A Great Place to Enjoy Oysters

When we first arrived, we were told there would be a half-hour wait, but due to the fact that the group in front of us was not all there, they seated us within about 2 minutes, so we were really pleased with that. Out of 7 of us, 5 had the raw oysters, and they were quite good. Most of us also ordered wings, but we found that 10 each was a little too much, so next time we would share 10. The regular breading was far too thick, so ask about the getting less breading, which they do. Also, there are multiple choice of sauce, so you can get them as hot as you want They don't serve liquor, but have many different beers and also at least one cooler. An enjoyable place to eat, if you don't mind the noise.

Like oysters? No? You will now!!!

Blown away. Delicious. Little hole in the wall, but in my experience are the best spots. After complaining about the food absolutely sucking in PCB, a stranger on the beach referred us to this spot. Thank god. I dont give 5s... ever. But. Due to the oysters blowing my mind (which I'm def not a big oyster fan), our server Jamison, and the quality of the other food we had, and the reasonable price... they get a top rating by me. I HIGHLY recommend you try the place out. If I come back to PCB, I will most DEFINITELY come back here, no doubt.

Fun, local seafood, cold beer

This is a low key, dive type place, which is just what my group wanted. Very casual setting with dollar bills everywhere. If you are looking for upscale, go somewhere else. From our entrance in, one of the workers pointing out for us to be careful walking on the plastic crates he had put down over the water, to our waitresses (we had shift change, and so had a couple), the service was excellent. Our servers were not overbearing and patiently explained dishes to us. My table shared some raw oysters and a baked sampler of oysters. The raw are $10.99 during happy hour for a dozen. I enjoyed all of them. So, I wasn't looking for a huge meal, I had the crab claw appetizer, fried. They were served with a creamy sauce, I asked for cocktail sauce, which I much preferred with them. The half pound was plenty for my dinner. Really enjoyed it and would go back for sure!

Everything tasted the same

The wait for groups larger than 2 was utterly ridiculous! I did not have to wait because there were only two of us. If I was one of the many people I heard the wait staff tell an hour and a half wait, I would have complained to the management. I had a nice variety of seafood; Oysters, Grouper, Scallops - But I could not even tell a taste difference between them because they all tasted the same - OVERCOOKED!

Not as good as advertised...

I really wanted to like this place. It has a great atmosphere, and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t up to par. We were a party of 6, and came for an early dinner(arrived at 3:30)waited a little over 40 minutes. There is no waiting area, and little to no shade outside, so you either have to stand in the sun,or get lucky enough to sit at a picnic table, or sit in your car. We were seated in a big booth in rear of restaurant. The place felt dirty. Behind our booth we’re about 7-8 flies hanging out. I know we are in the south in the summer time, but I feel like more could be done about it. We ordered a fried seafood platter, and fish and chips, amongst a few other things. The food was just ok, it wasn’t great. Their hush puppies were really good, but everything else was just “meh”. I’d try this place again to have a few drinks, but not for dinner.

Fantastic Date Night!

We arrived at 6 and were seated by 7:15. We enjoyed a few pitchers of beer while we waited which the bartender was happy to serve us each time. We were seated at the bar in the back with 2 of the coolest employees busy cracking oysters. They gave us recommendations on what to get and we loved the sampler and baked oysters! We will be back next time in town! Thanks for a fun last night with delicious food and awesome service!

Still a happening place.....

It has been a couple years since our last trip to Dusty's. Again, we had good food, efficient service in this unique relaxed atmosphere. And like most times at dinner there was a line up but the wait is worth it. Seems like it is always packed here. We enjoyed raw oysters that were plump and sweet tasting. The fish was crispy and flaky, naked wings large and very crispy with a tangy medium sauce. Roxanne, the server at the bar was very friendly and made our meal more enjoyable with entertaining conversation. This time I even purchased a classic orange "Dusty's" t-shirt.

