Found this on trip advisor traveling so gave it a try. Had the wild berry salad and wife the quiche and summer shrimp appetizer. All were excellent. Salad was so fresh and wonderful ingredients. We split the shrimp and again so well done. Wish we...lived closer. Great food beautifully prepared.More

We ran across this place for a lunch, and said let's try this! We were not to be disappointed! The Mahi fish was excellent on a Brio bun, beautifully and lightly blackened (as I requested), but the greens and spices made this the best Mahi...sandwich I have ever had. Such an excellent marriage of seafood, marinated herbs, tomato and greens. Service was the best also. She artfully described our choices and options, answering our questions with clarity. We highly recommend Georges French Bistro. Such a culinary treat!More

My husband and I were in Pensacola for two nights. We wanted to find a casual but nice restaurant for dinner. We found some good reviews for George Bistro +Bar and it was only 6 minutes from our hotel. Don’t go there if you are...looking for beach ambiance, but DO GO HERE if you want exceptionally good food, interesting cocktails and excellent service, at a VERY reasonable price for the excellent food and drink offered. What a delightful culinary surprise! Our server, Amy, was exceptional; she impressed me by noticing the small things (taking away the straw covers so they would not blow away); she was attentive without being intrusive; she was knowledgeable about the menu selections; she was delightful. The menu selections were truly haute cuisine in a casual manner. The house specialty cocktails were fascinating (blood orange margarita, chamomile sour). The deserts, pure yummy! My husband and I have traveled to every continent (yes, even Antarctica) and George Bistro + Bar will be a standout culinary memory for us. Too bad we don’t have a requirement to be in Pensacola very often, but when we do, we will ALWAYS eat at George Bistro +Bar.More

Wonderful service, festive atmosphere and great food. Artichoke appetizer was great incredible- wished it had been larger. Pasta with grilled shrimp and the braised pork entree were perfect. Will definitely go here again.

Bar seats can be a poor experience depending on your tastes. First the bar is tiny and cluttered. One end is near the door to the unsightly kitchen which is often propped open and noisy. The other end of the bar is next to a...door to outside seating. The bar view is dominated by two large televisions which are always showing bizarre programming of interest only to the bartenders. An upscale bar should be be dominated by TV. Service at the bar varies from quite good (bar manager) to atrocious and self-absorbed. The food is typically very good.More

Overall an pleasurable experience. It was very crowded but it should have been expected for brunch on a Mother’s Day. However we had a reservation and was seated immediately once we arrived. The waiter Ryan was exceptional and took really good care of us. Did...not order any special drinks besides oj and blueberry lavender lemonade. The portion size of our meal was great, ordering the short rib Mac and cheese and garden frittata. The appetizer however, fried artichoke, was comically small and overpriced for what was offered. All in all, a great experience and one of the best spots to have breakfast in Pensacola. Oh by the way parking sucks. Park across the street at the shutdown business.More

We went here for breakfast right when they opened on a Sunday at 9am. We sat outside and it does fill up fast. We started with peach Bellinis which were great. For brunch I had the quiche which was so light and fluffy and just...the perfect portion with the side salad and fruit. My friend had the huge portion size of French toast which was delicious. My other friend had the garden omelette and loved it too. Everything was great and Chad our server was great too! Highly recommend while in town.More

My husband and I stopped in for lunch on our way to the airport and we were blown away! I had the Wild Blackberry + Strawberry Fields Salad which is hands down the best salad that I have ever eaten. My husband had the Pastrami...sandwich, which he loved. Our server was so helpful as we selected our meals and provided great service throughout our meal. If I lived in Pensacola, I would definitely be “a regular”.More

We saw that this restaurant had excellent reviews, so we decided to wait for an hour to try their brunch. It took another 1 1/2 hours to get our food. We wanted to order drinks while we waited, but the waiter was rarely within sight....We are a family of four. We would have went somewhere else, but we thought at least the food will be really good. We were disappointed there as well. The kids did like the french toast on the kid's meal though. It was a huge waste of time and money.More

One of our adult children casually polled coworkers in Pensacola for restaurant recommendations for us since we were going to be in this city for our anniversary. George Bistro + Bar was one of them. It was eventually chosen because it fit into our schedule....It was outstanding. First and foremost, make a reservation. This place filled up. Parking is tight. It's situated in a developed area and has a small parking lot. Many found parking on the street and walked a bit. We ate at the outside covered area. We were blessed to have a server named Kate who was beyond fantastic. She knew how to be personable and friendly while getting her job done, and we never felt rushed. She addressed all of our questions about the gourmet menu offerings and was very knowledgeable about all of them. With her help, we both chose Seared Local Grouper -- brown butter roasted spaghetti squash, honey lavender glazed tricolor carrots, corn + leek emulsion, parsley oil -- which was to die for! It was presented in a mound. While we were highly impressed as we ate the ingredients individually so as to know how they tasted, gourmet ecstasy came when we transferred a little bit of everything on the fork to our mouths. Being in Florida, of course we had to have the key lime pie for dessert. Kate surprised us with a presentation benefitting our milestone anniversary. While we were there, we saw one couple with their young children. These kids must have mature palates for we saw nothing specifically targeted to young ones on the menu. Maybe George has a kids menu that we weren't given (?). Items on the menu are costly; saying that, prices were very understandable after we tasted what had been prepared for us. We have a memory of an absolutely wonderful anniversary celebratory meal that will be hard to beat.More

We picked our son up at the airport and stopped at George's for lunch. Our first time here. No inside seating available at 11:30am, because we had not made a reservation. OK. We sat outside, a little cool but we'll be good. An hour later...we were paying our bill after receiving excellent service, fine cocktails, and very tasty food. Definitely will be back.More

The restaurant is good but a little bit pricy if you can’t afford big expenses (this is not the restaurant fault but it is me that is poor). The service is good but slow. The servers are polite. It is also clean.

Be sure to make reservations before coming here. Beside the wait. The food is top notch, fresh, and flavorful. Faith our waitress was super nice and it made her day that we ordered desert during the brunch rush. No matter what you’re going to order....You will not be disappointed.More

Fantastic birthday dinner. Alfredo paparadelle homemade noodles was wonderful. Blackened shrimp perfectly seasoned. Shrimp and grits was light and delicious. Short ribs and wild mushroom ravioli melted in your mouth. Crispy artichoke appetizer was amazing with dill sauce. Coffee was excellent. The best part of...the night was our waitress, Winsome. She made the birthday night super fun. She was so engaging, attentive, like seeing a close friend. Just a great night all- around. Highly recommend!More
