The Waiter Zoe was excellent, did a great job! He recommended an appetizer That was Good. Scallopuss seafood with sausage and purple mashed potato. My wifes Group Piccata Was sour tasting with Fettucine. Never seen it served with Fettucine before. Mine was chicken Parmesan with...Fettucine. The Piccata should be served with Angel hair or spaghetti. The Chicken parmigiana should be spaghetti or Penne! The gravy on the chicken and fettucine tasted like it came from some can or jar and poured on top. The dinner rolls were Brunt and not very tasty. The food was not worth what we payed. We have been to this restaurant around twenty times in the past, it was always great. The current ownership seems to have different chefs and menu, that is not even close too the prior owner . When Snappers ran it the food was good quality just like snappers has We. Will not return to this place. I was in the restaurant business for many years ..More

Great open air and third story view of the harbor. Both of us had seafood dishes that were excellent, service was great.

Reviews were good and the place looks really nice so we were looking forward to going. Food was average at best. I had the ribeye, which looked beautiful, but contained a lot of grisle and was far from the steak you would expect from a...good steakhouse. Asparagus was burnt and the mash potatoes were just meh. Even the toast that came with the goat cheese appetizer was a little burnt. New chefs? Too much for them to handle? Don't know. Wife's grouper was good but the sauce that came with it was not. Limited beer selection and no liquor. Waitress was friendly but forgot a couple of items. Dessert was good though. For the price of this dinner you can do much better elsewhere.More

A lovely, intimate dining experience to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our server Zoe was very attentive and made our visit that much more enjoyable. I had the Filet and my husband the Chicken Parmesan. Would definitely go again.

First and foremost, if your using iceberg lettuce for a wedge salad, your not fine dining. You can add fancy things and garnish, but it is still iceberg lettuce. Other restaurants on the strip use romaine lettuce and they are cheaper. For the rest of...the food, it was okay, had the grouper and shrimp, did fill me up but nothing to write home about.More

Chef Oliver’s five star rating was excellence exemplified in the amazing food and service. From the filet mignon to the Chilean Sea-bass, it was perfection. Ask for Mike to be your Server. He was kind and super cute! We can’t wait to go back :)

Our friends told us this Mad Fish restaurant was a must! Upon our arrival by Uber we were little shocked of how small it was. They had social distancing in place along with temperature checks at the entrance. They had tables set up on their...front porch area and inside they did the very best with social distancing but it was still small. The restaurant reminded us of either a double wide trailer feel or a caboose of a train either way I am trying my best to describe the small feel. They had a very nice wine collection and variety of seafood and steaks. They had a verbal kids menu rather than a print out and our daughter was in mood for a steak. The Chef was extremely nice and offered a small tenderloin steak for her $20, not bad for her delicatabke tender delicious steak! (I had a bite of course). I order Rib eye with a dallop of mash potatoes and 2 small asparagus twigs. I asked for the fattiest rib eye and boy the chef delivered!!! It was juicy, tender and done to perfection of 16oz goodness! I could not finish it all, asked for a to go container and unfortunately left it on the table as I was fumbling with my remembrance of mask and our children, yes I shed a tear as I remembered it half way to our hotel. My husband ordered the surf and turf, I have never seen a lobster tail that big before! Our son ordered the salmon and it came with a side of purple potatoes! I asked him how the flavor was and he said they didn’t have much of a flavor just the color was neat. His salmon was not as juicy as I would prefer it but my son loved it. Our waiter Mike was very attentive to our questions and our daughter who only wanted a pen to draw with he went over and beyond with some crayons for her. We live locally, but not on the beach, let me tell you we will be referring our friends & family and we will be dining here again to this hidden treasure. I was also told the main Chef is shy and on our way out the hostess asked how our meal was. As I gathered my words rapidly I told her “super fantastic amazing and please give the Chef a hug from me”. I can’t wait to savor that rib eye steak again or either eat to the last bite or not to forget my leftovers!!!!More

We were recommended to check out this location by our bartender at the Don Cesar hotel. Upon arrival we fell in love with the atmosphere of the revamped fine diner. The wine menu was perfect and the prices were one of the best we've seen....We had delicious appetizers and recommend the drunken shrimp (ps dip the bread in the sauce) My party raved about their filet which was cooked to perfection. I was graciously able to order the seafood trio (which wasn't on the "seasonal" menu but the Chef was happy to oblige) with the garlic sauce, which was excellent. And of course to top it off we all shared a slice of the key lime pie. Service throughout the evening was impeccable from our server Mike and we even had the opportunity to chat with the owners who were quite charming. We can't wait to come back again to our new favorite spot in St. Pete!More

We discovered MadFish two years ago while staying at the Grand Plaza Resort next door. That year we dined there twice as it was that good. Fast forward to 2020 and we were staying at the Grand Plaza again and dined at MadFish twice with...the food being fabulous as usual. I don’t get the negative reviews posted as the seafood entrees were fresh and prepared perfectly and the seafood chowder that we had as appetizers with both meals was fantastic as well. The service provided by Maria P was over the top and her knowledge of the entire menu as well as wine list was exceptional. For two chowders, 2 fresh fish entrees and two glasses of wine the total was $104 plus tip. One tip is that this restaurant only serves beer and wine so be prepared for that and be sure to make reservations as this gem fills up very quickly.More
