Definitely the worst meal this year. Everything was mega-greasy and tasted like it was cooked last week. I couldn't eat it, I tossed it in the trash (as did my co-worker with his order) and we went next door to Mi Casa for lunch.
We live in Plant City and have been here a few times. Had a poor experience each time with tonight being the worst and last time we ever go here. 1: Owners young children are rude and obnoxious. They are the only "waiters" in the...place and the boy is so arrogant when you try to correct an error with your order. 3: A trampoline in the dining room?? They have a mini trampoine that both kids were jumping on and an older man later sat on it and loudly played with the boy. 4: Woman did excercises in the dining room after she made our sushi. 5: Kids and family lied to a customer that their delivery driver had already left with their order and laughed about it when they spoke with the drivwr on his way out. 6: An employee was smoking in the restaurant. 7: They overcharged us for deep frying a sushi roll. Previous visits was $1 per roll, now $3 per roll. We have learned our lesson. OSHA is getting a call Monday morning!More
1, my waitress was a 7 year old girl. The 7year old and her brother were playing on a trampoline in the middle of the dining room, screaming back and forth to each other. Remember, these are the only "employees" while adults are nowhere to...be found. We ordered 4 veggie rolls. Menu says $4.55. We ordered water to drink & nothing else. The 9yr old boy at the cash register told us our bill was $48. Aside from that, we had to pick nasty roe off our veggie rolls. Which doesnt come on the rolls per the menu. We heard the children answering the phones & lying to customers "oh the delivery driver already left" then yells to the back to have the parents make the food that was supposed to be delivered already. You HAVE to eat your food there. If you order delivey, which we've done before, it does take about 40 minutes extra to arrive, and the portions are tiny. On a previous visit, the young boy was extremely rude to a very old gentleman who couldn't understand him. The man asked for some rice dish. The boy rudely responds "what for" and keeps repeating it, demanding an answer. The older gentleman said "to eat?" and the boy started rattling off "you want to eat here, to gob what!". Today was our last visit. These people are horrible. If you think I'm exaggerating, go dine in there and see for yourself.More
The online menu looked intriguing offering both sushi and chinese staples, so we decided to give it a try. When we arrived, the resturant was empty except for a family eating. The 11ish year old daughter got up and seated seated us, then returned to...the table to continue eating. The mother in no way acknowledged us. After about 7 minutes of awkward silence, we decided to leave. It was incredibly bazaar. I understand having your children in the resturant, as it is not uncommon. However as one experienced in the hospitality industry, it is entirely inappropriate for staff /owners to eat in the front of the house, especially while ignoring customers.More
Ordered the honey chicken. I literally got chicken with sugar on it. I took it back and was told that's how it's made. Well everywhere else I have got it uses honey. It may be mixed with sugar but certainly not just sugar thrown on...topMore
We stopped here on the way from Tampa to Orlando and found the small dining room strangely empty on a Friday evening. A boy about 8 years old was manning the register. We thought he was helping his mother or something.
But after we sat...in a booth, the boy brought us menus and told us he would be taking our order. My wife asked what meats were in the Four Seasons dish and he had no idea. Then an even younger girl (maybe 5 or 6) brought us our waters.
Since one of our party had a food allergy, we decided this wasn't shaping up very well. We also had our doubts about the sanitation from the look of the dining room and ended up leaving.
Maybe something strange happened with the hired help that evening, but I've never seen an 8-year-old and a 6-year-old manning the front of the house solo in any restaurant anywhere before.More
Cooking oil is expensive so many restaurants don't change out the oil in their fryers as often as they should. Apparently Sakura King is trying to get the most use out of their oil as they possible can. All my food had a pungent, burnt...oil taste. I would not recommend this restaurant.More
