Went to Skully’s tonight and had the 5lb boil and a pound of shrimp with my family. It is a laid back beach shrimp boil with a cooler full of free beers and sodas. If great fresh shrimp and free Keystone and Natty Lite is not what you want keep driving, take a hard left after passing the restaurant and head into the Gulf of Mexico, and question all your life decisions. The purveyor of said establishment played some guitar in-between guests (and played it well) and no reservations are required for the picnic tables (as said purveyor informed an inquiring customer via a telephone call). Think the Dude from the Big Lebowski owns a beachside low country boil that should have 3 Michelin stars. The food was delicious and I can’t oversell the true awesomeness of the people and vibe. This location is the 8th wonder of the world and if you come to Cape San Blas and don’t go to Skully’s, you simply did it wrong and I feel sorry for you. Will be back to try the gumbo which was already sold out, because I assume it also will be a life changing experience that will confirm the existence of God. 6 out of 5 stars. I shall never again review another restaurant in fairness to them after having been to Skully’s.

We stopped here our first night in the Port St Joe/Cape San Blas area since they are only open a few nights a week. We had a few free beers/sodas while we waited for our food. We got two orders of gumbo, which was soooo good, filled with big pieces of shrimp and was so creamy and delicious. Also got the 10 pound bucket of shrimp boil - a huge bucket filled with fresh shrimp, potatoes, corn and sausage. Just an amazing meal. We took it back to our condo and ate it while having a fire on the beach. Couldn't have asked for a better night! Hope we can visit again someday.

Amazing! Kind of hidden down on the side of the road. You order at the window and he tells you to help yourself to a free drink in the cooler! Family of 4 and still couldn’t finish it all. We had 5 pounds of boil, 2 pounds of crab legs and 2 gumbos. I am not a gumbo fan but his is a white base and to die for! Not sure anything else will ever compare. The crab was spot on and the boil fantastic. Lots of places go heavy on the potatoes so they can go light on the shrimp. Not the case! We spent $100. One of cheaper meals and by far the best of the trip!

One of the best meals we have had on our family beach trip! Got it to go and it was easy to transport to beach house. Four adults ate 10 pound bucket with plenty for everyone! Shrimp are large and everything seasoned just right. Not too spicy, as we don’t like really spicy foods. Would highly recommend!!

All 4 of our meals were not good at all. The coconut shrimp had no coconut flavor at all. The shrimp was rubber. Crab legs were skinniest meatless I’ve ever experienced. Even the pretzel with what they claim is beer cheese tasted like old cheese wiz warmed up. Picking anywhere else has just got to be better.

We decided to give Skully’s a try for a authentic low country boil. Don’t be scared by outward appearance, it’s not much. And there is no where to get out of rain or elements. But he does a tasty boil of good size shrimp, sausage, corn and potato. You buy it by the bucket, small or large. We fed 4 for a light meal on a small. Nicely spiced and done right. He offers free beverage which includes beer out of the cooler while you wait. Only complaint is you can expect bugs, we had biting flys which were annoying at the picnic tables. However he does have free bug spray, but they were very determined.

Awesome place. The portions are generous, the shrimp used in the low country boil are huge. Not to mention delishious! They do sell out quick some days. Credit cards are not accepted so bring cash. Atmosphere is great, very laid back and beachy vibe. Owner very has true southern hospitality.

Place is fantastic. You must also try the Gumbo! Low country boil (Shrimp, Sausage, Potato, Corn) large portion, perfectly prepared. Met some great folks, super relaxing. Have a cooler of free beer, water, soda while you are waiting! Highly recommend.

Skully’s definitely rates a 5. The menu is simple (you have two choices) gumbo and low country boil and the food is delicious. The drinks are free. You help yourself to sodas and beer. There is only outside seating available. We had the low country boil and the plate is ample enough for two. They ran out of gumbo.

Les Paul was great to visit with as our food was cooking. Gumbo was not the usual New Orleans gumbo but delicious flavor nonetheless. Shrimp were really tasty and the fresh corn was delicious, good potatoes too. Bring cash bc no cards. Fyi, you can call ahead and they will ha e it ready for you.

Great people - AMAZING food! We were welcomed and treated like family!!! They had a very laid back vibe, and we were offered free beer, Jell-O shots, and tequila shots. Staff and owner were totally genuine and friendly. Shrimp boil was one of the best I’ve had. I wish I could give them 6 stars, haha!

A true gem of the forgotten Florida. It looks like the restaurants that I visited as a kid in Florida. The low country boil was fabulous! Everything was tender and not overcooked to mush like some places. No indoor seating but the food, atmosphere, and Ms Pat make up for it. Get there early because they sell out of some things. 4:30-9PM Wednesday thru Saturday.

Its a small place you will miss if you are driving faster than 30 miles an hour down Cape San Blas Road. So make sure you look for the Gumbo sign on the right.... There is no inside seating, picnic tables outside so mostly people get it to go. We did. Cash only. But all that being said, it was the best meal we had while on vacation. The low country boil and the gumbo. OMG. So good. Wish we had brought some home to Tennessee...... Worth getting more than once.

The gumbo here is the real deal!! The best I have ever had. The low country boil is delicious too. Paul the owner is a great guy who can pick a mean guitar. This is a great laid back place with delicious food! Order the food and the drinks, including beer, come free with it. You don’t want to miss this one of a kind experience.
