The food and service was very good. One woman of seven In our party brought a bottle of water with her she explain to her that it has a protein drink that she drinks with her meal. When her bill came she was charge for an...extra two dollars . When she question why the woman from the kitchen came out and shouted at us all and said that we were rude and you never bring in your own drink we said we will never come back she said that’s fine that’s the cost of doing business. The Cook WAS not wearing mask !!More

Great little place to get some homemade German food. Some times the place can get pretty full as there are only a handful of tables, the the owners do their best to accommodate everyone. Food is very good! We always get to Euro Plater to...get a true taste of Europe.More

After reading the rather glowing write-up in the “Sun Weekly” last month, my wife and I, together with another couple decided that today Feb. 1st would be the day to go to the Taste of Europe Bistro for Diner. Since it was Roast Pork special...night, both men ordered this while the women ordered a lovely mushroom covered schnitzel and a salmon tartar Both women were delighted with their meals but the Roast Pork was very disappointing. Two slices of dry overcook tough pork covered with a nice gravy, looked great but was very disappointing . The server asked us several times how the meal was and when I told her the meat was dry and tough, she mumbled something about how everyone else liked it, but then did nothing. I found this very insulting and only added to my disappointment If the Roast Pork was the special for Saturday night I would strongly suggest you have one of the SchnitzelsMore

After reading some of the Trip Advisor reviews we thought we would give it a try and we were VERY happy we did. The food was really wonderful and the beer ice cold. We have been coming to Florida for over 15 years for six...months each time and we are always looking for great new places to eat out. This bistro was a welcome find.More

Guarantee you that you will return. We (6 of us) went last night. Visit #1. Service was excellent. Very knowlegeable server and the food was suburb. All chose different meals and no disappointments. Word of caution. Portions are very large. The balance of my meal..., I am sure, will be great at home tonight. Highly recommend.More

A hidden delight in Port Charlotte! It's a bit difficult to find, but well worth the search. Food was tasty and portion size was just right. The restaurant was all decorated for the holidays. The owner himself comes out from the kitchen to interact with...guests.More

We were at the butcher shop getting steaks and saw the bistro sign next to shop. So glad we stopped for lunch. Split a Schnitzel burger (breaded, fried pork loin with tomato & lettuce on a fresh roll. Doused it with the tzatziki sauce that...came out with the bread. The sauce & fresh bread were delicious!! Putting the sauce on our schnitzel burger was a great idea :)) The german potato salad that came with our lunch was amazing!! Best we have ever had. Definitely going back to try other items. Very interested in the potato pancakes! Had a glass of pino grigio and cabernet with lunch. Very nice! Denise was our server, she was very friendly & helpful. Cute little place, very charming. Highly recommend!!More

This is an authentic German restaurant. They have things here like German beer on tap and authentic German dishes. It will appeal to people who like German food. It is tidy and Gemuchtlich. I found the prices a bit elevated for what you get, which might...not bother people who are looking for "The Real Thing". I would return for something special and for special occasions. It is true, per other reviews, that they do not offer regular tap water, but you have to buy a bottle. Food is carefully prepared and served without ostentation. It is adjacent to a German Butcher shop, etc. which may have a connection(worth visiting)More

Had lunch at this restaurant - but ordered off the dinner menu. The food was good and nice portions. However, they didn't have any chicken in stock so I had to choose a pork dish. Also, be forewarned that they charge $2 for bottled water...because apparently they don't have tap water available (or so the waitress said) yet they did have ice. Sort of a turnoff considering their menu prices are not cheap (although in defense most German food isn't). Service was good although we were the only ones in the restaurant when they opened. It is a very small place but nicely decorated.More

Excellent food and service. I am gluten intolerant and they prepared a meal for me that was great, much more than anyone would expect. I highly recommend this establishment.
