This is a great late night spot.we loved the new location with the 2 stories. Heidi was our bartender and she was incredible. She was fast and had an awesome personality. The live music at night was awesome! Definitely recommend this bar for somewhere on...the water with good drinks and live musicMore

This place has exceptional service and great drinks! It’s definitely a party spot, with covered and outdoor seating. Would not recommend for children, but definitely would recommend for a fun time with friends. All servers and bartenders are always checking on you to make sure...you’re doing well. Live music or entertainment 7 nights a week. Super fun spot with locals and touristsMore

Here at Thanksgiving. Delicious homemade from scratch dinners. Husband had a fine turkey dinner. Reasonably priced and fullfilling portions. Add friendly staff and by the gulf bay, this place is definitely one we will come back to. Sad we've lived here 5 years and never...realizedthus place was so great. My steak marsala was the best I've ever had. Deserts homade too and both so good ; brownie and caramel apple pie with ice cream. Our waitress was the best, too. Go here!More

07/30/23 This place is great for anyone. Food was good with a great view. I had my young son and he had the nachos with grouper sandwich. The Nachos was great not hot at all my son had them and loved them. I love spicy...so, they gave me hot sauce and i loved them. I had grouper tacos and finished them-awesome. My son and I had their fries. We both thought they were phenomenal. The view was great watching pelicans flying and then diving after fish. Boats were also fun to watch. Music was great. We had the upper deck seating. I know they had musicians that were playing great music. I just wanted to say their was waiter and waitress tag teaming our table and they did absolutely great job. They brought drinks when we needed and food too. This was a first time for us and can’t wait to be back Great place. The only thing I will say negative is I wanted a T-shirt and they did not have any in my size or a size for my son. Wish they did cause it would have made a great memory for the both of us.More

Terrible service. Waitress spent more time behind the bar, drinking her own drink and chatting with workers. We waited almost 30 minutes just to place our order, and 20 minutes to get our check, when we were done.

With all of the restaurant options in SPB, we happened upon the Toasted Monkey. It wasn't our first choice. We originally had planned on Willy's Burgers and Booze around the corner. Because we couldn't find a parking spot for Willy's, we decided on the Monkey;...which had available parking right across the street. After a while, it gets a little tiring driving around the block; searching for a place to park. The Toasted Monkey wasn't overly busy when we arrived on a Sunday afternoon/evening. We didn't want a table on the ground level directly in front of a loud speaker blaring out music, so we went upstairs to the roof bar area. The ONLY place we found to sit was back by the stairs marked, "Employees Only" directly across from the Bouy Beach Bar and Grill. We were given a menu, then left to wait to order for over 30 minutes. No one even took our drink order. This, on a 90 degree day on a roof top. The waitress wasn't apologetic at all. When we finally received our food, it was average. My wife and I split a Caribbean Mama. Talk about a watered down $10 8 ounce disappointment. We almost walked over to the Bouy prior to someone taking our order. Perhaps we should have. The Toasted Monkey needs to do better for its customers.More

