La Herencia is on Aviles St. - the oldest street in the country. We had a nice lunch here. They specialize in Cuban-centric food, and the dishes are tasty. It is a good place to take a break during your walking tour of town.

Don't waste your time. Sandwich burnt. Claiming it was caramelized. Ordered café con leche. Coffee was weak not Cuban at all...to top it off no parking 😑 ...

We found this place on our pass through St. Augustine. Quaint little restaurant with a quick menu of sandwiches and several dishes. I ordered a steak sandwich which was delicious, the sweet plantains were so good too. Unfortunately my kids were not fond of their Cuban sandwiches they said it was cold and they told me after the fact. The... More

The location of this cafe is in a quaint, quiet street. It reminded me European cafes. The food was good/average- hubby had the Frita ( he loved), I had a salad, it was okay ( it did the job), and the sangria was average. Our server was not the best, gave us wrong soup specials ( winded up not having... More

The waitress was very nice and attentive, however the food was mediocre. I've heard good things about their Cuban sandwiches though, but sadly we were unable to try them. They were located on a cute little side street. We ate outside and it was quiet compared to the rest of the downtown area.

This little gem was one of our favorites. We ate here twice during the week. Loved the Cuban sandwich. Breakfast was good too. Our waitress was so friendly and helpful. We sat outside at the sidewalk tables and soaked up some sun and local culture. Much quieter here on Aviles St. vs. St. George St. I don't usually eat dessert,... More

Walked to the old historic area and down the oldest street in America and found this eatery by accident. We enjoyed the sandwiches, Media Noche and BLT with avocado, along with the Platanos Maduros or Fried Sweet Plantains. Everything was tasty especially the raisin bread pudding which I almost did not order because I was full.,

On a busy evening we were lucky to find a restaurant with an open table. The bigger restaurants near the harbor had one hour waiting lists for dinner. Walking through the city we took a chance and were very pleased with the outcome. We started with an Empanada each and began to smile again. My Grilled mango fish wrap sandwich... More

My family and I were starving, so we grabbed a late lunch here. I have only had Cuban food twice and this was a bit disappointing. I think that the first one ruined me because it was SO flavorful. This was good, but not very flavorful. It was a nice lunch on a beautiful day!
