We found this restaurant on Trip Advisor and read the reviews and decided to go, but unfortunately it was not worth all of the hype.
The drinks were good and the signs around the bar were hilarious, one said something like "if you cannot control your kids, please pay your bill and leave" which was so funny. The seating area was very nice, right on the inlet/river area underneath tiki umbrellas. Unfortunately when we were there it POURED rain, but it was okay, we just moved under the cover!
We ordered appetizers and entrees before the rain started, but once the rain started/ended and we were sitting for a while, we noticed our entrees were brought to the table. We asked about our appetizers, and they were like "oh well, do you want them after?" and we decided to eat backwards.
Our entrees were sub-par and when the appetizers came, it seemed like they were made before our entrees, but sat on the counter and were quickly reheated and brought out to us.
My brother and I had the gumbo, it was good, but very heavy, so if you order this don't eat anything big before you go/appetizers/lots of drinks, or you will be super full. My mom had the grouper and said it was "ok" and my dad had the shrimp dinner which he liked. For appetizers we had the buffalo chicken dip (cold when it came out), the fried mac & cheese bites (good, but heavy), and my dad had the mussels and said they were ice cold when they should have been steamed and warm.
It was quite expensive and I do not think the food was worth the prices they were charging. I'm not trying to sound pessimistic, I'm just trying to sound realistic so other people reading this review get something that is true/straight-up, not something sugar coated.

It definitely sounds like it was not a night that we lived up to our normal service standards that we strive for. On my last visit here, I had one of their award winning burgers. A friend was in town, and he loves a great burger, so invited him here!
On my last visit, I noticed an AMAZING looking fish sandwich, and decided to try that this time. I decided upon the fried Cod sandwich. Although it did not appear to be as big as the one I saw last time, it was plenty to eat! The sandwich was served hot, and I once again decided to stick with the standard house chips, rather than upgrade to the fries. Mind you both are very good!
We started with an appetizer that intrigued me, boneless chicken wings with a Key Lime Jerk flavor. I have never seen wings offered this way before. The wings had just the right amount of lime flavor which went well with the jerk rub.
All in all, yet another great visit. Sadly on both visits, the tide was going out so we didn't see any dolphins in the river. As pictured, there was a visit by a Herron to the "Man Eating Tree!" I'm happy to say the tree didn't eat it! In addition, there was not an issue with honey bees as there was on my last visit.

This was our first time in this restaurant. We liked what we saw in the menu and decided to give it a try. The breeze was so wonderful and nice! It doesn’t matter that they don’t have A/C thanks to the natural breeze and the fans. There are various places to sit. The different sections are sure to please everyone. One section with the singer is smoking (or at least they allowed it). Once I realized this, I asked the hostess if there was a non smoking area and she took us there. “Hop along” Cassidy was our server and she was extremely friendly, helpful and attentive! DH our cousin and I ordered 2 appetizers: Calamari and the “Prime and blue Crostini”. The Calamari were amazingly delicious!!! I wanted to order a second plate!!! The Prime and blue Crostini’s were great.
I ordered grilled shrimp with sweet potato tots and fries. The shrimp were well cooked and tasty. DH ordered the “Land and Sea Dinner” which had a Key Lime Jerk Pork Ribeye, a grilled crab cake, and 2 sides. He chose White Cheddar Mac and cheese and corn and black bean blend. He loved it! The Pork Ribeye was flavorful and juicy, the crab cake was fantastic and the Mac n Cheese was out of this world! Our cousin had the Fish dinner (grouper), cole slaw and French fries. He was very happy with his meal. All our food was delicious and the batter was awesome!
Cassidy checked with us and made sure we weren’t wanting anything! We will definitely be asking for her again! We found ourselves a new place to eat, enjoy the ambiance and relax!

Last night i took visiting family to Hidden Treasure for dinner and was so incredibly disappointed. First, they were out of their “famous boil in foil “ which was the whole reason. We had the conch fritters and gator tail for appetizers. The conch fritters were inedible, mostly breading with no seasoning with no conch to be found (and had a weird after taste), the gator was overcooked and tasted a little freezer burnt. For dinner we had a bit of everything from chicken fingers to peel and eat shrimp, fried shrimp crab legs, Mac and cheese for the kids, etc. At the end of the meal, we all agreed the best thing we had eaten were the fries. Add to that the poor service ( the server waited to take our dinner order until we had received our appetizer 45 mins from the time we sat down) and we will never be back again. If you want a view and a cocktail, this may be a good place to go, but save your appetite for someplace else!

Went last week, Thursday to what HAD been 1 of our top favorite dependable spots to enjoy. Tried to b tolerant of wait times staffing and Covid restrictions affecting our experiences. But 5 days later I feel compelled to inform this encounter.
Arr.@630pm wasn't busy but soon started filling up. Slower than normal service for drink orders but 2020 is enough reason for patience. Server seemed to have a lot of 6 party tables in our area.
Food came and a 2nd drink ordered which never came till meal was more than 3/4 consumed. Would have liked to have conversation w/ server as "shrimp and grits came with no visible grits" much later explained it was a "grits cake"
Menu never described this and picture does NOT show this, BTW.
Here's where it went south.
Check dropped off (had given cc to server to swipe when 2nd bev. Delivered so we didnt have to wait any longer)
Upon glancing at total to decide til, noticed that bill was NOT ours!
Stayed seated hoping serving might swing by to inquire..night such luck. I go to serving station to adm 4 our server to help get our corrrect check.
Very matter of fact, the 2 servers in area said yeah the other table paid urs and had no problem so u pay theirs and " see how we took $3 off to balance difference?"
Seriously how would I know what my checks total was?
Thetre was no offer to show me my correct bill. I had to ask several times. No explanation on how they came up with this solution and No apology for the mix up.
I went back to table filled out tip portion (gave 18%) on a bill that wasn't mine🤔)
On walking out decided to ask mgr if this was way this eerie is usually handled. She said yes. I asked her, even without informing customer and offering apology. She said I'm offering u both that NOW.
Gee we were nearly @the hostess stand.
I asked better communication by both server and mgmt would have gone a long way to service recovery?? Dont u think?
She said yes but offered not even a follow up apology for our understanding of this practice.
Too bad, a little extra effort might have saved our loyalty.
Not coming back and telling all about our cc mix up exp.
We have also alerted CHASE about this practice and they r investigating it, too.
Not ever a good time to mix up credit cards!

