Busy spot ont the streets of St. Augustine. Great location. Good view of lights across Bridge of Lions.A Dec night with golf girlfriends celebrating Holidays and couple of birthdays. So we were all in festive mood. Found room at bar for a cocktail. If you call ahead they will try to prepare. We were a large number, 10 or more.... More

We visited the A1A Ale Works on the recommendation of a friend who had spent alot of time in Saint Augustine. We had lunch. The view was great. The food was edible but with all the other options nearby I probably would not return in the future. The service was good. As always, give it a try and form your... More

Visited here for first time this week. Had dinner outside; very enjoyable. Excellent brews and entrees. The tuna was excellent! Friendly server. Will definitely return.

(I thought of writing 2 separate reviews, one for the upstairs bar and one for the restaurant, but decided to consolidate into one) My rating is for the restaurant. We stopped in on 12/3 about 4:00P.M. for a late lunch / early dinner. The place was already busy, and we wanted to sit outside on the balcony, so we went... More

On Nov 27, 2016 we traveled down to St. Augustine to see the Christmas lights. We were all hungry so we decided to check out this place. We were welcomed when we got to the top of the stairwell. The restaurant appeared to be fairly busy. We waited a few minutes after being seated. The server disappeared to get our... More

On the weekend we visited, the weather was beautiful so we wanted to sit outside. They have a large outdoor patio with a beautiful view. Our food was great, the beers were great (we got the pilsner & light lager) and the service was excellent. Highly recommend!

This was wonderful. Dining out on the balcony was a treat. The view was incredible. The water, the bridge, the busy streets, all very relaxing. One of my friends had the Spinach and goat cheese salad and stated it was the best thing she ever ate! The ale and cheese soup was creamy and hot. The service was very good,... More

We were seated outside on the balcony facing the Bridge of Lions and the Bay. Great place to people watch, always something to see. If you are looking for topnotch cuisine, then go elsewhere, but this is great for lunch or drinks

We enjoyed the view of the holiday lights from the balcony, but the restaurant itself was only okay. The food was generously portioned and flavorful. My cocktail was a bit watery. The other guests in my party were also only okay with their food.

We got into town late and we stumbled upon A1A Ale Works. The balcony was wonderful, but the food was the worst. Saying the food came out lukewarm would be giving it too much credit...it also tasted terrible. There are so many wonderful places in town to eat and I wish we wouldn't have wasted a meal here.