We stopped by for a late lunch. We sat outside for the view of the water. This was our first visit since it was Crab Daddys. I had The Mahi sandwich which was Delicious. Great fries too. My husband ordered the grouper Reubens and it...was also delicious., a nice piece of the grouper. Our Server John Paul, was attentive, witty and very knowledgeable about wine. It is time for me to leave Toasted Monkey the review of all reviews (hopefully) for all of my absolute, favorite people at Toasted. I’m, by no means, not the best customer. I probably don’t tip very much all the time, but I try to...be nice, fun, and respectful to the bar tenders and MOST of them see that, but anyways let’s begin. After you go to a bar so many times, through thick and very thin, you become more than just a customer to the establishments’ employees, and everyone intertwines as a good ole forced, slightly alcoholic family! 😂 And with that family I have to start off with the very first person I met as a bar tender, not the best, not the worst, and nowhere inbetween, Devin. You see now most times when a couple guys go to a bar, most bartenders will act like hot sh*t and think they are the best thing since sliced bread and the Easy Bake Oven, but not Devin. Devin was cool af and simply took our drink orders with class and did quite well despite my simple ordering of a Moscow mule. Plus she probably wins the cutest and, potentially, feistiest award. The next person I’m pretty sure was a woman named Heidi. Heidi was on the opposite end of the spectrum. She definitely is the ‘Mrs. Bada$$’ of the Toasted clan, but for good reason! She is that grade A+ type of bar tender that knows her skills and can show it. She is the type that can not only talk the walk, but also walk the talk. She is probably the coolest once you get to know her. Plus I’m pretty sure she has 2,676 pairs of earrings. Next I think I have to say it was Stephanie AKA Casper, Stephanie is soo sweet! She was probably the first to remember, at the time, my beer of choice and would automatically hook me up with one when I walked in. Plus she gives literally the best hugs and I just don’t even know why or how that’s possible given how tiny she is. Now for the superhero bartender with Superman calves fit for their own DC comics movie about calves alone!! JD!! JD is a great and personable bartender that acts also as a bartending weed eater when it comes to being “in the weeds” he will be super busy and still has time to have a chat with you. That’s how all bartenders should be, but it’s a skill only for the veterans. Next I’d say it was probably a bar tender named Renee. Renee is like one of those cookies grandma forgot in the oven. Tough yet still sweet. She is a strong willed mom that probably works the hardest up there since she works a lot of days where all the old people take 3 years too long to order only to get a salad and a water with a lemon. God love her beautiful self. Next I feel we got Darlene, don’t let her sweet smile fool you! She can hook you up like a tow truck or pin you 6 feet down right outside of town! and she’s got those veteran drink skills as well! Always smiling every time I see her behind the bar and lights up when she sees me as well! Always a joy to see her behind the bar. I’m starting to realize how many people I like that work up there… Okay this list has gone to just who all I know up there because I obviously don’t remember the order in which I met everyone. So here are others I feel are definitely worth mentioning.. Corinna. I feel like I’ve seen Corinna grow into one of the best people up there, sorry to all, but she is definitely my favorite. As a friend, I can tell when she gets a little irritated at times, but she just keeps on working hard and doesn’t let anything get in her way. Thomas is the WWE champion of toasted and also a teddy bear at the same time. Shane is the gym rat of toasted, I keep meaning to ask him to make me swoll like him… one day.. one day.. Kristen is among the newest on this list. Chuck, a regular at Tosted, said she is an ex Tampa Bay Cheerleader. I dont know if that’s true but we are going with it! Next Tosh and Mo, I don’t think they are related but after you meet the both of them, you just want mo of them! Two of the sweetest drink slingers right here! I don’t see them as much as I’d like, but they are definitely on the list of the best, Colin too duh….I mean come on, he is a bar tender that takes his boat out for some highly romantic, ?future bookable?, camping trips. The bar tender I’ve seen the least and who, honestly, is probably the most marriage material a woman can be, Megan. Don’t know much about her other than that she is the queen of the inside bar and one of the coolest people I’ve met in St. Pete. And also… not single🫠. A definite notable mention, Bar Back Devin, MAKE HIM A BARTENDER ALREADY!!! The End, kinda. Sorry if I left you out if we know each other, no offense. And to those closet to us that have fallen, two of my best friends. Andrea (probably my best friend in St. Pete and the main reason why I showed my face here so often) and Jackson (my great “random hangouts” friend and very fun and entertaining coworker) and someone else that I didn’t know very well, but he was one cool cat every time I saw him. He had a cool style and was a nice guy, Tony. Rest In Peace to you all. That is all. Thanks for all the past and continued memories my Tosted Monkey fam. I was going to post a bunch of pics but didn’t end up with many since my past phone is out of order. I only have a couple… …and a sneaky shot I got of JD even though he said no😂More
