This is in the Hilton and the breakfast we ordered was perfect. Everything was cooked exactly as ordered, the service was exceptional, prices a little high but considering the location it's appropriate (water front right next to town). I'd like to eat dinner there next time

We had the half lobster cobb salad and 45 day aged bone in ribeye with baked potato and asparagus. The bread was baked fresh and served with a cup of salted butter. My husband finished off two loaves lol. The dishes were amazing, seasoned well and the ingredients tasted fresh and crisp. The service was excellent as well. I stopped by the restroom and when exiting, the door has a hand sanitizer dispenser buikt in so you can open the door, sanitize your hands and exit. Very nice!

After a few bad experiences in St. Augustine concerning food and service, Aviles Restaurant here in the Hilton Historic Bayfront made everything miles better.
The food was absolutely delicious and unique. To start off, My wife ordered a “Blue Energy” Cocktail which consisted of Vodka, Crushed Blueberries and Housemade Lemonade. And let me just say that after tasting this cocktail, the homemade lemonade makes miles of a difference.
We were also served bread and butter, but this isnt just ANY bread and butter, the butter is housemade and garnished with pink peppercorn for a unique taste and experience. I was awe struck with the simple yet delicious taste of the butter!
For appetizers, we had the “Knife & Fork Latin Bruschetta, which consisted of Grilled Arepa, Mojo Beef Rips, Grilled Tostone, Chimichurri, Avocado and Cotilja Cheese. The Beef Tips were extremely tender and juicy, they were obviously professionally made. The avocado was fresh and ripe and by the time we finished, we wished we could order more.
Moving onward to the entrées, I decided to be boujee for the night and ordered the 40oz Prime Tomahawk Chop for $128. While the price may be a little steep, if you’re able to order this dish, I would highly recommend it. The pictures attached speak for themselves, the tomahawk was cooked to perfection with my preference of medium-rare. Its was so incredibly tender and juicy that I could see the juices flow out when I cut it. The tomahawk featured a honey-chiptole glaze that complimented the meat further. On the sides, I ordered potato fingers and asparagus which both were also cooked perfectly. The potatos were very warm and tender, and seasoned excellently.
My partner ordered the 16oz Prime NY Strip Steak which she described as being one of the best she has had. This means alot coming from her because she doesnt typically order steaks or meats from restaurants. From what I could tell, the meat was cooked to her preference and the sides were seasoned well to compliment each other.
Now were are up to deserts. I ordered a Creme Brûlée and my partner ordered a Key Lime Pie with White Chocolate. Both were extremely delicious and complimented what we ate very well.
Now onto the best part of this experience: The service. From the moment we walked in, we were treated with such a high level of decency and respect. The host seated us at a high top table and our server, I have the pleasure to say, was one of the best I have ever had. Sheraz came here all the way from France and her skills and attention to detail are unparalleled. She waited on us and made sure we had everything we could ever need. We talked about ourselves, and all of our ambitions and dreams. It was a very refreshing experience to have a server we could talk to and feel so connected with. Thank you Sheraz for making not only our visit to Aviles memorable, but our visit to St. Augustine excellent. We hope to return again soon!

Each item we ordered was missing ingredients, they were tasteless, underseasoned. How do you forget main ingredients? Our cedar key clams had 4 of the 10 empty clam shells, no broccoli rabe, no white wine, no seasoning, the Fish provencale was missing the capers, had 1 olive, and just tomato juice no herbs no seasoning, the fish with soft shell crab was to have bernaise, they forgot the bernaise. On a positive note the fish itself was properly cooked just had no seasoning. I was looking at some of the other contributors photos on this site, looks like they ate at a different restaurant. We had a meeting to attend and let the server know in advance and still it took 40 minutes for our appetizer and another 45 minutes for entree, we had no time to send food back. Expensive meal not to enjoy...won't go back...

We took our grandchildren for breakfast. Found food was ok. I mean it was breakfast. My twenty year old son who stayed home this time around was able to successfully make breakfast in his first try while we were gone. Two of us got pancakes, one got chicken and biscuits and one got oatmeal with a few sides. It cost eighty dollars plus tip. For that I would have thought they could afford more then one waitress so the hostess wouldn’t be waiting tables. Also they didn’t have toast so my wife settled for a biscuit instead. A very expensive biscuit at that! If you’re looking for a reasonably priced priced breakfast with good food, there are several other places very close and they keep bread for toast on hand. Very unimpressive for a Hilton. Perhaps they are trying to discourage poor rift raft like us from coming there. This is actually our fourth disappointing experience with a Hilton. Not sure why we keep trying and you shouldn’t either.

