Such a fabulous Jamaican restaurant in a strip mall! This was our first time in the area, and decided to try something new. Small sizes are extremely large!!!! Best meal outside of being in Jamaica itself!

Really good! I visited this past Saturday for the first time. I'd been in the mood for oxtail, but my usual place to get it from is not near my home. I needed something in the area. I immediately remembered Lisa M.'s review of the...day and the pictures looked amazing. So, I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did. First of all, this restaurant has a good protocol in place for COVID-19. The sign on the door tells you to wear a face mask to prevent the spread. The patrons all comply. The employees were wearing masks and gloves. They have tape markings on the floor that are exactly 6 feet apart. I felt super safe placing my order and waiting inside for my takeout bag. All the food comes out straight from the kitchen. The young ladies at the counter are super friendly and helpful. The food was very good. I must admit like others that the price of the oxtail was a little surprising. My usual place doesn't charge as much. At the same time, the portion was good and the flavors were there. I love that the sweet plantains come with the meal as well as your choice of 2 sides. I was also excited that that they have Ting as a beverage option. I'd heard about this drink from a couple of my Jamaican friends. I didn't know that they had other flavors. I tried the Pink Ting which is a light pink grapefruit soda. It was so refreshing, and not as sweet as other sodas. I'd get it again. I'm looking forward to trying their whole red snapper. They make it 4 or 5 different ways. The escovitch preparation sounded really good to me. They'll steam it, fry it, serve it with brown sauce, and prepare it in other ways. It's so great that this restaurant is near by. Now I don't have to drive far for good Jamaican food.More

A taste of the island’s! What can I say that hasn’t been said already - this is the only place to go for REAL Jamaican food. Nowhere can come close. The Oxtail is out of this world! Shrimp, goat and freshly baked beef patties are...things that I wake up every day thinking about. The service is phenomenal also. You will leave like you are part of the family. Check it out ASAP !!!More

This little gem was a wonderful surprise. It is a small restaurant in a strip mall. I had the jerk chicken wings which were wonderfully seasoned. My husband enjoyed a dinner of stew beef with rice and peas and vegetables. Unfortunately, no plantains were available...that day. Everything was delicious. We were pleased to find freshly made sorrel juice which was blended with ginger. The menu is nicely varied with several selections each of jerk, curry and stewed meat. The drink selection even included Dragon Stout which thrilled my husband since he lived in Jamaica for several years and rarely sees that beer. He claims it was the most authentic Jamaican food he has tasted in a long time. The restaurant is clean and brightly decorated. We highly recommend it.More

The restaurant is a good restaurant for the area. I was down from Alaska visiting some friends and wanted some food from home. The establishment is clean and has a lot of foods to offer for meat eaters and Ital eaters as well. The prices...were fair and the food portion size was good as well. The bathroom was clean clean, and the seating area seemed spotless. It was the end of the day and I am sure they get a lot of business so that says a lot. There were a bunch of us and kids. The food came quickly and the order was taken accurately. I am very impressed and would recommend to anyone who is interested.More

My family and I tried the oxtails, the curry goat, and curry chicken and the jerk wings. You can't go wrong with either reasonably priced item as they all were delicious!

Stumbled upon this place driving by to the theater. We are crazy about Jamaica and just had to stop. Turns out that it had only been open for a few weeks. Spotlessly clean and painted in the familiar green and yellow, it was a pleasure...to sit in their dining area. Our server, Janette, was so pleasant and I think she was getting a kick out of how delighted we were to find a Jamaican restaurant. The food did not disappoint. Had great jerk chicken with their own sauce, peas and rice, and a cabbage side that was amazingly delicious. Accompanied by a Red Stripe, this was definitely like being back on the island. There were lots of other selections on the menu, including a really rummy bread pudding that was excellent. Fantastic value for real Jamaican fare and some tasty desserts. Lots of folks were coming in for take out while we were there. This place deserves great success. Looking forward to our next visit to Florida to visit Flavaz again.More
