We visited this place after learning about it on a trolley tour. We are from Texas and know great latin food, but we decided we had to try the oldest Spanish restaurant in Florida! We had fun learning about the family and the history of this place. We got tapas and enjoyed the food. Although we thought it to be... More

On Friday night we made reservations for Saturday night. A must to do- there was over a 2 hour wait for a table on Saturday night without a reservation. We waited about 10 minutes with the reservation. First time here- I ordered chicken appetizer and a side 1905 salad. The salad was fabulous! The chicken appetizer came with peppers so... More

My first impression of this restaurant was suprise at how big it is. That may be part of the problem we experienced. The food was really just okay. Nothing special. My husband had the snapper and the portion was large and cooked fine but the sides were not impressive. I had the beef tips with yellow rice. Not a lot... More

For many years we have had meals at the Columbia restaurant's and they have always been excellent and this visit was the same. However we do miss the bakery and the Sunday buffet at St.Augustine but times change. We,both had the red snapper done different ways and both of us had to take portions home because of the amount served. After you have... Recently had a wonderful Spanish/Cuban dinner. The portions were very large and the prices were reasonable.

After friends highly recommended the Columbia...we were expecting much more than crowded dining....above average prices...mediocre food....and an 30 minutes wait while empty tables were left unused...guessing it was to ensure that everyone had more than adequate time in their gift shop...the waitress and her wonderful personality was the only good point.....skip the name and try one of the other pubs....restuarants...or... We live in St Augustine and for a number of years have dined here now and again. For the first couple of years that we dined here, we always enjoyed their meals and service, but in the last year or two the service has been going down hill, steadily. The last three times ( over 6 mos) that we dined... More

If you are in Old Town and you are hungry, this is the place to go. The food is beyond wonderful. I had the Bacon wrapped fried shrimp dish. I have never had shrimp cooked this way before. Each one in our party had a different type of rice and they were all very good. The pork chops were good... More

I have eaten at the Columbia many times in all locations and am never disappointed! The good is consistently delicious and the service impeccable. The 1905 salad, prepared tableside is a MUST! It is the best salad going! The fresh Cuban bread served warm us a meal in itself! And finally, the black bean soup is so delicious. My husband... More

Family-owned and operated for over 111 years, Columbia has earned acclaim for its old-world charm and award-winning Spanish/Cuban cuisine and wine list. Join us for century-old family recipes like Paella "a la Valenciana," Filet Mignon and fresh seafood specialties. Don't miss Columbia's Original "1905" Salad(R), prepared tableside with our delicious, freshly-made dressing, a 110-year-old family recipe of fresh garlic, oregano, wine vinegar and Spanish extra virgin olive oil. Be sure to sample a fine Spanish wine like Montecillo or Campillo. Relax in our courtyard or Mediterranean-style dining rooms, filled with hundreds of hand-painted tiles and Spanish-style fountains. We are a sister to the Columbia in Tampa's Ybor City, founded in 1905. Children's menu available. Casual attire is fine, but we don't allow sleeveless shirts on men. Open 365-days a year, including all holidays. Please visit our website for the most current menu listings.
