1st pub we walked in & was dirty not clean smelled so bad, and floors were very sticky. Couldn't order anything as it was so musty inside.

The best Reuben sandwich!! The price was really good, A fun over 21 place to eat and get a beer. Only a cook and a bar tender manning the place but they kept things moving.
When you're visiting St. Augustine, FL and touring up or down St. George's Street, and you accidentally stumble into St. George's Tavern...friend you have arrived. Sure, it's a bar with all that drinkery ambience, what us Southerners call, atmosphere. But I believe the lady barkeeper...server me the best Reuben sandwich I've ever had, zesty and piled high with the most delicious corned beef you could want! Linda had a French Dip to die for. A bunch of local young uns training to work a yet unopened restaurant we're amazed that we found this treasured eatery and watering hole. Good luck to Saxon, Brooke, Victoria and the gang. Want it casual and absolutely great, visit the St George's Tavern and tell 'em La Padrino Timberlake sent you.More
They know how to pour a Pint of Guinness and an excellent Hamburger. Wished they would cook around dinner time instead of lunch
This place was great! Very unassuming little place. The food was amazing and the service by Heather was excellent . Oh and the pours were plentiful!
This place is seriously "movie Dive bar" material. Dark and dank, full of characters-- the drinks were cold and our server was friendly and kinda what you'd expect. She offered full pours of wine and had that cigarette smoky voice that seemed to be perfect...for the place itself.More
Not bad great to have a great drink & cold beer. Service ok. I think its worth to stop by. Trust it a interesting place lol.
Friendly dive bar with mediocre food and good drinks. We had bratwurst and a burger for lunch. This was our second attempt at visiting. The day prior we left after not being attended to. Heather was our server and she was friendly, but covering many...tables and the bar so we went to the bar to get condiments and drinks after waiting a bit.More
We wandered in to have a few beers and get the lay of the land. What we ended up with was great food, great times, and a ton of information for the area. We had a bratwurst and on Friday we had the chicken and...ribs. The owner, Pat and his wife, Rachael were very welcoming and pointed us in the right direction for food and entertainment. All staff and other patrons were friendly and we felt like "regulars" the minute we walked in.More
So happy we found this excellent little spot to grab a sandwich and drink while wandering. The owner was friendly and service was great! I got the Club and hubby got the Patty melt, we Intended to share but each was so happy with our...choice that sharing didn’t really happen! All the meat was cut fresh and the onions:mushrooms sautéed while we waited. The cold slaw is made fresh and absolutely excellent!More
We found this tavern to be extremely friendly with a locals atmosphere with good eats and great prices. Would recommend it.
Someone recommended we try here, as we were looking for a place that served liquor. They still allow smoking inside, but if you're ok with that, the drinks were great as were the prices.
Was the oldest bar in St. Augustine. Decent beers on tap. I do not drink had a virgin moscow mule that the first bartender gave it to me for free. Second bartender was not real friendly. We stayed for one drink and left. Warning smoking...is aloud in the bar, I do not spoke by my Fiance does so he liked it me not so much. Old time bar stop in and have a drink, worth seeing the place.More
A relaxed, friendly, odd, funky place. Smoking is allowed in the bar, but, don't freak out, there are extractors going, so the smoke is sucked out. All types of people in here, just having fun. Very reasonable drinks. Food is available up until 1600. We...enjoyed it 3 times.More
Before visiting St. Augustine, I did a little research on the historic town. I came across this tavern and knew I wanted to stop in for a cold pint and I'm really happy we did! Definitely a Locals place and I like that. My wife...had the chicken salad club & I had a Reuben. BOTH were beyond delicious and very generous portions and sides. The Guinness was a perfect pour and it was nice to relax from the crowds for a little while. The bartender (wish I could remember her name) was fantastic. She had a great way about her... about to make you feel welcome and have a conversation while she poured drinks and took orders for the entire bar. That's not an easy thing to do and she has my respect. She also doesn't take any B.S. as we witnessed when some young guy tried to get served by claiming he was retired law enforcement. The scene was quite entertaining and she was quick and firm with her denial of service. You rock!More
