Gem of a resturant fine dinning VERY resonable price for the experience of handmade food to order, excellect taste, quality and ambiance! Dont go if you dont have a couple hours to relax and enjoy these culinary delights! Fresh made pasta as well. We had two appetizer's (approx 14$ each) (Calamari and baked Brie) Two main dishes (approx 22 each) a mediam priced bottle of wine (38$) desert and two cappacino (approx 22$ total) so if you didnt want to splurge you could spend less our bill total with tip abt 160.00 VERY enjoyable evening. Loved it we will be back.

Always the most delicious, flavorful, and tasty Italian meals. Atmosphere is musical on the weekend when I was there. Good service and as soon as you are seated, the good bread comes to your table with different olive oils. Just super. Never a bad meal. Menu has a large selection. Do not miss out on the fresh pasta.

i got the opportunity to try their food today through the meals on wheels program & i really loved it!! i'm a 70yr old senior on a fixed income so i don't get to eat at a fancy restaurant much because it's a bit pricey for someone like me. i can barely afford fast food & that is getting a bit high. real italiano is my favorite & my heritage. i absolutely LOVE the food. i just wanted to THANK YOU for partnering with meals on wheels. i LOVED the funny "grazie mille" in the bag too!!

This was our second visit and we were terribly disappointed with the overall experience. As I said in the title, the food was excellent. The appetizer (Bruschetta) was seasoned perfectly and the piccata and pasta were extremely good. The service however ruined the evening. We watched people get seated right before us and their server came within a minute or or so with water and cheerfullhy asked them about drinks. Five minutes later, our server came and asked us if we were ready to order. Her demeanor was like she was bored to death waiting on us. We ordered drink and an appetizer. She served the drinks and disappeared. Finally when the appetizer came, we had to ask her for water. This continued the evening. She did come with pepper for the salad and main course, but served us our meals backwards. After dinner, no asking if we wanted desert or an after-dinner drink. We also were disappointed that she did not mention. that there was an up-charge on selecting a different sauce for the pasta or (as we heard another waiter do to the table nest to us) ask us if we wanted blue-cheese on the salad.
Overall, a disappointing experience

We love love this restaurant! We have traveled through Italy and if you are looking for authentic fresh pasta and bolognese you have found it! It is a hike for us however we always bring in new guests that have never been that are visiting us or nearby. I always go there as an excuse during the holidays for gift cards a special trip. It is worth the hike wherever you are coming from to have professional staff, we ask for Dave if he’s working and a chef/owner. This restaurant is the best Italian restaurant in our area. They have an antipasto smorgasbord that is so delicious and awesome to fill out the different olives, cheeses, meats etc you desire and hand to your server and the presentation is very nice. Also if you like lunch they open Thursday and Fridays for lunch with a lunch menu that is extremely reasonable. Great wine list too and also reasonable.

Admittedly I’ve waited way too long to write this review. Frankly, it was such a perplexing experience, that I just wanted to forget about it a while. But we are back in town looking for good Italian and it reminded me of what happened a little less than a year ago.
A storm came through while we were there and the power completely went out. (They said it was something that had only happened maybe one other time in all the years they’ve been open). In hopes that it would only be a brief outage and power would be restored or that they would have had a generator or something, we stuck it out. That was not the case.
As it was July, the restaurant quickly became uncomfortably hot. The hostess was walking around fanning people at their tables with a menu and apologizing. It was a bit awkward and very little relief; we were sweating. Ugh. Now it was already too uncomfortable to be enjoying a cozy dinner in the dark.
Then the waiters went around to tables and said that they were unable to prepare many of the things that had been ordered because they were things that needed electricity, so we had to take one of the few things that they WERE able to make without power. Ok fine. Now we are sitting in the heat waiting for meals that were not our choices.
Next issue is that because they were limited in their equipment, it took a great deal of time for the food to come out. The food that finally did come was mediocre. So we paid to sit in an uncomfortably hot, dark restaurant, (despite a candle at each table), and wait a long time to eat mediocre meals that were not our choosing.
The whole time we remained patient and friendly, understanding that things happen and obviously this was uncharted territory for them. But as understanding, patient, and friendly patrons, it seemed incomprehensible that not a single thing was done to compensate for the debacle. The whole experience was not good but really what I found most disappointing was they did not so much as comp a single thing. Not a glass of wine. Not a dessert. Not the meal that we had to settle for that we didn’t order. Nothing. I don’t understand how management would not have found this to be in order. The power going out is beyond their control, but how they handled the situation with the patrons that were already there WAS in their control, and at the bare minimum, a round of house drinks or dessert on the house as a measure of good will should have been a given. To us, that reflected on how they feel about their patrons and it left such a bad taste in our mouths.

