We were a little concerned that this restaurant is in a rather old hotel. It is rather dark and dated feeling but appearances aside, the food and service were quite good! The kitchen is exposed and busy with at least one chef and several helpers....More
Don’t let the appearance fool you. It’s really cool inside. The menu is Latin (everybody says Mexican, but There’s not a burrito on the menu. Try the chef’s cup of soup. I just had a beef soup, and it waswonderful.
My husband and I went to La Cocina for Valentine Day dinner. They did have a pre - fixed menu, which I am not crazy about. The restaurants just do it to control the menu. It was a little pricey, $80 per person but very...More
We ate here based on a recommendation from someone who has eaten here in the past. The food was very good but I would not say it was excellent. The server wasn't very friendly. The portions weren't very large. I think there are some better...More
We frequent La Cocina often. It is our go-to restaurant when we are entertaining guests. We anticipate fine dinning and we have not been disappointed. The many meals that we have enjoyed have been exceptional. The service is "spot-on". It is friendly and professional- never...More

This restaurant is in a hotel. It has 4.5 stars and maybe that’s for the dinner? We got the breakfast burrito and breakfast sandwich. Both were okay but not mind blowing. They do not have any coffee outside of drip for coffee lovers.

If you’re looking for a Bar on St. Augustine Beach, Sunset Grille is a good bar. If you travel into downtown, you will find a couple of great spots like Casa Maya on Hypolita. The restaurant is very good, but the bartender is true professional from NYC bar scene, and makes incredible drinks, plus it’s a great spot to sit and relax. A livelier scene with music is Prohibition Kitchen, they have large bar and the decor and vibe are super cool. With both places you are in the heart of the St. Augustine charm, which is why it’s one of the great towns in the country.