We had been looking forward to eating here since we have done so in the past and were so happy the last time with the quick service, great food, and wait staff. We got here and it was a short wait. We got to our table and ordered drinks, appetizer, and our meals all at once. The appetizer arrived before the drinks and water did about 20 minutes later. We got that it was busy, but since when does an appetizer arrive before drinks?? It would be over an hour and several times asking our waitstaff where our food was?? We were told the kitchen was backed up and sorry for that. We asked for the manager who came over and when we told her we've been waiting over an hour and a half, she apologized, asked what she could do and never came back. The wait staff said manager comped part of our meal. When we finally got our food, it was warm and clearly sat there awhile before being brought out. Still missing part of our meal!! (I worked in a fast pace oceanfront restaurant) The waitstaff admitted to not bringing water over right away. When other patrons pulled us aside and expressed their sympathies over our long wait, it definitely was a long one! We were eating here specifically because my family member who recently passed away loved eating here. Sorry, but we will not be back any time soon. Just so very disappointed in the poor service given!!

My hubby took me on a date to Hidden Treasure Tiki Bar this weekend and Johnny the “good looking long haired “ waiter served my favorite dish in my very particular way helping to cap our excellent visit. We loved the ambiance, the view, and the service. Johnny even offered me a new drink to try. He was a great waiter almost up to a butler standard. Next time we are in town we’ll definitely be back.

My wife and I stopped in for an early dinner and being new to the area the waitress Jessica P. was extremely helpful explaining the menu and many options available.
The seared Ahi Tuna appetizer is a must!! Sweet potato tots with cinnamon butter was a perfect paring. Fish Rachel & Crabcake sandwich were perfect.
Can't wait until our next experience!!

We enjoyed outstanding service and a great meal at the Hidden Treasure Tiki Bar, on Rose Bay! Our appetizers of coconut shrimp and calamari were lightly battered and fried and were delicious. Our main courses were also fresh and delicious. Our server was extremely attentive and was polite, friendly, provided fast service and always available for drink orders. We couldn't ask for better service. We recommend this place!

Date night with my wife, great food and the waiter was awesome. Johnny was his name and service was his game. Did a great job. Wife asked for oysters to be cooked a specific way. He noticed before they came out it was not done right he sent it bad and got it fixed. Thank you Johnny.

We had a very relaxing afternoon at Hidden Treasure. Johnny, our server, was great at explaining the different food options and making drink recommendations. I ordered the shrimp and grits. Hands down one of the best cajun sauces I've ever had and I love the way they prepare grits (lightly fried). We rented a boat for an hour and enjoyed sitting back, watching the dolphins swim around us.

This place has potential with the views but the food is terrible, and the prices outrageous. You can tell the food isn’t freshly made and for the price it should be. In addition, the service was horrendous and we waited forever for drink refills. My friends from out of state were very disappointed. I’ll never be back.

As frequent patrons to both locations our last two visits were a real disappointment!! Morale was low in the staff, and them menu has changed drastically! No longer serving the most popular items, hardly any seafood choices, and the quality of what is being served was not nearly what it used to be. Unfortunately, the prices didn’t drop they way everything else did. We will take friends and family elsewhere while they are in town now! Really disappointed to see this happening to a place that we used to brag about to everyone!

Oh no, I am so sorry to hear about your recent visits with us and that they were not up to your expectations. I can try and address a few issues; We are unfortunately feeling the effects of the pandemic and that has affected staffing, items available from vendors and so for that reason we had to downsize the menu temporarily to be able to meet those issues while still taking care of our guests. As far as the morale, I am sorry that you had an experience like that, we have been able to hire quite a few new members and that is helping give those who stuck it out a break so we are still having a few growing issues.

The night we ate here it was raining so we couldn't take full advantage of the view of the water but the outstanding staff more than made up for mother nature spoiling our view. I had their Shrimp and Grits which they put a bit of a spin on. They fix the grits then freeze them in a pan and cut in wedges then deep fry them. I had my shrimp grilled and asked them to put the sauce on the side and it was GREAT. The seasoning on the shrimp was outstanding and the cajun sauce had bacon in it, who doesn't like bacon. My friend had their Black and Bleu Filet Tips which were great as well. If they have the Cheesy Crab cakes get them, YUM. I will be going back to this local "treasure" the next time I am in Daytona Beach

I gave an extra star for the atmosphere. This is an open air restaurant with full bar and great food at moderate pricing. Friendly staff, great water views. They have jet ski and boat rentals. They also have boat rides to their sister restaurant in Ponce Inlet. We had typical Virginia oysters which are very clean and delicious, coconut shrimp that were large and tasty. The beer was cold and the service was fast. We will definitely return often.
