I am a local and love McGuires. I love taking out of town visitors here because the setting is really unique and cozy. The food is very predictably good. I really enjoy the bean soup, bread, lunch pot roast, hamburgers and brownie dessert the best but everything I've had has been good. Friday and Saturday entertainment in the later evening... More

I so enjoy eating here, however, it never fails that after I order it takes a good 45 minutes for them to bring out the meal. Whose got time for that? Also, it's too damn dark in there.

It's all good here folks, great food, great drinks, great service - but mostly it's just about the atmosphere of the place!!! It's always crowded but that's a good sign right! It's a fun hang out and we love when they come around playing the bagpipes! Everything is good, and you won't forget your visit!

Was on a business trip and this place was highly recommended..glad I tried it. My filet was wonderful and the sides including the 18 cent bean soup were very good. Huge helpings - I could not eat it all despite its deliciosness.

Look, I know this place has great reviews and the main reason I tried it was so many people told me it was great. I must be missing something. The interior is dark, cramped and very dated. Plus, the whole authentic Irish thing is ridiculous - there was a sign for Oktoberfest on my table, the waitress suggested Calamari (that... More

Thanks for your review burghughes. Sorry to hear that you didn't have a great time or enjoy everything. We are a "New York Turn of the Century" Irish pub. We are suppose to be a little darker and dated. Dated to the turn of the century. Every item on the menu is not totally Irish. That's where the "New York"... More

Good food! I had the fish and chips, my husband and brothers had the burgers (they were ginormous- share the burger if you're also planning to try their appetizers). We were intrigued by the bean soup for $0.18 and it was actually good. Great service! Heather was great- prompt and fun, even at 1 in the morning, serving a big... More

Had a great dinner at McGuire's! My twelve year old said the Filet Mignon was the best he's every had. Great service. Across the street from the Courtyard Marriott Downtown. Use the No Wait app to get on the Wait List if visiting on the weekend!

Great ambience, always packed. Need reservations way ahead. VIsited on a weeknight and the wait time was still quite long. Once in it, you can't miss the dollar bills all over the place. The food came out exactly as ordered. Large portions, cooked perfectly. Everything was very tasty. So far the best piece of steak I have had.

Description
McGuire's Irish Pub first opened in 1977 as a small neighborhood pub in a shopping center. In 1982 McGuire's moves to its current location; Pensacola's original 1927 Old Firehouse. Inside the pub you'll find a turn-of-the-century, New York Irish Saloon themed 615-seat restaurant. We are celebrated for our atmosphere boasting more than One Million signed dollar bills hanging from the ceilings and walls of the Pub. In 1996, McGuire's Irish Pub of Destin opened on beautiful Destin Harbor with the same great food and live Irish entertainment. For the most current Menu's please visit our website.
