Jimmy B's Beach Bar in St. Pete Beach is one of the best if not the best bar on the beach. My wife and I have been going to St Pete Beach almost every year for quite awhile. We tried a few bars on the beach but none compared to B's. Why? The food is quite good but the atmosphere is unbeatable especially at night time when the music start with live bands every night. You can stay inside the bar or outside facing the beach. Be there when the sun go down. You cannot beat the sight. Highly recommended and the servers are very friendly and helpful.

Walking down the beach from our resort, we found Jimmy B's and liked the layout with the 3 bars and the multi levels. We sat at the uncrowded main bar for lunch with nice views of the water and beach. My beach burger was very good as were the fries and my wife liked her chicken tacos a lot. Landshark and Bud Light pint drafts were $3.95 and they have a few food and drink specials daily. This place has such a nice laid back beach atmosphere that we will certainly return the next time were are in town. Our waitress/bartender was excellent and gave as a lot of local insight to our questions.

Jimmy B's is the deciding factor in returning to St. Pete and staying at The Beachcomber. I first visited in 2019 with my mom and sister. I then returned in 2020 with my best friend. The outdoor bar is such a vibe and I am here for it. The food, the drinks, the waitstaff, and the atmosphere is just everything one could want while on vacation. I would recommend to all who visit the area, and when I can travel to Florida again you can bet I will make a stop (or two or three) at Jimmy B's!

Visited on January 2nd and what a disaster. We were seated and ordered drinks which went well until it was time to order food. There were only very limited items you could order and they were out of two of them. I ordered a burger and my spouse ordered fish tacos and we were told the only side you could get was nachos. We order our food and approximately 15 mins after we ordered a table of 6 was seated next to us. They ordered and received their food about 25 mins later and we hadn’t received ours. About 10 mins later I got up to question where our food was and was told very soon. So after almost 50 mins we received our food and my nachos looked like someone had stepped on them and my burger was ice cold and my wife’s fish tacos were cold. Waitress came back and asked ho our food was and we told her cold and she apologized and we asked for the check and paid for our drinks and ate at another place. Very nice atmosphere but we will definitely not be back.

I grew up going to Jimmy B's. I have always LOVED Jimmy B's it was the ideal tropical getaway, but the last few times I've gone it just makes me sadder and more disappointed each time. The bartenders Billy, Brad B., and Angelique are LEGENDS! They are the best and my favorite Bartenders on the beach along with Dar who hasn't been at Jimmy B's in over a year. The best part about visiting Jimmy B's now are these bartenders. I can tell some drinks and what they use has been changed and so they aren't what they used to be. The bartenders have to deal with a crapy computer system so it takes longer to get your tab when it crashes or decided it's going to crash. There's trash all around the floors of the bars because you can't find a trash can anymore ANYWHERE! (Trust me I looked and found 2 after a while) Back in the day there were several on the dance floor and around the stairs so people could dispose of their cups and not throw them on the ground. It made me tear up to see how poorly kept up the place has been. I was sad to see upper deck closed down.... For reasons I am unaware of. The bathroom is disgusting!!! No toilet paper to be found and almost no paper towels either because woman had to use those to wipe.. Surprised the plumbing hasn't backed up again, yet. There were Bees flying in there and several dead ones on the ground. I'm thinking there's a hive somewhere close by. There isn't much security and I miss Big Al. He might not have been the most active, but man when you needed someone to have your back he was there. Theres also no heaters so if it's cold you better layer up because the heaters are no where to be found. It was one of the coldest nights Friday and Saturday night and we left both nights because it was too cold. Jimmy B's used to be the Best Beach Bar in Florida and was even voted to be #1 several years in a row before it was sold to some corporate place. They may not want locals, but locals are what keep places alive during the off seasons. I hope whoever is in charge wakes up and brings Jimmy B's back to life! It needs reviving! It's sad to see how run down it's become... :(

The only two things they have going for it is being on the beach and having live music. This place reminds me of the show Bar Rescue because the menu is basically a few things on one side of a page which is a hot dog and hamburger. Pricey nachos. The poor sole bartender had to scramble to fill everyone’s orders. No server in sight. There is no way anyone is having too much to drink at this place when it takes so long to get a drink. Worse bar we stopped at during our 1.5 month stay. Owners need to step it up. A waste of real estate.

is all part of the same hotel(resort) but the difference here is the service poor service and guests are just a number here, live music close to the beach the drinks are terrible pina coladas out of bottle tasteless . waste of money margaritas no comments .NEEDS to focus more in customers than making money.

