We have been here many times, the food is always good and real Cajun, but the service seems to have disappeared. This is the third time since our May 2016 review (Rated it 5 then) that we have been here. The first two times it took a long time to get served and the waiter on both occasions would leave... More

I'm not sure what other reviewers were complaining about, but it's a bar so the food is gonna be greasy, common sense🙄 No it's not Louisiana but it's darn close. The spice? Great! I had alligator tails and dirty rice and it was delish! Beer selection? Vast! Had a waitress who let us sample beers. 🍻

... If you've been to NOLA this is a place that might even disappoint. Cajun Cafe was a bit of a let down in the food, atmosphere and service. There were 2 large parties taking place and the outside areas were closed and it seemed there wasn't enough staff; being that our server had not only our section but was... More

Ate outside at picnic tables overlooking water. Saw a beautiful rainbow while eating. This is a very casual place - and a good place for beer & New Orleans food. Ordered the taco & salad which was very good. Others had gumbo, corn bread (best ever) and crab cakes. Ended with there only desert - bread pudding which was plenty... More

First time visiting here, but we will definitely be back. I am from NOLA and the Crawfish Etouffee was the best I have ever had outside Louisiana. The rest of the menu looked delicious and I want to try a bunch more dishes. This place has a fish camp atmosphere and you can eat right on the water.

Be hungry & thirsty when you go. Many, many excellent beer choices & the portions are large. Boudin is excellent. Jambalaya & e'touffee' are very good & very filling. The best seating is outside if the heat allows. The setting is great back in the "bayou". Dixie & other southern beers are available as well as many beers from around... More

Four of us dined outside and enjoyed our meals. We had the onion strings and they are super greasy. We all enjoyed our meals and would go back.

You will like if you are fond of cajun food. I sat outside, under a roof, on a channel of water. The food was good and there was quite a bit of variety if you like spicy cajun food. There were other options for people who prefer non-spicy food.
