What is Travelers’ Choice?
Tripadvisor gives a Travelers’ Choice award to accommodations, attractions and restaurants that consistently earn great reviews from travelers and are ranked within the top 10% of properties on Tripadvisor.
Catch 27 stands in the heart of historic St. Augustine, Florida. We believe in preparing and serving fresh, locally caught seafood from the nation's 27th State. We cook everything from scratch with seasonal ingredients and local produce. Our Fish, Shrimp, and Clams are caught in Florida waters, delivered fresh every day. The selection varies from Snapper to Sheepshead, Mahi Mahi to Triggerfish, and Flounder to Black Drum. Sea folk and Landlubbers will all find something they'll enjoy.

Were a little concerned when we walked into this absolutely empty restaurant on a Sunday afternoon, but what a gem! We had the shrimp roll and the crabcake sandwich - both were excellent with great presentation. Even the side salads were beautiful and fresh. The...indoor space is rather small, but they seemed very conscientious about COVID protocols. Service was prompt and attentive. Will definitely be back.More
It could be because the Plandemic was limiting things but we expected better form a restaurant that receives such high ratings. I am guessing the menu was limited and the waitstaff too, but it was just average. The waiter was a bit blah and unattentive...but maybe he was over worked. I don't know but our experience left us wanting.More
The food was absolutely fantastic, it really was. That being said, service was not. Fun fact, no matter which side you are on, sometimes people just want to have a nice meal without wait staff lecturing on politics. Just want to eat, don't need to...be pushed one way or another. If not for the forceful politics, would have gotten a 5 star review (and a bigger tip)More
Stopped in for lunch with a group of 10. Service was impeccable. Drinks were pricey but absolutely delicious. I had the blackened chicken tacos and they were amazing. We also had an appetizer with chips, cheese, and guacamole.
My husband had a grilled chicken sandwich,...which was always Perrault good!More
Ate here after visiting downtown St. Augustine and Fort. Right in the heart of it. Great locale after sightseeing. I had the crab cake sandwich and my husband had the fish tacos. Both were great! The social distancing part was great too. All servers wearing...masks and we were seated upstairs and they were only using a few tables to keep everyone separated. I know it's hard on the business and feel for all the restaurants during Covid, but they are taking it seriously and that will make people feel comfortable and want to eat there. Thanks!More
We made a little detour to St. Augustine while driving to Miami. Wanted to make a quick stop for dinner and yelped some places nearby. I'll be honest, I chose Catch 27 based on the good reviews and we were not disappointed!
My experience started...out somewhat bad due to a pretty rude front desk person. I called around 5 to possibly make a reservation for 5:30pm, but was not treated very nicely on the phone. Yakes! We were told that reservations were not taken and we better get to the restaurant fast as it would be full. It wasn't the message, but rather the delivery that threw me off. In fact, I wanted to skip altogether but also wanted to give the restaurant a shot. The restaurant was of course empty at such an early hour and we were quickly seated outdoors.
The outdoor dining area is very cute and open. The waiters wore masks and made us feel pretty safe during covid. The menus were disposable. And while pretty limited, there were a few interesting dishes to chose from.
I think the highlight of the dinner was our starter. Deviled eggs. A pretty generous portion of 4 halves that comes with a fried oyster on top. They were yummy. The rest of the food was also great, although my husband was slightly disappointed in his pasta dish.
Our server, unlike the front desk person, was super friendly and overall great.More
This was our go to place when we arrived. Had watched a You Tube video and knew the appetizer with deviled eggs and a fried oyster had my name on it. Expecting the contrast of hot oyster, cold egg but not the case. Oyster was...warm. I asked the server and he said they cook it fresh and he serves it. Not so. This was not very hot and a little soggy. Drinks were excessively priced and very small. Found out later that we were there during happy hour and drinks should have been reduced but that didn't happen. Oh what the Covid makes places do to make a buck. We were disappointed here.More
