My favorite Mexican eatery in St. Augustine. Everything is fresh and tasty. Outdoor dining is available or sit on a second story porch and watch the crowd pass. Prices are reasonable and the tea is the best.

This place is adorable, but absolutely terrible if you know even a lick about central american food. I ordered the Cochinita Pibil and my dining companion ordered the Carne Asada (medium rare). What we got back was two pieces of meat that were too well done. My pork was dry and his carne asada was very chewy. The black beans,... More

We were just looking for some good Mexican food, and read that this place was good. Atmosphere was very nice, but the food, while it WAS Mexican, was really Mayan, which was not what we expected, nor really what we were looking for. In addition, while it was fairly good, it was much more expensive than we expected. Just know... More

We stumbled upon this place while walking around the historic area. We got Cuban sandwiches to go. We ate them in our room a few hours later and they were delicious. The decor looked authentic- it was neat.

Let me start off by saying I like Mexican cuisine, but I don't LOVE it...however, Casa Maya has an amazing octopus cerveche...so fresh, so tender. I decided to break with tradition and try a grouper dish with a creamy corn type sauce, mashed potatoes, and green beans...it was delicious, no complaints. My company had a traditional Mexican dish consisting of... More

Stopped here because we heard they made great mescal based drinks. It was a hot humid evening so we sat in the inside bar area. The bar tender mixologist made us a drink he had just invented and not yet named. It was very good with mescal, fruit and a bit of cayenne spice. There was live music in the... More

We decided to eat there because we were very hungry after walking around in the hot sun all day. We decided to order drinks first and ordered this drink that was similar to a Blackberry margarita and it was suppose to have basil but they were out of basil, but we ordered it anyway and it was refreshing like it... Very friendly and amiable staff. The food is mostly Mexican themed but with an American twist and some Asia dishes thrown in for good measure. Also one of the specials on the day we visited was more Italian than anything else. This always make me slightly wary but we gave it a go. Overall the dishes that our party ordered... More

Went here to eat with my boyfriend on a Tuesday evening so it was pretty slow... Not busy at all. We sat down for about 20 minutes and then decided to leave because not one person acknowledged us. If they were busy I would've understood, but they weren't. We saw 3 different waiters in a 20 minute time span and... More

My husband and I choose this place due to the close location to our bed and breakfast, along with the great reviews. And it did not disappoint. We started off the meal with the homemade guacamole and it was so yummy! I had the steak fajitas for dinner and my husband had the special for the night which was rack... More
