This is a favorite of ours. My wife gets the vegan tree hugger roll and loves it. I usually get whatever the special is since it never fails to be a delicious meal. The staff are all friendly and helpful and service is good. The...vies are nice and the overall atmosphere is one of a friendly neighborhood bar. What else could you want in a restaurant. I had a half dozen oysters on the half shell. They were fresh and had a nice flavor. I had the flounder special – broiled with a crabmeat topping. My wife had her tree hugger roll. We usually don’t get a dessert but this time we did – the peanut butter and jelly cheesecake sounded interesting. It was pretty good and tasted like PB&J. 4-8-2021More

Food was delicious as usual. Our server Steven, did a great job with a party of 6 and the assistant manager Dave, did a great job of defusing a really bad situation. Only reason I’m leaving a 3 instead of a 1, is because I’m...a regular and I like the staff and food. The bad situation arose from the managing partner, Christie, who had problem with people standing at the bar in a party of 6, which we had done the night before without any issues. Some were standing and some sitting. She sent the assistant manager over to ask us to wait outside. Well.....it happened to be raining. I’m not sure if they didn’t want to serve us, by asking the standing part of our party to wait in the rain or if she has a control issue, as she attempted to direct 1 of our female guests where she should “sit” and wait for the bathroom. I don’t really care how it’s done up North, but instructing adult guests on where to “sit” and wait for the bathroom and requesting guests wait in the rain, isn’t really too bright.More

I saw a review about this restaurant on YouTube, we showed up and we’re seated fairly quickly especially considering it was spring break. The horseradish encrusted mahi might be the best fish dinner I’ve ever had. It was absolutely amazing, a large portion, came out...hot right from the kitchen and it was so good I couldn’t even eat my sides.More

I have been waiting months to get good crab legs. I read the reviews and thought these would be good, but was unfortunately disappointed. We literally just left there and I very rarely complain, but with the price I paid for the dinky crab legs...that were stuck to the shell, I had to say something. Our server, Samson, started off well, but as the restaurant got busier he completely forgot about us. I had to get up for salt and pepper, we had to ask a food runner for a drink I had ordered 15 minutes ago and I saw sitting on the bar. A hostess cleared dishes from our table twice and he was nowhere around. Perhaps that is the management’s fault... understaffed? Anyway, we were looking forward to a great seafood meal and it was mediocre at best.More

Another nice visit. Nothing new added to the vegan option, the Tree Hugger. We spoke with Christie, the owner. She was noncommittal but said she’d speak with the new chef. We also talked to former neighbor, Dillon. Michele had the Tree Hugger, I had the...flounder special – broiled with a crab sauce on top with asparagus and red beans and rice. I started with a half dozen fresh oysters; they were good. I had their specialty drink, a Key Lime Pie Kingtini. Too sweet and creamy although it did taste like Key Lime pie. 3-5-2021More

.....We always come here and love the food, the bar, the sushi, the service. From the shrimp to the ribs, never dissappointed. But.....Don't order the fish tacos! What a shame. We live in Jacksonville and stay in St. Augustine and Ponte Vedra often and always...come here. But today...we ordered the fish tacos. All I can say to the chef is "what the hell?" Minced, chopped mahi?? And hardly any of it? Sad. Seasoning was way off. Worst Mahi taco from Jax to Melborne. Leave the fish in one piece please. I ordered the Mahi sandwich and it rocked! If we had more time I would have insisted both of my guests sent them back to the kitchen...they were that dissappointing. So I strongly recommend this restaruant...but leave their tacos alone.More
