My go to stop anytime I have to travel that way. The food is always fresh and delicious and the cinnamon rolls are so yummy. I highly recommend trying them out for breakfast or lunch or just a snack. Great prices and great food.

Daytona area’s best! We stumbled onto this little gem after suffering through 6 days of mediocre food in Daytona Beach on vacation. Admittedly, we are foodie so our standards are high. This French themed cafe won our first class approval. We loved all the homemade...dishes, took soup and bakery home. If you’re tired of chains and greasy spoons, this is quality at a very good price.More
First it's a small place that makes really great food, second the desserts are fantastic. Truly personal service that is friendly and accurate. You will feel cared about. If you desire a modification to their posted items, they will accommodate. Go try this place out
The food here is always spectacular. Fresh home made breads and pastries just like Europe. Their weekly specials are to die for and they know how to make a REAL cup of coffee.
This darling little hidden Hungarian treasure is NOT your typical shopping center bakery/restaurant! MmmMmmmMmmmmm. “Your Cinnamon Rolls set a new bar for me by which I will measure ALL cinnamon rolls henceforth!” I told the owner (who is Hungarian!). I’m in love! The taste is...not overly sweet and I detect a generous quantity and select quality of cinnamon in between the rolled layers. Most notably, the texture and crunch. Unlike cinnamon rolls in other local bakeries, the dough is flaky, and done all the way through! And the outsides of the roll have a delicate crunch! And the lattes—oh my! It takes me back to the lido deck of my Alaskan cruise ship! Oh my! Get there early or you may miss out on some of the bakery! There is nothing that we have found on the menu that is not exquisite in taste, quantity or presentation! Herbert’s is exceptionally clean and cute as can be. There are not many seats so not quite the place for a large group.More
If you have not been to Herbert's Bakery & Bistro in Port Orange you need to go. When you enter this quaint establishment you are greeted with soft subtle music, delectable smells and friendly staff ... Not to mention the eye candy in the pastry...case. We ordered breakfast. I had the Monte Cristo Stuffed French Toast and my companion had scrambled eggs, bacon and bread. The companions meal was beautifully presented with a side of arugula and balsamic reduction finishing off the plate. The eggs were good ... The bacon and bread with soft butter was amazing. Thick flavorful chewy bacon. Soft fresh aromatic bread with a wonderful crust. Although the greens were ignored by my companion, I ate them. I am not sure what she does with the balsamic reduction ... But OMG! They should bottle this stuff. I almost picked up a cinnamon or other spice to the taste. Belisimo! The Monte Cristo was amazing. I had the turkey version. All of the items merged together into a very flavorful combination that I savored with every bite. When I return, I may ask to swap the chips (which I do not eat) with the arugula and have the balsamic reduction drizzled over the whole meal. We also tried a chocolate eclair and a poppy seed crescent cookie. Both were good but the eclair stole the show. We brought back with us a bacon braid (think puff pastry lined with bacon and braided) and a Coconut Lime Cheesecake (slice). After all it is a bakery. You just gotta indulge every now and then.More
Excellent authentic Hungarian bakery. Wonderful baked goods. Had breads and apple turnover--yummy! Lentil soup was better than mine and I make a killer lentil soup. Can't recommend them highly enough.
What a gem! I stopped here on my way home last week with my wife and toddler son. Great Hungarian bakery and bistro. Food was excellent. Service was top notch. Our waitress, Barbara was a pleasure to meet. She is a beautiful Hungarian girl. The...coffee was very good too. They use top notch ingredients. I will go back as soon as I can. You won't be disappointed!More
We were there for breakfast. I ordered the sweet croissant. It was amazing. We also got cheesecake to go. The best I ever had.
From breakfast to lunch to yummy bakery treats there is always something delicious to try. Small location in a strip mall may get overlooked. Check them out!
