Whenever we go to St Augustine we always make time to stop here. You should too. Great for lunch or dinner. They always have great daily specials. Country cooking Florida style.

I had the gator tail, fried green tomatoes and a cobb salad to keep it healthy... Hands down the best gator I have eaten. The wait times was perfect. We had our drinks on the table in a couple of minutes. Appetizers came out quickly....We ate at our leisure. We were not rushed. A few minutes after finished our appetizers the entrees were being served. Nash, the waiter, was awesome. The kid could have sold me the store if he wanted to. He was nice and attentive. No need for us to ask for the refills he was on it. I really enjoy a waiter that can have a little chat with the customers without neglecting the other tables. Thanks Nash. I tried fried twinkies for the first time. Very happy I ate the salad cause those twinkies can not be healthy but by God they if I am going to die this is the way I would like to go. The manager chef Marc, yea Nash, Marc with a “c”, came out to greet us. I have always believed it to be a sign of confidence in their food when managers walk out to their dining rooms. It is also a measure of how much they care about their business. Engaging the customer to ensure his food was up to par. I will definitely make a point of returning for more next time I am in the area.More
My husband said his shrimp was the sweetest shrimp that he has ever had and the grits were amazing! I had the gator bites and the dipping sauce that came with them was out of this world! Key lime pie for dessert because why not....Yum!!
They had awesome fried green maters here the sauce was killer. Good gator as well. Service was fast and friendly
It was a great night for venturing out into downtown St. Augustine. As a local, I have missed that so much! The weather was perfect and our meal made it even more perfect. Our server, Ryan, was so welcoming and had the most infectious laugh,...(even while wearing a mask)! He made me happy, and who doesn't need to feel happy during these crazy COVID times? I had a couple of options in mind and Ryan helped steer me in the right direction with red sangria and shrimp and grits. WOW! I've eaten a lot of shrimp and grits in my day, but without a doubt, the Florida Cracker's shrimp and grits were the best and the sangria, too! Meals come with two sides. I chose the homemade kettle chips and coleslaw. YUM! My husband ordered chicken strips with fries and pasta salad. The chicken was crunchy on the outside, very moist on the inside and the dill dipping sauce was scrumptious. The fries were crispy and cooked to perfection and the pasta salad was good, too. We don't usually share our meals, but we couldn't help ourselves. We were actually fighting over each other's food. By the end of the night, both of our plates were completely empty! Thank you, Florida Cracker, for such a memorable meal. You made our night, and we'll definitely be back!More
We tried this because they had gator on their appetizers. We live in Florida and this was the worse gator we have ever had. If there was any gator it was pounded out paper thin and heavily breaded. If you never had gator you still...wouldn't know what it tasted like after ordering it here. I ordered their famous blue crab cakes. Again it was all breading very little crab and not even crab flavor, the Cole slaw was hot and was only cabbage and mayo. One the up side the fries were the only good thing. My wife asked if they could grill shrimp instead of fried which they were willing to do. She got the dozen shrimp which all would have fit on one skewer. They shrimp were almost burnt on one side and very heavily seasoned. On the up side the burgers and sandwiches coming out did look good, but I did not try them.More
We both had the shrimp po boy sandwich along with fries and cold slaw. Service and food was good however I would have preferred the waiter wear his mask. Will probably return after covid 19 has officially ended. They did a good job at social...distancing the tables however!More
We welcomed the indoor air conditioned space after walking around in the heat of the day. Staff wore mask and gloves. I had the crab balls. They were great. Lightly breaded and about the size of a walnut. Served r we other a Tatar sauce....My husband had the Cobb salad which he enjoyed. It was a light lunch, but we enjoyed it.More
We happened upon this place during our first visit to St. Augustine last weekend. We had the best experience! The service was amazing! The atmosphere was wonderful because you could sit outside and enjoy the view. From our first encounter with the young lady seating...us to our server Ryan, we felt like regulars even though it was our very first visit. The food was amazing, and we even stopped back by two other times just for pie lol. Don't miss this place. You won't regret stopping in.More
Nice spot for a light lunch! The food was great! We ordered the gator tail app. I had the shrimp wrap and my husband ordered the shrimp ok boy. Both were great options. We’ll definitely be back!
