Nice restaurant, interesting story about owners, food good nothing exceptional except the bread. Extensive wine list. Nothing spectacular but ok place to eat.

My wife and I visit the Columbia every time we visit St. Augustine! This visit was better than the earlier visits, though they were great as well! The food is exquisite, yet reasonably priced. And the 1905 Salad is to die for. On top of that, our waiter, Jonah, made the experience all the more memorable. Pleasant attitude, timely service,... More

The is my wife's favorite restaurant. At a minimum we go for Mother's Day and my wife's birthday every year. The food here is so clean and the portions are very generous. The 1905 salad is a must!! Most of the meals are between the $12-15 range . If you're on a budget and you are going to splurge on... More

Nice ambience and decor, but let down by sloppy wait staff and an average kitchen product. We left feeling like we had paid too much for the the quality of the experience. We had the tapas which was ok but had we not wanted a light lunch, would have been too little for us. I would suggest that the owners... More

This restaurant is excellent. Great food, poor service outside. We were waiting for our waitress for more than 15 minutes to get to al us for our choices, food was cold. Even if the restaurant is crowed...we are also paying for good service and good food,, but unfortunately we were very disappointed.

My husband and I had an early New Year's Eve dinner there. We did have reservations which was a good thing as they were busy, even in the middle of the afternoon. We've been to the Columbia many times before and it has always been good with excellent service. My husband had the boliche and I had crab cakes, we... More

Let me start by saying I live in Miami, so Cuban restaurants are everywhere here. While the food was very good, it is also overpriced for what it is. The restaurant is very nice, though, and pleasing to the eye. That said, I get the feeling that the restaurant mostly caters to tourists and people who generally can't get Cuban... More

My husband and I were in St. Augustine to celebrate our 18th Wedding Anniversary and when he asked me where I'd like to go to dinner this was my pick. He called and made the reservation, saying that it was our Wedding Anniversary and asked if they could accommodate with a cozy table for 2 tucked away in a corner... More

Oh my goodness, we cannot believe the many ways that we let you down when you were here with us to celebrate your 18th wedding anniversary. Please accept our apologies for these many unacceptable service issues. We will use your observations for further training, and to remind all of our employees of the care and concern that we expect them... More

Go for the festive atmosphere, food so so of course some people love it, suspect it must be the wine.

Description
Family-owned and operated for over 111 years, Columbia has earned acclaim for its old-world charm and award-winning Spanish/Cuban cuisine and wine list. Join us for century-old family recipes like Paella "a la Valenciana," Filet Mignon and fresh seafood specialties. Don't miss Columbia's Original "1905" Salad(R), prepared tableside with our delicious, freshly-made dressing, a 110-year-old family recipe of fresh garlic, oregano, wine vinegar and Spanish extra virgin olive oil. Be sure to sample a fine Spanish wine like Montecillo or Campillo. Relax in our courtyard or Mediterranean-style dining rooms, filled with hundreds of hand-painted tiles and Spanish-style fountains. We are a sister to the Columbia in Tampa's Ybor City, founded in 1905. Children's menu available. Casual attire is fine, but we don't allow sleeveless shirts on men.
