Had lunch while visiting in Port Charlotte. Food was quick and delicious. The "medium" margaritas were huge and very tasty.

This was my first visit to the restaurant. We were seated in a back room where we could at first be socially distanced from other tables. The only reason we went out was for a business lunch, otherwise we would not risk going to a...restaurant right now. As the meal went on all the surrounding tables were filled. One table had a phone playing a basketball at full volume and none of the staff would ask them to turn it down. They also roll a cart around to each table to make guacamole so it feels very crowded when the cart is right next to you. The air conditioner was barely on and everyone at our table was moping their heads with their napkins from sweating so much. I had to put my legs up because the sweat was pooling under them in my chair, it was that hot (and I run cold by nature and am normally in a jacket in restaurants)! As we left the restaurant, anxious to be outside again, we walked back through the restaurant which we expected to be crowded since our back section was completely full and we noticed that there was NOT ONE SINGLE OTHER TABLE with people in the whole large restaurant! Not one! In the middle of a pandemic, they had the stupidity to crowd every single patron into one single room! WTF? I was furious that they would do this. I will never eat there again after they were so careless about the health of their clients. It brings up the question, if they do not care about your health, then how clean is the kitchen and behind the scenes? I do not have much hope given the careless seating arrangements. I am highly disappointed.More

So we're living through the coronavirus period and want to support local businesses offering take-out. I ordered my usual lunch favorite - quesadilla deluxe. Never been disappointed with this choice before but this was almost inedible. The quesadilla shell was limp and cold, not crispy....There was no discernible cheese; the chicken filling was meager and tasted like someone had accidentally added a cup of salt. The rice side was also stone cold. Even the salsa was much saltier than usual. Ate what I could and tossed the rest. We won't do take-out there ever again. Might give them another try when they're back open for inside dining, but maybe not after this experience.More

Free standing building painted in appropiate colors. Very neat and clean with a full parking lot which is usually a good sign. We were promply seated and served with the best salsa and chips I have ever had. The wait staff were clean and polite...and the building interior was also attractive. They have a large menu but the food was a disappointment. Many of the dishes did not come with rice and beans which is usually a staple. The family had three different dishes and none were overly impressive. For future Mexican food, I will return to another local restaurant which I think is much better. Large bar which was filled.More

Guacamole made at our table was a nice touch. Margarita was average. The Yucatán chicken was also average. So everything was ok...not bad but not great either.

My husband and I looked for a good place to eat. We were very disappointed here. I had chicken fajitas. They were overcooked. My husband had a combo fajita and his seafood was very overcooked. Not the best. The homemade-in front of you- guacamole looked...great. I wish we had tried that.More

We went for lunch and were seated immediately with salsa and chips coming quickly. I ordered chicken fajitas and my friend 2 quessidias. The food was a little slow coming. The fajita meat was overcooked and dry. Thinking back I should have sent it back....The quessadia was upon inspection a bit short on the meat. The total bill with 2 teas was $35.00. I was disappointed in this meal and so was my friend.More

Plaza Mexico is the only Mexican restaurant that my husband is willing to go to since it's Mexican. He is not a fan of this cuisine but likes the food here. The chips and salsa and freshly made guacamole are always on point. The entrees...are well prepared. Service is friendly and attentive.More

Seating has not been an issue but I have not been there during peak season yet; the food is so good it would be worth the wait.
