My wife and I went and it started off with being ignored while waiting for a table. Several employees walked by us without even acknowledging our presence. Finally I asked a gal that appeared to be the hostess if we could get a seat. She It never got much better. The food was ok at best. The batter for the... More

Like to visit here for lunch when in the area. I always choose crab salad croissant which I recommend. Husband varies his choice but always happy with what he gets. Ordered a glass of Chardonnay which was mediocre but didn't spoil enjoyment of food. Worth a visit.

Seating indoors or out nearer the Peace River. Excellent "New England Sea Food" Cod, soft shell clams, etc. as well as local sea food. Born and breed in New England it was as good as the food in MA,RI and ME.

We took our dogs with us to Fishermen's Village as Punta Gorda is a dog friendly city. At the other restaurant on the end of the Village they allow dogs... and before The Village Fish Market underwent the deck renovations my husband and I used to stop after our daily walk with the dogs and have a Black and Tan... Thank you for writing, and I am sorry you did not have a good experience, I am stunned by your comments, yes the owners are English but they are not new. We have been there for over 13 years. I was the one who implemented the dog friendly seating and I have to go through hours of paperwork annually to... More

Went for lunch last week with my mother-in-law while visiting her in PG. While waiting for food, the hostess sat two young ladies at table next to us who asked if they could smoke and were told "No" by the hostess. As luck would have it, our server Sabrina, was friends with these ladies and told them they could smoke... More

Went to lunch with some friends visiting. We have been going there regularly for several years. I ordered my usual grouper sandwich. over time the sandwich has become more bread, less fish, no tomato, one side instead of cole slaw and two sides. You get the picture. My wife ordered a crabcake which has become more cake and less crab.... More

We have dined at the Village Fish Market many times. The food is fresh and consistent although a bit expensive. The Clam Chowder soup is excellent as is their fish sandwich. One person in our party had the shrimp scampi and he said it was terrific. Of all things the Philly Cheesesteak was excellent as well. The reason why I... More

I have been coming to Punta Gorda since 2012. This is my go to restaurant for seafood. Everytime I visit I have to eat here. The whole belly fried clams are delicious. Every meal I've had has been great. The employees are friendly and very attentive. If you like seafood I would suggest to try this restaurant and i think... More