A little disappointed this time

Been coming to PCB for the last 10 years for the month of February. Dusty’s has always been a favourite spot with great service, great ambience, great oysters and cold beer. This time however we were disappointed with the baked oysters. The preparation was obviously rushed as toppings were all over the tray and not on the oysters snd they were only warm and cheese had not melted completely. Maybe just a bad day for the chef but maybe time for some re education in baked oyster prep. Will be going back next week so hopefully will be better.

Overrated these days 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’ll start with the positive. Our waiter -Daniel I think-was SUPER helpful in picking things out, as we had never been there before and aren’t incredibly experienced seafood eaters. Now...the bartender was RUDE. Just like, awful. She ignored us and was short with us. Luckily we didn’t have to deal with her much as we only got drinks while we waited. The food was decent but nothing incredible and of course we couldn’t get the oysters because they were out, as they have been apparently due to Covid. 🤷🏼‍♀️ It made me feel like this place was overrated and I felt pretty under appreciated, as a customer. Our family comes to PCB each summer but we won’t be back to Dusty’s, unfortunately.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. The hostess was extremely rude. We had a party of 4. They took 4 groups that showed up after us because they had 5 in all 4 groups, and they said they took them ahead of us because we needed to wait on a table for 4. Two hours later( after being told 40 minute wait ) they seated us and told us only 25% of the menu was available because the other 75% was sold out. When I asked why they didn't tell us this before we waited 2 hours....the hostess got very nasty with my family so we got up and left. I would give this place zero stars if possible but had to give it 1 to post a review. If they can't treat people decent, they don't deserve my money or yours. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Nasty oysters

I love raw oysters and these were so disappointing. My dozen were served on a stinky, greasy tray and the oysters were muddy and smelled horrible. When I asked if this was the normal way they served them, I got a nasty "yes." I couldnt eat a muddy oyster nor drink their warm draft beer. Fried pickles were the bomb though. Too many other great places to eat oysters that are properly cleaned and chilled.

Turned away at 7pm on a Friday night

We would’ve loved to have actually eaten here, but unfortunately the hostess turned us away for a party of 2 at 7pm on a Friday night during Fall Break. Her reason was because last call is at 8:30pm. On a Friday night! During Fall Break! One of the only busy weeks during slow season! There really weren’t that many people waiting outside, maybe 2 more parties, which makes me believe she had been turning business away for awhile, considering the other competing restaurants(Shuckums and a few others) had massive amounts of people waiting at that time. I’ve worked in the restaurant business and realize people are short staffed, but I sure don’t understand turning away money. Every restaurant I’ve ever worked and gone to will continue to seat up until closing time.

One star review is just silly. We are short staffed like everyone. Due to this We close at 9pm. You were turned away because of a two hour wait time at 7p. Simple math. Sorry we couldn’t accommodate you that night . My suggestion would be to come for lunch At noon. Enjoy your day. Thanks mgmt

We loved it!!

We were staying within walking distance of Dustys, and visited there 3 or 4 times during the week we stayed in Panama City Beach. We went during Happy Hour, when the oysters were $10.99 dozen (raw). I'm an oyster-lover and really enjoyed these! Cold, salty and good! We also ate boneless wings that were good and a club sandwich. The club wasn't as good as we expected, but that one item wouldn't keep me from going back.

Great Experience

I had never ate oysters before and had no idea what to expect. We immediately got a seat at the shucking bar. The server made me feel comfortable and assisted me with the menu. He even wrote on the shell of the first oyster I ate and took our picture holding the shell. Great time, Great Experience, Great Food, and some of the best service we had while on vacation.

Old Beach Dive Oyster Bar

Being local I knew very popular and needed to arrive at PM for dinner, especially because we had a year old with us and he is not a high table compatible. We enjoyed the parmesan baked oysters, although too much parmesan cheese. The seafood platter was good, Crab claws small, but will give Dusty's a pass because market has been very high on crab this season. Will return off season and enjoy this local gem
