Family-owned establishment. Love seeing the same folks year after year. Love their lunch sandwiches which are classic Italian deli (per my husband from Napoli, Italia). I can go out of my usual wheelhouse of sandwiches and will eat the whole thing, such as the "Wanna Be Italian". Hot Roast Beef, Sausage and Peppers, Godfather, Steak and Onion with Cheese...you can't go wrong! We also stock up our condo fridge with mortadella, prosciutto di parma, and provolone for lunches at the condo, plus picking up some lady fingers, cafe, and mascarpone for making our own tiramisu (they have wonderful tiramisu, but we enjoy making our own as a special treat). Can we take these folks home with us??? :)

Finally got to D'Aleo's! I had the "Wanna be Italian". It was awesome. I called ahead. It was ready when I got there. I'm from Jersey/Philly area and lived in Italy for 2 years. This took me back! The bread is so amazingly crunchy yet soft on the inside. Portion was huge! I'll be back ALOT.

Great mom and pop Italian deli run by the son. They have it all. I go there every couple of months to stock up on imported Olive Oil, Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese, Prosciutto Parma, and all the things that we grew up with. Great Italian Deli. Al Iannacone Sr.

Was looking for a good Italian deli in st Augustine and this had a 4.8 stars score on Google reviews. They claim to have fresh pasta but they get it from a distributor and freeze it. The bread they use to make sandwiches is disgusting. Publix makes better sandwiches!! As a former NYer I was disgusted when I walked in . Dirty, messy shop. Will never go back and don’t recommend anyone goes there. Big waste.

We found this Italian deli while in St. Augustine 2 years ago & loved it. We are back in the area for only 2 days & drove 20 minutes each way just to go get a sandwich for lunch! I had Sausage with Peppers, and my husband had The Hit Man. Delish!

We were staying in St. Augustine Beach and looking for a good spot to grab a sandwich. Did not want a chain restaurant, and had recently returned from a trip to Italy. So we took a drive to D'Aleo's Deli and were pleasantly surprised! Authentic food, great service - we will be back!!! We should have picked up extra sandwiches to take for our flight home - better than anything you could get at the airport!

Awesome sandwiches and service. We drove from Jacksonville to have one of their sandwiches. The Godfather sandwich is awesome.

Best Italian Deli we have ever found. We travel at least once a month from Ocala to pick up the Ravioli and enjoy our favorite "Hit Man" sub.

I must say my experiences are limited to the #3 sub which is now and addiction, the cannolis and there cheese cake made with ricotta. These items are wonderful. The owner and staff are very friendly. Wish they stayed open later.

Everything about this place brings me back to Rutland , VT. Where Italian food is prevalent . Gil’s sandwich shop in Rutland , est. 1963. I went there as a child when they opened . Not many places that do subs “right”. Drakes deli is a great example , but a bit of a drive when living near Butler beach . So I tried D’Aleo’s , and it’s a tad more “Italian “ than Drakes , both serve fantastic subs. But for nostalgia, I’ll give the nudge to D’Aleo’s . One reason .. better Italian meat selection and Italian hot cherry peppers vs some hot relish mix. And with both , your supporting a family run biz, increasingly hard to find when it comes to food.

Friends are what you will meet at this restaurant. This wonderful family owned business is a must if you want a real Italian sub.
Yes there are many other things on the menu, but I can’t get past The Godfather. So delicious and I wish I could eat two. The great folks that own this establishment make you feel right at home. Do go see them!

Greeted like a friend at the door as soon as you walk in. Everything made from scratch. A true mom and pop Italian deli.
Lunch time sandwiches are perfect. Chewy bread, fresh meats and veggies with the right amount of oil/vinegar.
Always a great selection of olives, pepper shooters, and cheese.
Grab some of their fresh sausage if it’s there.
Highly recommended.