EXCELLENT! We come down for Spring Training every year. We were looking for a reasonably priced restaurant to add to our itinerary. Da Sesto’s fit the bill. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinners - Eggplant Parm & Veal Pockets stuffed with sausage (Fagotto di Vitello). Our waiter, Jorge, was a pleasure - attentive, efficient, and cordial. Could not have asked for more.

We had reservations at Da Sesto’s on New Years Eve, but maybe did not even need them since there were empty tables. The ambiance and music are nice, the food was ok, but the service was not good. It was a while before we even received drinks or bread and well over an hour before we received the dinner (although there was one appetizer and salad). I also did not appreciate that the waiter pointed out that they had Gorgonzola stuffed olives for martinis, but did not mention that there was a $2 charge for them in each drink.

Our server, Michael, was pleasant and attentive. My husband had the special, pappardelle with sausage and porcini mushrooms in a cream sauce. I had the lasagna. We shared a lovely bottle of Nebbiolo. We thoroughly enjoyed everything, and will definitely return the next time we are in the area.

We ordered take out last night due to the virus, we were very happy with our order. We had two entrees, desert and salad with a special favorite drink. We have been going since they opened and the food is always been great. We only wish we could have dining inside to get out of the house we been locked up for three weeks.
To all the staff that helped keep this place open, we want to say thank you very much. We plan on keep supporting our local restaurants so we have a great choice of good restaurants like this one. Keep up the good.work, it will pay off in the end.

As you enter the parking lot you think maybe it’s a drive up pizza place or something else? Well you’re wrong it’s a unique higher end restaurant with some classics Italian dishes.
Your first greeted by an extremely friendly hostess and a full size statue of Don Corleone complete with cigar (they also have a full size humidor with some good smokes).
Service is good and not rushed and they were busy all through our time there. Drink choices and wine list are extensive as well. We had smoked cinnamon old fashioned and an Italian margaritas.
Ordered the bruschetta and was somewhat disappointed as it’s hard crust bread slices with the mix in the center kind of make your own as you go. The ceaser salad was good and the minestrone soup outstanding. The eggplant parmigiana was well done the sauce very tasty and the Cioppino over linguine was good though the stew somewhat lacked a lot of spice.
All this coupled with live entertainment made for an enjoyable evening.

If you want an Italian experience, food, service and overall ambiance that is absolutely wonderful, Da Sesto is the place to go. The food is by far the best we have had, and we are Italian. We have introduced quite a few couples to this restaurant and without hesitation it is the best in Tampa Bay...last night we introduced 4 new couples to this restaurant and form the hostess to Derek the waiter - they had nothing but praise for the food staff and restaurant.
THE ABSOLUTE BEST!

I tried this restaurant because I was in the area and read numerous excellent reviews. My server was extremely friendly and attentive. At my request, she recommended one of their dishes that I normally may not have tried. It was fantastic. I'll definitely be coming back.

We were in town visiting family and they recommended this restaurant to us. We had to wait about 20 minutes past our reservation time, but Ashley, the kindest hostess I’ve ever met, brought us some delicious bruschetta to snack on while we waited. Once seated, Whitney took amazing care of us! She anticipated all of our wants and needs! She was always one step ahead! The food is EXCELLENT!! We had two teenagers in our party and they even raved about how good everything was! You will not be disappointed!! We will be back next time we are in town! Thank you for a great experience!

We went on a whim on a Wednesday night and were surprised to see the parking lot was packed. We didn't have a reservation but they were able to fit us in. Now we understand why it was so crowded. The food is delicious and the service is great. It also has a cool, old school vibe. I had the bruschetta appetizer and my boyfriend had the fried calamari. Both were perfect. We both had house salads. I love the dressing. We were both in the mood for pasta, especially since they only use fresh pasta. My tortellini was absolutely delicious and my boyfriend loved his rigatoni bolognese. We were too full for dessert but maybe next time. We thought there was a mistake when the check came because it was so cheap. This is definitely our new go to restaurant. Great food and great value.
