I head here all the time when I fancy some seafood! There are some misses when you have to wait a while for your food but the service is always fantastic. The restaurant is decorated like an old fish camp/shack. very authentic. The view from the decking over the marsh is gorgeous at sunset. They don't do reservations but the... More

By far, the neatest restaurant in St. Augustine. Took us a while to find it, but it was well worth it. It was out in the marshes all by itself. We both had fish and it was fantastic. Sorry to hear it was damaged by the hurricane, as we were planning on taking our family there next month.

Stopped by for our annual dinner at Salt Water Cowboys - 10 years. Closed still due to major damage from Hurricane Matthew. Disappointed but got to talk with an engineer who was preparing some structural plans for the renovations and he explained they will be open by July 4th weekend which is when we will be back on the Beach.... My family has been going to this restaurant forever! They have the most amazing vermouth fish bake, light and flaky onion rings featured on the Food Network, the decor is true FL Cracker House! We live in the Orlando area and I was excited to go back to St. Augustine and enjoy some Salt Water Cowboy's but I saw the... More

Stopped by several times hoping it was open, after coming by twice and it was closed I started looking. We are keeping our fingers crossed that they will re-open we've always have good experiences there over the years. With Mom & Dad living in St A Beach it was just a short drive. Last time I was here was about... More

This restaurant, located nearby or actually on the marsh, was severely damaged by Hurricane Matthew. As of Dec 6th they said on Facebook the engineering report was worse than expected. My guess is that it will need to be torn down. So for the last 4 out of 5 reviewers, I know you haven't been there since Oct 9th. It... More

Off the beaten path. Great old Florida setting in the marsh. Sat outside for a beautiful sunset. Food was as ol' Florida as you could get. Fresh seafood and fixing. Hospitality was just as good as it was 30 years ago when we first ate here. Get there early as parking can be a challenge when busy.

I was looking forward to Saltwater Cowboys and tok the time to drive there. It is falling down and closed. It does not look like this just happened. I was shocked. The tiny road going there is in bad need of repair. I see lots of ads for the place and the locals do not know it is closed. Be... More

This is a sister restaurant to Creekside Dinery. If you want a taste of Florida in a atmosphere reminiscent of the old south, then this is a must try experience. While it is true that the restaurant has some ups and downs, there are more ups. To gain the best experience, go early, order BBQ, hush puppies and/ or fresh... More

Great food, wonderful atmosphere, excellent wait staff and owners - you couldn't ask for anything better!! I've been going there for years - it's always the same - ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!
