We had dinner there last week and the service and food were excellent. Our server, Shannon did a great job for us. After a short wait we were seated at a nice table on the porch. My wife had the gumbo and I had the...clam chowder. Both were excellent. We split the special, crawfish and shrimp also excellent. We will go back. Thanks Shannon!More

We have been going to this restaurant for years. We made the 1 hr drive yesterday to enjoy steamed crabs. This is our first time since last year. What a disappointment. They seem more interested in selling cannabis products now than serving food. The entire...staff seemed inexperienced. We waited for 2 hours to be seated. The young woman at the desk asked me 4 times what my name was while I waited. A guy on a golf cart was the server by the pond. He would ask what we needed & then promptly forgot it. We are Marylanders & asked for extra spice to be put on, no spice was added. 4 of the crabs were mushy indicating they were sitting in water. At $70/ dozen this was a rip off. The best thing was while we were waiting in the front area a RAT walked into the kitchen area as if he knew how to get around. Disgusting experience. So sorry to see the changes. Don’t waste your time or money.More

This place is a gem! Small place but huge value. We sat by the ‘lake’ (picnic tables by a pond) and it was amazing. Waitress was super friendly and helpful. If you like fresh fish, seafood, salad, ceviche, crab this is the place!!!

We had a great experience here a few years ago and were excited about being there again this year. However, much has changed and the menu is very disappointing. Not at all as pictured on TripAdvisor.

Three of us enjoyed our visit. I had the trigger fish sandwich which was a very generous portion. Very tasty as well. Disappointed that there were no fries available as their fryer was wiped out in the hurricane. Apparently the insurance company is busting their...chops so no fryer replacement. NE clam chowder was quite thin. Potato salad was so-so. Service was good as always. Generally while they were an A+, I’d now rate them A-.More

Have had numerous people tell us how great this restaurant was. Took my son in law there and was disappointed with quality of the food and high prices.

No frills, but really good seafood! Menu was a bit limited for me, but when server told me about the fish of the day grilled, blackened or fried, I was hooked! The white fish was cooked to perfection and I chose slaw for my side....Hub had blue crabs (their specialty) with fries. We enjoyed our meal and a few cocktails on the porch. Staff was laid back and friendly!More

What a great Gem of a Place!. Friendly staff everywhere. We always get the steamed crabs(Being from Baltimore) and they have always been delicious. Very fair pricing, cold beer. Hello!

After reading some negative comments about this old favorite, we decided to risk it and stop for lunch anyway. Glad we did. The soup of the day was queen crab chowder (great) and the 1/2 pound peel and eat shrimp was delicious as was the...key lime pie. My husband’s catch of the day tilefish sandwich was also really good. It may be that the menu is more limited than it used to be as FL is still recovering from the hurricane, but what they do they do well. Another plus, this rustic restaurant is quite close to PG Airport and I-79. Also, we Were able to pay by credit card.More

I’m hoping the new menu is because of the hurricane. We always bring company,it had great seafood items. I’m wishing them the best and that in time things will be back to normal.

Found the restaurant while driving from Ft Myers to Sarasota. Only restaurant I’ve ever seen that sells their own botanicals along with food. Had excellent trigger fish and blue crabs. Well worth checking out!

Now Peace River Botanicals? A very limited menu with $69.95 for a dozen of Blue craps which may be delicious I don’t know, but the tuna poke was nothing but salt! So salty you couldn’t even taste the tuna came with salty tortillas chips $16.95....Unfortunately it was the only thing I could order since I don’t like crap or shrimp. Hubby got shrimp and he said it was delicious. Overall will not be back. Too bad the old Peace River Seafood was excellent! PS - it is cash only! If you like craps it may still be worthwhile otherwise don’t bother! BummedMore

Worst meal ever blacken fish was soggy and came with a boiled potato, like it had been poached not seared. Seafoods platter was dry and rubbery. I retrieved mine for a refund and my wife was only able stomach half of hers. Would never recommend...or return… oh and the owner bitched me out on social media for sharing my experience…More

Visited this place a few years ago. At the time it was ok, but nothing special. This time we had som friends that wanted to go and we thought, let’s go back and see if any improvements. The ceviche was absolutely taste less. The Poke...bowl was and insult to Asian cuisine. They we’re still using plastic forks and knives like a fast food place. The waitress was great, but the food was horrible. We’re wondering why people still eat there. They have the ingredients, but maybe it’s time to hire a real cook with some experience. I spent 18 years as a chef in Europe and the US, and would be embarrassed if I was the one serving this kind of food.More

Don’t waste your money or time here. Truly disappointed with my experience. I never leave reviews but something needs to be done here. I think my food was spoiled by the taste of it. The potatoes and corn are unseasoned. The fish sticks in the...freezer section at Walmart are better then this place. COMPLETELY infested in flies. I’ve never seen so many flies in my life. They keep the trash cans right next to the tables with no covers so flies and bugs are just taking over the outdoor dining section. There’s no control of management here. I even asked for the manager and was ignored. One of the servers rolled her eyes every time we asked her something. I will not be returning and i HIGHLY suggest you don’t go here.More

Not sure, you can eat outside but I don't recommend this place, seriously don't. Long John silvers has better sea food and that's not saying much. Sorry
