and full of flavor.More

I can’t tell you about the food but if your not a guest get ready for $28.00 parking fee when you leave if you park in their lot. They’ve stopped validating local diners.More

Jeff Thank you for your patronage. Please advise when you ate here. Maritana has been closed since March and we cover all parking for guests when dining in Maritana. If you ate at Rowe Bar or Lobby Bar, then yes we don't cover parking in...More

Bottom line up front - disappointing experience at a very overrated restaurant. I dont understand the rave reviews unless written by people with no knowledge of good food. We are guests at the Don Cesar on our honeymoon and decided to do fine dining at...the "four star, diamond rated" Maritana Grille. First - the decor. NOT fine dining. Not horrible, clean and modern but not in any way romantic or "classy." Feels like an upscale diner or the place you go to for the free breakfast buffet at a nice hotel. Sadly the food matches the decor. We ordered the bread (paying for bread at this level of restaurant?), the roasted oysters, the garlic shrimp and the grilled octopus. The bread was really good, warm and chewy, came with some nice accompaniments including a delicious pear jam. The other appetizers were over priced and terribly bland at best. The octopus wasn't really a bad portion and it was perfectly tender, but cold and nearly flavorless. I ate half of it rather than wait on a new order - if they had reheated it in the microwave that would have been worse. The plate had an odd sauce on it that looked like a blob of battleship grey paint - didn't add anything and visually unappealing! The shrimp were just ok. Not bad but worth maybe six or seven dollars at a ham and egger seafood place. The oysters were terrible. Bland, oddly cooked, a strange and unsatisfying dish. Almost sent them back but, well, honeymoon. For main meals we ordered the duck breast and a bison rib eye and to be fair they were decent, good flavors and nicely cooked, but at premium steakhouse prices. The star of the evening was the side order of French fries, hot, crunchy but tender, perfectly salted, really among the top two or three pommes frites I've had anywhere. We skipped dessert. The service was friendly but a little inefficient- shouldn't take that long to get water refills among other minor issues so I cant really give high marks for that either. Summary- way over priced for what you get and NOT a romantic place - don't come here for date night. If you are staying at the Don Cesar and don't want to leave the hotel for dinner I suggest one of the casual restaurants or room service, but if you have extra cash and moderate expectations you can get a decent meal here if you generally avoid the appetizers. I wish I could have read my own review before dropping a few hundred bucks at Maritana.More

Food and service were exceptional. At a resort that is very child-friendly, if you are without children, and looking for a more refined meal, this is a spot you cannot miss.

We had not been to the Maritana in some years - perhaps since before the renovation. We had the occasion to be there owing to a wedding that was to happen on the 15th in St. Pete. I do like what they've done despite a...general preference for a more modern and minimalist feel. I was happy to see guests dressed up more than is typical in Florida. We were greeted in an enthusiastic manner by the hostess and the server was also fairly prompt. The restaurant was too bright - especially for Valentines. It was much too bright. The menu was set (as is typical for Valentines) but there were only three options in each of the three categories. This really isn't enough variety. Having said that all of the items we tasted - pea soup with poached egg, green salad, duck (a bit overcooked for Ryne's taste but how I prefer it), Monkfish (tasty but definitely overcooked), Pavlova and espresso praline were good. The cocktails (barreled boulevardiers) were somewhat surprisingly good. The wine list is extensive even by the glassMore

First visit after Renovation. Inattentive service; uninspired menu. Duck was dry, grouper had little flavor and to top it off $25 gas card stolen from our car. Won’t be returning.

We had a wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner. I had called the restaurant to see if they were doing anything special for Valentine’s Day and they said they were just going off the regular menu. We decided to come anyway and lo and behold they had...a three course fixed price meal. I had the tuna tartare appetizer which was a generous portion and delicious followed by the duck which was also very good. It was a little rarer than I am used to but I ate it and enjoyed it. Dessert was a chocolate something with beet ice cream which was also fantastic. Our server was excellent but we didn’t see much of her during the last part of the meal. I think she was swamped. Valet parking was included. It was a very enjoyable night out.More

Yes. They have a good kids menu. I'm fact, in the past adults could even order from it. But new management has changed that policy, along with many other policies from what I understand. The kids menu even has a half... More

If you go to the hotel website there is a tab for event locations and menus. It offers a "chat" option. I would suggest you work quickly as this is a popular venue.
