So sad to find that Famous Philly was closed due to severe hurricane Matthew storm damage. It looks like they lost their roof. I spoke to the owner and he wasn't sure if/when they'd reopen. He said their other location in New Smyrna Beach was open, thankfully.

Great family run pub with loads of sports on tv! Even if you don't eat beef they do a great veggie cheesesteak and their homemade tuna sub is also a must. Friendly staff, can't do enough for you. Really cold beer and have some craft brews too!

My wife and I always stop at Famous Philly's whenever we are in the area. They have a great weekday special featuring a 7" sub, chips, pickle, and a drink. You can substitute fries for an extra buck. It takes a few minutes to get your food, but I never complain about waiting when my food is prepared fresh-to-order. We... More

When first pulling into the parking lot and walk in you will definitely question if you have made a disastrous decision.... Well my friend you have made a wise decision. Besides some of the staff sitting out front smoking while we pulled up and several cats in the back alley, the food made up for all of that. We had... More

The food and service have been very good. Excellent Philly Steaks. Don't be afraid to try it because of the street view, it is clean and nice inside.........but it is a dive!

The sandwiches are a feast. The Krab fries we love. However.....the air either was not working or hmmmm. It was so hot we would not go back again so maybe a carryout would be a good choice. The 7 inch is plenty for one if you share an order of the fries. You better be hungry to get around a... More

We read about this place in one of the dining guides you see in the hotels along the beach. My wife and I are big Philly Cheesesteak fans so we googled their menu etc. and of course, checked Tripadvisor. So deciding it was worth the drive from Ormond Beach to Port Orange we set out. We were the first to... More
