Decided to take my friend to Lulu's to celebrate her birthday. She wanted to go to a waterfront ambiance, which it had, and very nicely. I had been there prior to this whole COVID19 issue and had good memories. It was disappointing to find out...that the lunch menu shown on their website is not quite updated to reflect its current selection on sight. There were two entrees detailed via their online menu, that I was looking forward to having, which neither were available during our visit for lunch. Neither the 1/2 & 1/2 Basket [Fried Oysters + Fried Shrimp], nor the 'Palm Valley Burger' [w/ bacon, red onion jam, gouda cheese & roasted poblano pepper]. I ended up ordering the 'Shrimp Basket', which came with one side, hence, I selected the brussels sprout cooked with bacon, as suggested. My serving came in this quasi-basket, which 'only' included [and I counted] 6 shrimps, and in a cup [not a bowl for any means] the brussels sprouts. The sprouts were actually not bad, but it had no reflection/flavor of any kind that it was cooked with bacon. The shrimp was well cooked and tasty, but for $15.99, I would think I could get more of them. It looked more like the portion served for a child, or the portion found commonly as an 'appetizer' than an entree. Mind you, there was nothing else served with it. My friend ordered the 'Tacos', which she agreed were tasty, but they didn't resemble a 'double-decker' in any way. Don't mind paying for good food, but at least it should match a standard quantity. The waitress was indeed very nice, and the service was pleasant. Very pleased to know that customers had the freedom to decide whether to wear a mask or not. Glad we still have a choice!More
