We were trying to find a restaurant on the beach or with a view of the beach but had no luck due to covid. So we ended up coming here by default for my husband's birthday. I am so glad we did because we probably would not have thought to try a steak house at the beach. We were going to sit outside but ended up sitting inside at the bar. We had plenty of space and did not feel crowded. They were only serving beer and wine so we ordered a bottle of wine. We both ordered the same meal for our dinners. We got the twin filet mignons oscar. It was so delicious! Cooked and seasoned perfectly. It was also a large portion and I had enough to bring home for lunch the next day. Yum. We have a vacation home that we rent out and we have since referred many of our guests and friends to try this restaurant.

The wait was about an hour which was expected. They have a covered porch and tent set up for guests to wait under and serve beverages while you wait. The rolls were buttered with herbs and sea salt and were one of the favorite parts of our meal. Each person in our group of 4 ordered a different appetizer. Some were obviously better than others but overall we didn't dislike any of them. The salad is very unique, their dressing has a spice when it first hits your tongue but once all of the flavors start combining it is a pleasant surprise. Steaks were cooked perfect and the garlic mashed potatoes were out of this world. Next time I go back to St Pete I plan on eating here more than once.

Somehow at 5:30 on Mother’s Day weekend we found a parking spot and were seated immediately. This is a small restaurant with a faithful following. Steaks come with a salad and a baked potato , both excellent. The steaks are priced about $10 per meal cheaper than at Ruth’s Chris. The rib eyes are prime and were cooked as ordered. The small filet was excellent. The steak Oscar was also excellent. Wine and beer only. The wine was reasonably priced.

My wife and I went for Mother’s Day. We saw the reviews that said to get there early or have a long wait so we got there at 4:30 and sat at one of the outside tables while waiting for them to open. This is the biggest downfall of the restaurant. By the time they opened there were probably 30 people standing around outside. The restaurant has no system to create a line or have any order and when they opened the door people were just stupid and charged the door with no regard about who was there first. They need to put in a line up here area or take a number, the gaggle and charge system does not work.
Now for the food - We had the shrimp appetizer and it was amazing, we could have made a meal out of the sauce and the bread. The salad was very good and was unique. I had the ribeye with the Marsala mushroom sauce and my wife had the filet with the Gorgonzola sauce. The sauces were great, although I am not a fan of Gorgonzola the Marsala mushroom was very good. The steaks were okay, not great, you can get the same caliber steak at any of the steakhouses in the area, they were not very tender, just average, I have eaten in many of the up scale steakhouses in Tampa, Chicago, New York, etc. and these guys weren’t even close.
The service was good, not great, my wife had ordered wine to go with the meal which was forgotten and everything took a while but it was, by no means, bad service.
Over all it was a bit pricey, but everything is these days, a 100 dollar bill for two people was expected. We will probably go back at some point and try some of the seafood. If I wanted a steak I probably wouldn't go here but it was worth a try and I would recommend this place to a friend if they wanted to have a good evening.

Do not eat outside on patio. Flies everywhere. As soon as the steak came flies swarmed our table making it virtually impossible to eat and very disgusting to be seating flies. Staff aware of problems with flies from water nearby but don’t seem to care that customers are upset. Just gave us citronella candles which did not work. All 4 tables on patio all took very expensive meals to go because of flies. For over $300 for a family I would have expected more common courtesy and honesty about fly issues. Coming from New York - it would have been a dept of Heath issue. If we were told ahead of time about fly issue then we would have waited for inside seating or left for another restaurant
Very disappointed in staff and restaurant. Manager never came out to apologize or address the issue. Kept sending poor waitress out to apologize. Only compensation was a 10% discount. Wow. Could they be more generous! We order drinks as 5 expensive steaks and that was there only compensation for eating with flies all around us.

Best meal we had our vacation. We ordered takeout for four. Yes it was pricey but worth every penny. Food was cooked to perfection. We ordered steak (filets and ribeye) some got baked potato others had mashed. All perfect. Salads were good. Appetizer of shrimp was fantastic. Highly recommend.

This is a must try. You will have to wait, it is a small place but WORTH the wait, food was exceptionally good, very very reasonably priced and excellent wine selection also very reasonable. Huge Rib Eye was amazing.....my wife had two filets with Crab and shrimp on top, I don't think either entree was much more than $30 or $32. We had a bottle of Uppercut Cabernet, it was $30. What an incredible meal!!!!!! We will be back, this is an absolute must eat here while in St Pete Beach. Note: They told us 90 minutes to 2 hours, we were seated in 45 minutes. Even if it took two hours, get a bottle of wine and wait...worth it!

