We stopped in for take out last night based on a picture from TripAdvisor. Ordered the Margarita because that's our go to pie. Picture was exactly what we wanted. We received a cheese pizza. See picture. The other pie, "The White" was delicious as was...the bruschetta. Bruschetta was different, wasn't real sure , but turned out delicious.More

Gluten free menu! Specifically the bread and Italian Christmas cookies! I was diagnosed with Celiac a few months ago so even cross contamination of gluten makes me very ill. I am second generation Italian American and I was so sad I wouldn’t get to eat...Italian Christmas cookies this holiday season. A friend sent me some gluten free bread and Italian Christmas cookies from Taglio and they were SO delicious. I couldn’t even tell the difference. I can tell that care was put into making their GF products in separate work space and equipment because I didn’t get sick from cross contamination! Delicious. Seriously go try some, even if you aren’t gluten free! I wish I took a photo before I ate them all, because they were also gorgeous.More

Taglio serves pizza made from fresh ingredients which in my opinion makes a world of difference. A "Slice" is actually 2 decent sized squares slices. Most could order 1 slice but I always order 2. I encourage everyone to give them a shot and see...for themselves how good this pizza really is!More

Well, pizza, but a lot more than we expected. We started with coccoli fritti as an antipasto ($11). Wow, didn't expect it to be so big. Served on a plank with 4 freshly made pieces of fried dough, served piping hot, the size of my...fist. It included a mound of very thin sliced prosciutto di parma (no gristle) and 6 or so slices of soppressata salami with burrata on a bed of arugula. One of us ordered a calzone, cooked perfectly, and the other ordered pizza (what we came for). The pizza choices are wide and can be ordered in 4 sizes including by the slice and personal size. Instead of the defined offerings we ordered the create your own which comes default with cheese and sauce (you can decline these) to which you can 3 toppings ($12) or more for an additional charge. The toppings were very high quality. For example the eggplant was thin sliced no skin or seeds and delicious. The pizza was thin crust, but you could order thicker. The flavors were impressive the ingredients were top notch. Even though we took some home in a box, we still ordered dessert (to go). The zeppole ($5) were cooked fresh and served hot with limoncello glaze dip. We ate these as soon as we got home, still hot. Bottom line: impressive quality of ingredients, cooked perfectly and served hot and fresh. We will be returning, the menu offers so many terrific choices.More

The food is outstanding & well worth a visit, but be careful because you'll keep going! I had an issue with my first order & they went above & beyond to make it right. I actually wanted to not like them because I was upset,...but the food was just too damn good & I would only be hurting myself to not go back!More

First visit brought many smiles to my Italian heart. Nice decor, including a print of Bari. Mouthwatering display of pan pizzas. Pleasant wait staff. When I took my first bite of the mushroom pizza, I knew I was experiencing for the first time, wonderful pizza....No where near the chains. A great addition to Port Charlotte. Light and crispy is hard to come by. I will be returning on many occasions I feel.More

Small—yes. More costly than the standard pizza joint—yes. BUT—new, exciting flavors and a staff that seems to really care about their offerings—YES, YES. A definite do-again. Can hardly wait to go back and try some other topping variations along with their fantastic crust.

An unexpected find that has become our new "date night" spot. We sat next to each other and shared our discovery of a new taste and quality in pizza, especially happy that we didn't need to travel to Tampa for something this good. And when...they run out of dough- they shut it down, because they maintain their standards, and there is no industrial type assembly line there. It reminded me of places in Europe, both in atmosphere and in quality. Get there a little early if you can- the dough is specially aged, so they don't have a limitless supply. The adult drinks are a decent selection of Italian wines, hard to find Italian beers and French hard cider. We had good Illy espresso at the end. As it should be.More
