We had an excellent meal. The Red Snapper was delicious as were the crab cakes. Of course the Key Lime pie was delicious. Nice atmosphere, pretty scenery, interesting decor inside. Friendly staff and good service. The food was all very good!!! Great place to eat.

YAY!!!! Winner Winner Seafood Dinner. We arrived and the outdoor seating was closed due to rain earlier but they blew it off, dried the table and chairs and placed tablecloths on the tables. In about 5 minutes. Thank you...but wait. DJ waited on us hand...and foot. We had the salmon and red snapper on the plank. Sides were hushpuppies....yum, greens and baked potatoes. Seriously one of the best meals and then you add the incredible sunset. WOW. Sorry you others didn't have the right food, waiter or ambiance.More

Was shocked, service was slow along with tables being somewhat empty on a Sunday night. Menu was not what it use to be. More Ribs and Chicken on menu a lot less seafood. I would of gone somewhere else if I wanted high priced chicken....Did away with some of my favorites, the coleslaw recipe was not as fresh as it use to be, when you use carrots or anything with color, the sauce will get a tint it tells when it was made. The crab cakes are mushy and crab was not good quality, but expensive. Fried shrimp were cooked to perfection, but were cold and so were the french fries. 40$ for meal without tip and no alcohol was ordered. Will not be back, lost a long time customer of 5 years.More

Nice atmosphere and view. Old Florida Seafood Restaurant located in the Marsh. Server was great. I had the Combo Platter. Toasted Parmesan 1/2 rolls were Awesome. Coleslaw was good. Fried Shrimp was ok but downhill from there. Kinda bad when the top 2 things you...like are the bread and coleslaw. Crab Cake tasted like stuffing with no crab. Fried Snapper was.... not sure it was snapper and got charged extra for it. Collard greens were sweet and spicy hot and tough with a smokeness that made them interesting and I got my veggies, that's all. Way Over Priced!!! Around $25 Enough Said.More

Location was nice with views. Food was awful. Crab cakes had almost no crab. All mushy. Blackened flounder was so blackened and overcooked the fish was gone. Blackened shrimp were terribly overcooked. French fries were good.

This is the third review we have done on this restaurant. Our first review was poor and then gave them another chance and that review was good. This time, we didn't even eat. We were on vacation and ate at many restaurants on this trip....Each one we ate at was serving their full menu. The exception was Salt Water Cowboys. First, it took 10 minutes to get waited on. The menu was incredibly scaled back to their more expensive dishes. They did not have the lighter fare/senior menu. Kids menu was limited to two items. We never ordered. We ended up leaving and going to The Oasis where we got a much better meal.More

service slow, server never checked on us. I ordered lobster creekside and there was no lobster meat. All pasta, cream sauce was very bland. Heard other people complain about this dish. Will never return.

Our meal was excellent but the collard greens were amazing. Our server was extremely helpful and fantastic.

Had no idea what to expect when we pulled up, but had the best meal we ate while visiting St. Augustine. Staff was friendly and food was excellent. Try the clam chowder, stuffed fish, hush puppies or frog legs. All were amazing!

When we come to St. Augustine, we normally eat at Salt Water Cowboys 3 times. This visit, our first trip here was so awful, we will not be back this year! I know COVID-19 has created problems/changes for restaurants in general, but it seems Salt...Water Cowboys decided to use that as an excuse to give terrible service & food. First off, the menu is so abbreviated, it doesn't even appear to be Salt Waters. No Minorcan Clam Chowder! The waitress told us, they can't get the ingredients, plus since there was no "Chowder debate" this year...It's funny that I have been able to get Minorcan Clam Chowder at 2 other restaurants so far. Guess those other restaurants are getting the ingredients. Second, no stuffed shrimp or shrimp 3 way. Really???? Can't get those ingredients either? I ordered blackened shrimp & fish. No flavor at all! Plus when I turned my shrimp skewers over, they were burnt on the other side! My tiny piece of fish also wasn't spicy & it was as hard as a rock towards the end of the piece of fish. I did get a new order of blackened shrimp which was better but still had no flavor, for being blackened. The roasted veggies of zucchini & squash came out so dark & mushy, I thought they were mushrooms. And it took over an hour to actually get our nasty food! We were one of the first half a dozen people in the door. We kept watching everyone else who got seated at the same time we did, get their food delivered. People who came in way after us, were getting their food & we sat there waiting. And no, we did not get appetizers. Overall, terrible service & horrible food! Hopefully they can get their act together & get things back on track with great food & service!More
