Would have never tried or even found this place had not another favorite local treasure been closed on Mondays. Looked for something nearby for lunch and saw the good reviews for the Hometown Grill and decided to give it a try. Thankfully the GPS took...us here because otherwise we would have driven by as we had done countless times in the past without realizing it was even here. Nothing fancy in a non-descript strip mall but well worth the trouble to find. Came for lunch but upon being offered breakfast or lunch and seeing the many, extremely well priced breakfast options, we opted for that instead. This had to be the best Corn Beef Hash I've ever had in a restaurant, the eggs were perfectly cooked and the grits were excellent. My wife had what she described as the best biscuits and gravy other than her late mom's. Prices are very reasonable and the coffee's good too. Can't wait for an excuse to be in the area for breakfast or lunch again.More

We eat here regularly. The service is always great and friendly, the food is always good. The servings could be a little larger, but at their prices it is a good deal.

We are trying to find new places to have a good weekend relaxing breakfast. We walked into the little treasure just to try it out. Service was Excellent - there at the time were only two on staff but they handled it all with smiles....We felt like family instantly. Food was AMAZING... I love Irish Benedicts - Theirs rivaled any I have had. Portions were large and prices very reasonable. They are also following all of the COVID guidelines. A Little off the beaten path but TRY THIS PLACE OUT!!!More

Good food at reasonable prices. My wife's omelet came out fine, but my omelet was undercooked and runny in the middle. The waitress was notified, but there was no attempt on her part to make things right. She acknowledged the problem, agreed with me that...it was underrcooked, but that was it. If we come back, I will have to specify how I want it cooked, or else order something different. Overall, the service was fairly unprofessional.More

Great place to get great food at a great price. Unfortunately, the experience there has been ruined by ice cold plates! By the time the food reaches the table, it is COLD as the plates are freezing! We did bring it to the server's attention...and she claimed that the cooks did that on purpose because the server's were complaining that the plates were too hot to serve. There was no offer to do anything about it and when we returned the following week and asked that the food not be served on cold plates, we were reassured that it wouldn't happen again...unfortunately, it did. We cannot go back.More

Four of us stopped in for a first visit. We sat down and our waitress quickly got our drink orders. When ordering our meals she was not very polite or friendly. They no longer carry an item on the menu and her reaction was not...very nice when one of us ordered it(it was still listed on menu, there was no way of us knowing it was no longer available) Lunch menu is pretty basic, limited to sandwiches and wraps. Everything comes with homemade chips and a pickle, all else is a .99 cent upgrade. Prices seemed reasonable initially though prefer more options for sides without an up charge. Food came out and one of our meals was missing the side of chips and pickle. When it was later brought up, the waitress argued saying that isn’t supposed to come with any side. We showed her the menu, it was under The Sandwich Board section and states exactly “served with chips and pickle spear”. After pointing it out, she then says that they need to change it, it’s not supposed to say it. That’s fine but it was on their menu when we ordered and it was expected to come. I felt the argument was unneeded and petty especially since it clearly states what comes with it. She even tried to continue to go against the menu by saying that it excluded grilled items.. nothing says that on the menu. This left a bad impression for us. He just wanted what he had ordered and what the menu clearly shows comes with it. Afterwards she then did offer to bring chips out which was accepted. It would of been nice if she had just apologized for the confusion and offered to bring the side out without the debating about it. While we were there, the table behind us also did not get a side item that was supposed to come with their meal, they told the waitress and she said she would get it. Didn’t seem like she brought it out until they were about done eating. Not sure if this is something that happens often or not. I can understand a mistake and forgetting something but it would be best to make sure you get everything you ordered. For the food itself most was ok. Nothing outstanding but good. Burger was great and the fries were done perfectly. Wrap was good but there was a lot of sauce on one end which ended up very soggy and not edible. Homemade chips were good. The build your own sub was nice being able to choose toppings. Toppings were fresh but could of been a little more added. Was asked if wanted it cold or grilled. Opted for grilled. However it came out luke warm. Wasn’t toasted at all. Wouldn’t consider that being grilled, just warmed. Their subs are only 10” which isn’t very big considering waitress says sides are not included. Felt the price in that case was high without any side option(again, menu says side included though). The person in our group who got the sub was still hungry when we left. The burger and fries were the most filling meal. Sides were a bit skimpy also which didn’t help. I think portions were the most negative for us and would keep us from returning. This would be a better option for someone wanting a very light lunch or isn’t able to eat full size meals. Also the waitress and experience was not something we care to return for either. She also didn’t get our refills until our meals were about gone. I believe she was the only waitress there and people were coming in so it wasn’t entirely her fault, I think only one waitress isn’t the best idea for keeping all customers serviced well. It’s doubtful we will return based on portions, prices and overall experience. It’s a shame as the food wasn’t terrible and with some tweaks could be very good.More

We are “ new” locals ( 5 yrs) and have been to a few restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This place is the place for breakfast and lunch. We went for breakfast and we were very pleased. I had corned beef hash/ eggs and...my partner enjoyed eggs benedict cooked to perfection. The portions are plentiful, served piping hot, and served by a pleasant server. You won’t break the bank, either. Nice, clean, good atmosphere, good location!More

We have been looking for a reliable diner in the area for some time. Somehow, we had not tried the Hometown Grill, and I really regret that oversight. The place is easy to miss as their sign does not stand out, but it is worth...the hunt. Your first impression is how clean and fresh the establishment looks. Service was quick and polite. They have a good selection of items to choose from. I had their House Special sandwich with corned beef. It is undoubtedly the best sandwich I have had in Florida! I got it with the optional egg and onion rings. My wife had their hamburger, a third pound of very good beef on with fries. The staff was friendly and attentive without being pushy. They are obviously proud of their Grill and know what they are doing. I will definitely be back!More

We’ve been a little disappointed with most breakfast places in town, but this place had it all. It’s a small diner, immaculately clean! It has friendly, attentive servers and a breakfast menu with many options to customize your breakfast so it’s perfect for you! All...our food choices were delicious, well seasoned and cooked exactly as requested. To top it all off, the prices are unbeatable. You get MORE than you pay for at this place. Enjoy!More

Read the review and decided to stop in for breakfast. We were not disappointed. I had the breakfast special which was a breakfast burrito, your choice of meat & cheese, egg, and potato. I had the ham, provolone, egg and no potato. It was excellent...and came with coffee all for $5.00. It is a big burrito. Unbelievable. My husband had the Western omelette, hash browns and toast. It also was excellent. The closest thing we can find to an omelette from up north. Great price too.... Coffee was fresh and service was fast and friendly. We will be back.More
