We drove here from camping in Wachula especially to get crabs. We were not disappointed. As misplaced Southern Marylanders it was a special treat and crabs were delicious, only one light one. Great weather to sit outdoors with friends and have crabs. Lots of fish...fish options available too. Wish we lived closer.More

Crab cakes should be called filler cakes with some crab. They have no idea how to make a crab cake and way over priced. The shrimp had been cooked for a while and should have been thrown out. First and LAST time going here. I...recommend Long John Silvers it will surely taste better and you'll save a bunch of money.More

The freshest seafood you will ever get from the gulf! (Local fishers eat here) No prices in the menu - it’s all market and changes every day.

This restaurant is very good. I gave it 4 stars only because you have a choice between eating outside or inside, however they leave the door open between the two, so the inside is full of flies and hot. In defense of the wait staff...they should have a swinging door so they move back and forth freely with their hands full and not have to leave the outside door open. The food is very good though. I ordered the gulf shrimp and they were excellent. Our guest ordered the fried seafood which was lightly battered and excellent. Our other guest ordered the blue claw crab all you can eat special and loved it. So for now while it’s still hot out if you can tolerate the heat inside the restaurant, give it a try. Very good food!More

If you are ever in the Punta Gorda, Florida area by all means stop by the Peace River Seafood Restaurant for some great food. We were all hungry and tired after a long day at the beach and this place fit the bill with it's...comfortable atmosphere. Our party of 10 (including 4 kids) were seated outside on the porch near the koi pond which was perfect for us. Their menu includes a variety of fish, however, we opted for the "triple crown" which includes lobster bites, steamed shrimp, and crab cakes. The serving was large enough for 2 to share and included boiled corn and potatoes. It was delicious. The staff was so nice, they even gave the kids food for the fish in the koi pond. If I am ever in the area again I will definitely go back.More

Food is average; nothing special. Hyperactive waitresses seem to be compensating for their slow and probably too-small kitchen. We and the tables around us waited more than one hour to get our food after placing orders. Also, they should upgrade this place both inside and...outside. I understand the Old Florida vibe they're going for, but this place is downright shabby and it has only one very old bathroom for everyone. Not going back.More

I drive an hour plus about every 2 or 3 months for the past 6 years to have my favorite...6 large steamed blue crabs. I tell them to hold the potatoes and corn; I just want the crabs. I usually ask for light on the...Old Bay cuz at 72, I should have less salt. I have never been disappointed. I eat on the porch at a picnic table. This is not a white table cloth and china plate restaurant. You can find those, so don't rate this great eatery as a disappointment to you because it wasn't. This is like a New England clam shack restaurant...with the best food and servers.More

I had the all; you can eat blue crabs and they were fabulous. Not the biggest crabs I have had but very good and they brought a ton in the first batch so I had half to take home with me after. The hamburger my...friend had was delicious as well. Will definitely be back.More

We spent the weekend in Punta Gorda and went for a late lunch on Saturday. I was craving boiled crabs and got my craving satisfied! I’d give this place 5 stars except for two things: apparently my crab order went in just as the last...boiled/steamed batch went out and I had to wait almost an hour for mine to be prepared, and the flies were awful. The waitress was most apologetic about both issues and explained that next time we needed to sit at a table under a ceiling fan!🤣 Being from Louisiana, the crabs weren’t spicy enough, but still the best I’ve had outside south Louisiana.More

Peace River Seafood offers local Florida seafood. Not too far away, Mainely Seafood offers lobsters. In Cape Coral The Lobster Lady has lobsters.