From our hotel room at the Hilton St. Augustine, we were rather excited to eat at the restaurant downstairs that claimed – on its own menu – to serve “the world’s best waffle.” Without a doubt, it was actually the world’s worst! Could they have been more pretentious? Could they have been more wrong? My waffle was atrocious – extra dry, with fake maple syrup, only two or three berries, and no whipped cream. So much for menu descriptions! The accompanying fruit in our breakfasts came from a jar. We had to physically leave our seats to order our cappuccinos from the pseudo-Starbucks coffee shop by the front desk. I call it “pseudo” because they didn’t accept Starbucks gift cards and figured the best way to fix the cappuccino they prepared super hot instead of “not so hot” was to add ice cubes!
On our second day, I ordered scrambled eggs, and they were more gooey than engine grease. Whoever cooked them that day must have thrown a cup of oil on the skillet beforehand. I had to skip. My stomach didn’t warrant such punishment.
The server was quite cordial, but he had too much to handle by himself. For what we got, especially the awful quality, the prices were outrageously high. Overpriced, underwhelmed.

The restaurant is located in the Hilton hotel and the food was fantastic, had both breakfast and dinner here. The breakfast was nice and had a large selection (about 8 to 10) choices for breakfast and everything was prepared perfectly, and the staff were very friendly and polite. We also had dinner here and it too was great, overall very happy with our choice and definitely would dine here again.

When we arrived they could not find my reservation. Was told to wait in back of line. They continued signing people in for the Christmas buffet as i listened i noticed they did not have correct info or reservation for alot of the people. We ended up finally getting seated at a larger table than we needed so offered to share with 2 others. The food was good but had ran out of prime rib when i was i line. A free campaign was offered. Dessert was very tasty. The price included a 25% gratuity for a buffet that cost over $75. And no more prime rib. The buffet was so cogested and very unorganized. Plates at both ends caused people to meet in middle and jam up. No structured line or way to go in a sigle direction caused traffic jams. Disappointing, the highlight was shrimp, mac and cheese was delicious and the company of the 2 strangers we shared our table with. I dont blame the servers that were trying their best to make everything as smooth as possible . The reservation system totally messed up as well as layout of the buffet. Looked good but highly unorganized lines.

THE worst experience I have had in a high restaurant. Service horrible, waited well over an hour for entree and 2 apps. Never asked if we wanted a second drink. Made constant EXCUSES as to why our food took so long and there were only 3 tables in the whole restaurant eating. Manager never came to the table to resolve any issues. Veal chop overdone. I would NEVER recommend this restaurant, not even to my worst enemy.

The service and food were excellent, the menu choices were somewhat limited, for example, no dinner or house salad and no selection of vegetables with entrees. The prices for the atmosphere were above average. They really need to re-think the layout and ambiance of this restaurant, you feel like you are sitting in the hotel lobby-which is just adjacent in a weird dark area with awkward lighting. Wouldn’t go back just because of the setting…

In the Hilton Bayfront. It is a small restaurant with a small but varied menu. The staff is wonderful. At the end of breakfast we were given bottled water and the option of to go cups for our coffee and tea. Friendly, family atmosphere.

This used to be a hidden gem for great steaks but last night was terrible. 7pm reservations so we were not there to late. Ran out of 3 different steaks that was suppose the be specials. Prime rib was 1/2 fat even though I asked for lean. No taste at all. No baked potatoes, ran out. The mashed potatoes was just a very small serving. The filet had no flavor but was very tender. So disappointed as this has been our go to for our anniversary for the last 3 years. Will not be going back!!

So, we've been living in Saint Augustine since 2014. We love to eat out and shocked that we haven't tried Aviles Restaurant at Hilton Hotel, St. Augustine. Since our tradition is to go out during Christmas Eve dinner and then attend the midnight mass, we tried Aviles for the first time this year. Wow, we are so impressed with everything that my husband and I went back for New Year's Eve dinner. The quality of the food was wonderful and the serving size was very generous. Love everything we ordered. Aviles Restaurant, St. Augustine will be added to our list of favorite restaurants.

We had breakfast there. My husband ordered an omelet. It was made from a ready-made mixture, not from real eggs. I ordered oatmeal, fruits & berries plate. Food tasted like a quick packaged oatmeal. The fruit/berries plate had only 2 blueberries. Finally, we have paid $40 (including tips).

It’s a small restaurant in the Hilton on the historic beachfront on Avenida.
We stayed there and ate shortly after we arrived.
We had a couple of appetizers and shared a filet/ lobster plate.
The apps were really delicious. I had a beef tips with empanada and avocado that was delicious and had interesting seasoning. My wife had a romaine app with other tasty ingredients that was delicious as well.
The steak/ lobster tail meal was just right and we would recommend this quiet place for dinner anytime!
