Worst restaurant experience ever. Party of 12. Reservation made and confirmed ahead. No reservation on record upon arrival. Restaurant served 3 of an item to one in our party who ordered 2. The server came within a few minutes and requested to take 1 so...they could serve it to another customer. And, she would be charged for 3, even though she ordered only 2. Mgr was requested. She did nothing but stare at the 1 who had been asked to give back the item, and then walked away. I was charged for a premium alcohol when it was not ordered. When I indicated I did not want to pay for a premium, I was told if I didn’t, the cops would be called. Food was mediocre. Needless to say, don’t recommend.More

Honestly, went to the restaurant next-door and it was crowded and this restaurant had outside seating available. Server is one of the daughters of the owners and absolutely delightful. Tablets for menus, easy to navigate. Prices were very reasonable. My girlfriend is a Marg connoisseur...and she was impressed. Had a chili rellano which wasn’t traditional to me. Usually it has an egg batter, but the flavor was spot on. Had a hard shell chicken taco, and it was lovely. The only reason I didn’t give 10 stars is the chicken was a little salty for my taste. Guacamole that came with the meal was delicious. I had a chill Riano, chicken taco, beans and margarita for $20. Highly recommend this family owned restaurant in the heart of Punta Gorda.More

Love the staff and the food is great tasting and reasonably priced. They have a good selection of south of the border eats.

We love this place and go there all the time. Now they have gotten rid of paper menus and require you to use a tablet. My eyesight does not allow for this and when I asked for accommodation for ADA was told no paper is...available. This could mean we will no longer eat there. They are loosing loyal customers.More

The food here was good enough, but it was not spectacular. The salsa served with the chips is pretty bland, although we did get some "hot" on the side and mixed it in which made it substantially better. The house margarita was also just okay....It was kind of watery and didn't pack much of a punch, but the flavor was okay. This is tex-mex type of mexican food and it is okay. Nothing we had was below average. The service was good. It appears to be a family run local establishment which is great. I'll go back just for that reason and just stick to basic tacos or something.More

Decades ago I would partake in La Esperanza for Mexican when it was in its original location - walking distance from where I&A is now. I followed La Esperanza to mid-town when they opened that one. Then I followed it to the old Shell's location....Then when they closed and the related El Jalisco opened I went there. Then that closed. The family always made amazing food but they kept moving and changing the restaurants. I don't know why. Now I go here. They are every bit as good as La Esperanza was in its prime, maybe better, definitely more consistent. Everyone I used to go to 'esper with likes I&A and I've recruited new fans that come here from out of town. I hope this place stays put. I love it. We love it.More

We wandered in early afternoon. One of the few places in town that was open; it seems most places close after lunch or open after 4. It was such a refreshing atmosphere on a hot day. We had excellent service from Anastasia. The electronic menus...were fun to use. They were very generous with chips and dip, which tasted better than the average. Our food came quickly and was piping hot!More

Ordered the create your own combo. Order chile relleno (the waitress didn't even say relleno correctly, knew we were in trouble). The chile relleno was just a green chile, no breading around the chile and there was no filling inside the chile. They had no...black beans. the refried beans appeared to be just dumped from a can with a tiny bit of cheese placed on top of them. Also ordered the quesadilla and my spouse ordered the burrito and quesadilla. They were all so BLAND!! Do not eat here if you want tasty Mexican food.More

Not crowded for a Saturday night. Right away the waiter bought us chips and pico de Gallo. Ordered some queso as well. In addition, we ordered a Arne asada quesadilla. We had the chimichanga, with pork and fried. All dishes seemed to have lettuce, sour...cream.More

Ate lunch here. Top shelf margaritas were good. Had a basic taco/enchilada combo. The chicken taco was very good the chicken enchilada was average and a bit dry. My partner had a chili relleno and chicken taco. He too liked the taco but thought the...relleno wasn't great. We would eat here again, but order the tacos. Service was very good.More
