As a pizza lover I have to say the pizza here is some of the best I've had anywhere. As good as it gets. I'm glad as a new resident plantation to have a place with pizza this good in the neighborhood.

This used to be our go-to pizza place (since Luv'n Oven closed down years ago). The last two times we took out pizza (figured once was a quirk, twice is a pattern), we were very disappointed. The pizza was bland, tasteless, underdone and the pepperoni was very skimpy-a couple of pieces per slice. The dough was spongy, with no texture or chew. The last time, last week, it upset my stomach for days. After years of regular patronage, we will not go back.

Went here today at noon with three friends The booths (tables were too wobbly) and we had to check a few out to find one that was stationary some what the table. The waitress did not bring lemon with the water. I asked for cream for coffee and she brought milk and when I told her I wanted cream said they didn't have any after I was already served. I said they must have heavy cream in the kitchen and she said yes but she could not get it for me as they would refuse. The owners son when he brought the food got me a drop of heavy creme could they spare it? I asked for a second cup of coffee and it took forever they were making it. Never came back to see how everything was or if I wanted more coffee. Not friendly. Will not go back. The place needs a lot of fixing up and in this area there are too many nicer restaurants like Silician Oven that have better quality food and better service. My pizza was just so so. You don't have creme for coffee and don't mention it and after coffee is brought and it is mentioned say they won't allow the server to bring it in other words the creme is only for the kitchen when making food but milk only for customers. Wow! The waitress smiled at the end and was a little nicer to me so we did tip 20% but when they are great I tip a little extra why not. I appreciate great service. Not here. Seedy tables wobbly and place really needs redoing and the rest of the food was okay but nothing to rave home about. Sorry. Maybe another server or two were out but could of said I am all alone anything. It seemed like if we asked for anything she was not happy. Never once came over to the table to ask how our meals were or if we needed anything and that we were annoying her when we did ask. This is a no no. I like good service and a pleasant experience or I won't go back. Too many other great places in the area.

I have been going here since I was a kid. One of my businesses is credit card processing. I noticed their equipment was old and out dated so I approached the owners Nick and Joe with a business strategy where I would provide them with all new equipment for free and told them they could also eliminate there processing and credit card fees simply by adding 3.5 percent to each transaction. To make a long story short they said it wasn't for them. Well I walked in the other day with my Mother and she noticed that they had new equipment and a sign saying 3.5 percent would apply to each credit card transaction. My Mother encouraged me to approach them since she was there when I spoke to them about this strategy. Since I have been going there for 35 years I simply wanted to know why they circumvented me. I spoke with Carlos who is Nicks son and he told me it was not his decision and I should talk to his Father but he also said that since his Mother Renata passed away nothing there has been right. I was walking in there yesterday with my Mother only to be met by Nick at the door letting us know my 82 year old Mother and I are no longer welcome in there establishment he said he didn't appreciate me questioning him. The only thing that was great about this restaurant was Nicks wife Renata who was one of the sweetest most genuine people I ever met unfortunately we lost her last year but any of you who knew her knows she was an amazing person. In my opinion they have decent Pizza but no integrity or character and I have no intention of ever going back there because it is to toxic and they should be ashamed of themselves.

Just visiting in Plantation and decided to try this spot. My wife had the pasta soup and said it was very good. I ordered the small calzone. Jeez! The large must be colossal! The small was too big for a standard plate. It comes with a bunch of ricotta cheese in it. I added mushrooms, spinach, sausage and pepperoni. It was very good. The marinara sauce was incredibly good. So the calzone and marinara together was absolutely delicious! Definitely will be returning.

I didn't look before I left. About a third of the pie was dry air puffs and one slice was mostly dry. They got cheap on the sauce and cheese. Not going back, there are other choices nearby.

Great italian food. Pizza and lasagna are the best! Atmosphere at the restaurant is very Italian. Staff is a little slow. Great garlic rolls. They will cater.

Arrived w/ friends following a sad occasion, looking for a meal and to cheer each other up. Because it was 4-ish p.m., the restaurant was empty yet we were led past many dirty tables, greasy floors-- even though our table was "clear", it was greasy. While we watched at 4 pm in an empty restaurant, our table was wiped clean and provided w/ clean. The server brought water (w/o lemon, though requested) , laid no straws, brought greasy garlic rolls. But we had no plates, no napkins, no silverware, were still waiting for our table to dry. Call to server. I decided to splurge on a "fish special of the day" described as "just like sea bass" --NOT. It was some flat fish, presented w/ tail on, still attached to skin...smothered in 2 lbs of peas and onions. Ugh and ugh. Due to our sad reason for all dining together as a group, I remained cordial and ate what I could for my $25+ entree that had zero side dish. At the end, asked for separate checks, server "had no way to split checks". WHAT?! In this day/age that is unacceptable. Jacarandra Pizza Rant used to be a great "where should we go last minute?" kinda place...NEVER, EVER again. And I am talking over 20 yrs coming here.

My kids and I go to Plantation to visit my grandmother every year - and eating at Jacaranda Italian is a MUST DO for us. The food is comforting and delicious, the value is great, and the service has always been excellent. My kids can't get enough of the bread (it's a MUST EAT - they have garlic and plain) and my grandmother and I love the pasta soup and the lasagna. We always walk away feeling happy .... it's one of our happy places. It's not fancy - but it's good food and friendly service. We WILL be there on our next visit!