Terrible experience. My teenage girls wanted to get out of the house so we made what we thought would be a quick stop at Jimmy B's before heading over to the beach. We say and waited for over 2 HOURS for our food to come out cold then handed a bill for $100. Oh but wait it gets worse...while we were waiting patiently at our table for food, a bouncer came over and began interrogating my 18 year old and telling us we needed to get up and LEAVE! He harassed us for a good 2 or 3 minutes with his voice raised embarrassing us in front of everyone saying that adults only were allowed to be here now. I told him we wanted to leave a long time ago but we still hadn't received our food! Our server Patrick had to step in and tell him to back off. I will never be back or recommend this place ever again after the way they treated my family then charge me $100 for it. Shame on you guys.

We went to JimmyBs for my wife’s birthday on 27/12/22. We were lucky enough to see “Duelling Pianos” play and they were awesome. We did have a (well behaved) 9 year old with us, but the bar is cool about that until 10.00PM as long as you stay outside, which is late enough for us (ie it is family friendly) . The band played an eclectic collection of music and also took requests. We did not eat there and only had drinks. My wife had some very pleasant and strong Blue Violet cocktails which were good value, but $6 for a small can of Bud Light is less so. There are no draught beers. Still there is no cover charge, the music is good and we had fun. The only negative thing about the evening was that I was charged $4.00 for service by the male bartender when I bought drinks directly at the outside bar. I think I was probably singled out because I was obviously English, paying cash and I guess he thought I would not leave a tip. I always tip the going rate and the service charge was not applied whenever I bought drinks at the inside bar. Being profiled on your potential for leaving gratuities really does suck but I did not make a thing about it as it was my wife’s birthday and we really do like the place.
If you want a great night in St Pete Beach with some decent live music, this is the place for you.

Dropped in one afternoon. Moderate number of people, lots of vaping. Even though it’s an open air bar, we couldn’t really get away from it. There was a musician but we couldn’t really hear him bc of the loud drama going on. The bar and various tables were not clean, sticky so we didn’t attempt food or specialty drinks. Settled for a bottle beer and canned seltzer. The good points were it is right on the water, great view, open air so you get the sea breeze and one of the genuinely nicest bartenders!

Beachside great location. Server nice but stressed due to limited help. Draft beer unavailable. No white wine at all for one of my guests. Menu very limited Red wine served in plastic cup. I guess if you are staying at the motel it is OKfor convenience. If it weren't on the beach it wouldn't survive. See where the current menu is stapled to the old menu...FFS get a color printer and make some fresh menus

We basically ate most of our meals and listened to live music here the entire stay. The food was delicious and we had the best service with Pablo. His professionalism and personality made us feel welcomed. He made sure everything was ok even when we was not serving our table the next day.

Jimmy B's was an excellent place to go for live entertainment and good food. Our server Jen was excellent. She always kept checking in on us to make sure the drinks kept flowing. The wait time for the food was spot on. Definately a place where people go to have a good time..

We went to Jimmy Bs last Tuesday 8/24 in the evening for my fiances birthday. We were sitting at the outside ar and she decided she wanted a Jimmy Bs Tshirt. So she went to the inside bar to ask about sizes and colors. When she came back she said the bartender was rude to her and told her he was too busy to check to see if they had her size. So the outside bartender had to go check for us, she was great. I will attach a picture of the bartender and the bar he was working so you all can see just how busy he was. Just unreal! We left and found all the t-shirts we needed at The Drunken Clam.

I think this is there shtick, but it's awful. Lots of smokers at each of the bars, no way to get away from it. Maybe they could dedicate a single non smoking area... happening little place, but the food is awful and the cigarette smoke. Gross.
