We had been to Collage a few times over the past year or two and always came away thinking that, based upon all the rave reviews, we must have been missing something. We tried the restaurant again a few nights ago and confirmed the fact...that Collage's food is just "OK". The hostess, our waiter and other servers were super-courteous and efficient, but even their stellar service couldn't outweigh the tough veal and tasteless grouper. Lovely atmosphere, pleasant people but the food is just not worth the price.More

We started with Bruschetta carpaccio and wine. After one beef Wellington and one beautifully presented Fish of the day with red pepper risotto, one could hardly believe we had room for dessert (strawberries sautéed in butter with vanilla sauce over ice cream!!) but alas we...could not resist! A romantic dinner completed with Port and dessert! An incredible evening… highly recommendMore

We came here on a Thursday evening for dinner. We were seated promptly. Seating and space between tables was comfortable. We had a Bellini and a cava brut champagne to start. Both were good. For an appetizer we had the tenderloin bruschetta. The meat was...very tender and the spices were very complimentary. I would not have it again though. A lot of folks seemed to order the escargot. The server went to take away the bread plates and bread basket along with the empty appy plate. I mentioned that I hadn’t even had a slice yet. My husband asked for butter. The butter arrived, but not the replacement bread plates. Small item, but annoying. We ordered the lobster ravioli and also the veal for entrees. The lobster ravioli dish was OK. My husband loved the shrimp and lobster out of the shell. The ravioli was a tad bit chewy in terms of the pasta. I would not be able to guess they were filled with lobster had I not known earlier. The ($52) price was steep. The veal orleans dish was my order. I found it nice and tender, although the top of the egg-dipped veal was severely burned. It was black in spots. It was a shame because the veal was so tender otherwise. We were surprised they served it in such a state. It was an anniversary date for us, which I didn’t even remember noting when making the reservation. The server brought us a rum cake on the house. It was so welcome and delicious. Our server Madeline was very nice and helpful.More

We are very hard to impress when it comes to restaurants but this one did not disappoint. The entire meal was delicious. The beef tenderloin with Vidalia onion Gorgonzola sauce was one of the best we’ve ever had. The intermezzo was a white balsamic strawberry...sorbet which had a delicious intense strawberry flavor which was amazing. We also really enjoyed the goat cheese salad and toasted coconut ice cream. The restaurant is small and intimate with wonderful service. Start to finish this was one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time.More

From the time you enter this lovely intimate restaurant you will know you are in for a special evening. The food is delicious, perfectly seasoned and presented. Even the Bread flown in from NY and served with fresh roasted garlic and olive oil is out of...the ordinary. Special attention to detail all the way. Do not pass over the special signature dessert, bouganvilla ,strawberries with with house made phyllo.More

Luis is an exceptional server, very personable and sweet. My boyfriend did not feel well all day, but we did not want to cancel our reservation. We ended up needing to take our delicious food with us and Luis was so understanding and accommodating. Our...only regret is that we came here on our last night in town. The restaurant was very enchanting, the food was perfection, and the service was amazing. We will definitely be returning here the next time we are in town!More

We dined here for our 25th anniversary dinner based solely on the reviews. The ambiance and food was excellent but the service lacked the extra touch for a place of this caliber. Our server had 4 tables (in a very small area) and was not...as attentive as she should have been considering the restaurant. As my main example, our food was serve and she never once checked on us after that until we had finished eating. And she walked by us multiple times. Close to 10 to 15 times as she was serving, as I mentioned, 4 tables in a confined area. Other than that, it was a great experience.More

This was my favorite restaurant in st Augustine. Last night was awful. $50 entree was inedible. If I took an Instagram photo, it would put them out of business. Brown goo surrounded by oil. It was supposed to be veal. Loud patrons, way too much...light. Not a fine dining experience. Service very good. Hope this was just a bad night, but it will be a while before I go back.More

For good reasons this place was packed the entire evening and people had to be turned away. This is a nice, small restaurant with excellent service and a great menu to choose from, well managed and a lot of happy customers. Including us.

This is a special occasion restaurant. It is not the typical tourist eatery, yet there was a man there in shorts. With entrees hovering around $50, it should be a dressed up evening. At least my husband and I were dressed appropriately! The only surprise...for us was that Collage serves only wine and beer. They do not serve any spirits. The wine list is extensive and has a good range in prices. We started with warm, crusty bread served with roasted garlic and basil infused oil. Yum. I had the Duo Di Manzo, tenderloin medallions with pasta filled with short ribs served with a Gorgonzola cream that did not overwhelm. Crispy onions were on top, and perfectly cooked asparagus spears were nestled under the beef. My husband had the tenderloin with the signature sauce. It was a bit too spicy for his taste, but he devoured it anyway. Both tenderloins were cooked exactly as ordered. Mine was also perfectly seasoned. We were celebrating our anniversary, and the restaurant treated us to their butter rum cake for dessert. We split that and also split the strawberry and ice cream dessert. A perfect dinner.More
