There were four of us for lunch at the Café Alcazar. This converted Victorian-era indoor swimming pool defies description. Impeccable service and background guitar music provided for relaxation and enjoyment of our meal. The others choose sandwiches prepared in a way that is unique to...More

Unusual historic venue at the bottom of a dry swimming pool. Good menu unprofessional staff, mediocre chef. Make your preferences known, do not accept "we must cook to State Health Law standards" OVERDONE AND TASTELESS!,

Absolutely great food and service. My wife and I loved to learn the history of the place. It's great to see such a beautiful place.

An amazing little lunch cafe located in the bottom of what was once the worlds largest in door swimming pool. Beautifully decorated, live music, our server Mike was very knowledgeable of the area and the location of the cafe. Even though we are local, he...More

Decided to try while we were here on vacation and I am still asking myself why? Salad was awful for the price. My chicken club sandwich actually had the vein in it and gristle on the edge. Come on an extra 2 seconds to make...More

My sisters and I met for a wonderful lunch at the Cafe Alcazar. Awesome food and a very attentive waiter, just fabulous. You truly feel like you are transported back in time!

Service and atmosphere were good, but chicken in my mother's club sandwich was loaded with gristle and she could not enjoy it. Our salads were mediocre for the price.

We really enjoy dining here during our St Augustine visits. The food and the venue are wonderful. This time, regretfully, it was freezing cold and that made our time there less than enjoyable.

I have been a regular customer over the years. I adore the ambience...do calm and peaceful. Have had both business lunches here, as well casual lunch with friends. The food is fresh and delicious, reasonably priced. One of my favorite lunch spots in downtown.

The cafe is predominantly a lunch restaurant, with very limited dates for dinner. It is well worth the wait if you're not able to make it for lunch.
