Very casual, kitchy, space with upscale, excellent food. Decorated with various hens (they have one from me in blue glass!). The servers are good, and the wait on a Friday late morning was rather short.

Stopped by on a weekday for breakfast. Excellent food, great choices and exceptional value! Servers were great, fresh locally sourced ingredients, down to the table sugar and hot sauce. We had the 2 egg breakfast (only $5!) that came with the best biscuit I have...More

A friend recommended we go to the blue hen. It was absolutely delicious!!!! The server was very helpful and the food was delicious. The biscuits are delicious especially with their honey butter. Definitely a good breakfast spot!

We happened upon this sweet breakfast spot and very happy we did! The retro dishes and decor took us back to childhood memories of the 70s! The food was pretty good! A little crisp around the edges mostly, but lots of real potential! I would...More

Love this place! Retro, kitschy, and delicious! We shared the corned beef hash and the chicken biscuits, both amazing. And the watermelon mimosa in a big glass was a great start!

Amazing breakfast! The home fries are perfect! The collards in the southern omelette are cooked perfectly. It's a small cafe and you might have a little bit of a wait time but you can have a mimosa while you wait (we definitely took advantage of...More

I've been here for lunch a few times, got the pressed pastrami with home fries. Delicious! I really need to make it back for breakfast, or a yard bird for lunch. Great food!

If you're having a laid back Saturday morning, just bring something to read and have a nice relaxing wait. It will be worth it.
Is it hard to find parking near the restaurant? What parking options are there? Street parking? Garage? Flat lot? Thanks!

They have their own parking lot next door on the corner of MLKing & Kingsferry, it holds approximately 8-10 cars & There is unlimited street parking within a block but just a few in front of the restaurant
