Don't let the menu and location fool you. The food is not worth the cost. Ordered shrimp-roll in toasted brioche. It was 7 crayfish tails in brine in a hot-dog bun. The burger is the frozen kind - dry and gray. The prizes are ridiculous!More

The venue i beautifully location by the seaside. Though the waitresses was doing a good job the food was in the other hand a catastrophe. Though they do have fresh food and great ingredients available they made food tasting like tomato paste. Even the fish...soup tasted like seawater. The food was worthy of one star, but the service draged it up a notch. If you're in Kragerø you money is probably better off somewhere else due to the high prices they charge for food you could do better at home in 30 minutes.More

In Norway we have a few seasonal restaurants in the southern part of our country. This is one of them. Most of them have the same menu and are good places for a lunch and something good in your glass. We enjoyed our stay, but...the food was mediocre, at best.More

I ordered the onkel oskar burger, it was very small and came with burned mushrooms I had to remove. the fries was ala macdonalds, and food is overprized. Avoid this place, bad service also

I went there with two friends, we were on vacation, never been to Kragerø before, chose a place by chance. We got a somewhat secluded table which was nice, not being in the busiest area. It was a lot of people there, on a warm...summer evening. The place had a decent meny, good variety of choices. I had crab-cakes as a starter. My first try ever. Those were -bah- to me. Kind of dry, a spice that overpowered all other flavours. I don't know if they are supposed to be like that or not. I chose the lobster-roll as a main. It was very good! Lobster in a brioche bread, a salad with fennel, and very salty fries on the side. It was an explosion of flavours. I recommend it. My friend was happy with her cocktail, I shared a bottle of very nice white wine with the third of our party, and we all had some very good piña coladas at the end. All in all a lovely dinner.More

The restaurant had a great location, a dining menu with multiple delicious-sounding items and a drinks menu with a pretty wide selection of beers. Unfortunately the experience did not match expectations. We were quickly seated, and the wait staff didn't take too long to come...and take our orders. We also received a bottle of lukewarm tap water. We ordered two different burgers with fries, and were able to choose between multiple different burger buns. We also ordered a side of mac'n'cheese. After this point, service was very slow. It took a long time to receive our food, and at no point did any wait staff come to check on us, neither before or after getting our food. When the food arrived, most everything was overcooked. The burgers themselves were just shy of well done, while the cheese on both the mac'n'cheese and my burger were fried to the point they tasted slightly burnt. My fries were over cooked and over salted, while my wife's fries were OK. The portobello mushroom on my burger was also very basic. I assume the only treatment it received was pan-frying for too long to a spongy texture. When we ordered, I asked about the style of a beer labeled as being from Belgium and was told it was a Belgian white, so I assumed I would get a witbier from Belgium and ordered it. It came before the food, served with an orange slice and without the bottle. It was however not from Belgium, but rather an American witbier NAMED Belgian White, while the menu had apparently listed it using the brewery name. It was yeasty and bland, but that's not the fault of the restaurant. To summarize, service was good at the start but slow beyond that, and the food was edible but not good. The menu, at least for the beer section, was unorganised and misleading.More