Love this place! From the moment you sign in to the moment you leave the staff will take care of you. They won’t rush you at all nor will refuse to serve you at 9:00 pm like many other dining places in the area. Food is with every single dollar it never disappoints me. We come few times during summer and after all this time in isolation it was worth it.

We found this gem while driving along Gulf Blvd (699). The building is smaller, so it didn’t stand out immediately among some of the other restaurants. We had a 25 minute wait for a table on a Sunday evening, but it was well worth the wait. The server (Melissa) was excellent and the steaks were delicious. The menu options are not extensive, but I think that allows them to maintain high quality for what they do serve. They have some outdoor seating with more indoor seating. Options for children were very reasonable. Would not necessarily recommend for younger children.

I've been to heaven and back. I can't say more then I am a carnivore and have eaten more meat than people twice my age so I consider myself an expert on steak. This ribeye that I had tonight was at the worst, the top 3 I have consumed. The outside was crisp from being seared and had the prefect amount of salt and pepper seasoning. I only had to push the knife through the meat because of how tender it was. The flavor was buttery and just as you would want a ribeye to be. The mashed that came as the side also was flavorful and a perfect compliment to my perfect steak. Price was less than comparable steakhouses I have been to and makes this an even better experience. Please go and see.... you will not be disappointed. They only have beer and wine.
They do not take reservations so go before they open and get on line or go later, it is worth the effort!!!

We knew for a while we would be in St Pete Beach on my birthday and I spent a LOT of time researching where I wanted to have dinner. This place wasn't even on my radar because I'm a seafood girl, not a steak girl. But all the reviews looked amazing and we didn't want to drive too far that night. I saw on the menu they had Sea Bass so on my birthday, we gave it a try. Well....it turned out to be THE MOST AMAZING PLACE! Very small, and quaint. Lots of reviews said long waits, but maybe because just 2 of us, we were seated immediately. Birthday luck? We did sit outside but there were large fans and it was very comfortable. We started with the Chophouse Shrimp appetizer, large spicy delicious shrimp dripping in yummy sauce with bread for dipping. My husband had the Angus Ribeye, thick, juicy, cooked to perfection, along with a side of onions and mushrooms. I had the Pan Seared Seabass, and it could not have been better. Easily in one of my top 10 meals ever. Great place, great service, simply amazing food. So glad we went!!

Not going to write a long review, but as a restauranteur, I recommend this Chophouse. Great Steaks ranging from Ribeye's to Tomahawaks to filet's with great 2lb lobster tails! Temp's are done to perfection, and the restaurant is small with phenomenal team work from the servers. Max A was super attentive to detail, and read our needs before we could ask.
Beer and wine only, no reservations. Small restaurant and fills up quickly.
Go in at 5-5:30 or 8pm, otherwise you will be waiting, but they have a lounge area to enjoy a glass of wine and relax.

We had always wanted to try this place and finally got to go for a great dinner. The steaks were excellent and they come with salads and a potato or fries. The rolls are fantastic too! Good wine and beet list. Our server was awesome and gave us good advice on what to order. As in other reviews have shared, go early because they don’t take reservations. We got there at 4:40 on a Wednesday and there were already people waiting for the doors to open.

Great steak. salad was very good. Mashed potato portion small and lukewarm (Personally dont like my mashed potatoes served with an "ice cream scooper"; not with these prices and quality of steak). Small place inside with some outside seating. Just beer and wine. Wine list was limited but found a nice Silver Oak. Noisy inside. My only complaint is that we felt very rushed by our waiter until we told him to chill. No reservations taken. We were told an hour and waited about 30 minutes; glad we didn't go across the street for a drink. If they call you and you aren't there; you lose your spot. I would go again for the steak; wish the service was more professional.

As others have mentioned it is a small venue and they DO NOT TAKE RESERVATIONS. Don't let that stop you. Our Wednesday dinner hope for 8pm became seated around 8:25, had a draft beer and glass of wine while we waited. No big deal. Everything about the meal was excellent from the waiter to the rolls to the salad to the great steak. Recommended by Chef Melly from Tampa (check out her food truck, Three Generations), best meal of our vaca!
