A steady favorite for great grilled fish. I must say it was the shortest wait ever for a table. Dinner was good, but our table was in the extremely bright sun. My seat was facing it, and even sunglasses were not enough to make it...comfortable. A weird thing....they must know. I'm not a sissy, but I mean blindingly bright. Don't sit at the window if you go early!More

We had heard a lot about Capt Anderson's and were anxious to go. It was a huge letdown. To begin with, the house salad consisted of a bowl of iceberg lettuce with two slices of Roma tomatoes. Period. I ordered crab cakes ($36). Could barely...tell there was crab in them. My friend tasted them also and said they were more like a little crab with Pepperidge Farm stuffing mix. I sent them back. To my server's credit she did allow me to reorder and only charged me for the replacement. My grilled shrimp were apparently overcooked because they were tough. The ambiance was delightful but not worth the food. Save your time and money and go to Triple J's instead. They never fail to please and their salads are awesome!More

We went here for our anniversary and were really looking for something great. We were less than impressed. Their food is overpriced for average food. The ahi tuna appetizer is good and worth the $16. The broiled stuffed flounder was boring with very little taste....The jumbo crab cakes were a total let down. For $36 you would expect jumbo but instead they were smaller than a slider and very overcooked. Definitely NOT the best as stated on their menu. The she crab soup was average but if you really want great she crab soup, go to Firefly. Capt Anderson's also charges 3.5% service fee for using a credit card.... in the day in age of credit cards. We did not indulge in dessert as I'm sure it wouldn't have been worth the effort. So for 4 glasses of wine, appetizer & 2 entrees plus tax & tip, I would have rather spent my $177 elsewhere.More

Our waitress Emilia was excellent and the food was good. My experience was soured by the charge of $30.00 for a Manhattan cocktail. My husband drinks Manhattans often when we dine out and we have NEVER been charged that much for a Manhattan. What further...added to our displeasure was the lack of concern from the manager. When we asked about the high price Emilia went to the manager but instead of the manager coming to our table she sent Emilia back to explain the price. We were not satisfied with the explanation so we asked to speak to the manager. She was unconcerned with our complaint and made no attempt to resolve the issue. The icing on the cake was when the manager, Alexa, walked away with a smirk n her face. That’s not the way to treat customers. I won’t go back.More

The atmosphere is delightful with a wide range of dining and boating memorabilia and photos of famous people who have dined there. This is a HUGE restaurant, capable is serving many diners quickly. As such, food quality may be impacted. The she-crab soup was perfectly...executed and delicious but our lobsters were seriously overcooked (so tough they were hard to cut even with a knife!) The view of the water and sunset adds to the experience.More

Always our fav. Delicious! I like the stuffed lobster. Husband gets pompano and the rest of the family get steaks. Can’t wait until they reopen in Spring.

Our group normally eats here at least twice a year and a smaller group of us eat here at least 4-6 times a year. Usually our larger group gets to use one of the separate rooms for our holiday parties. But this time they put...us in the main area even though the private rooms were empty. And our group was split up into multiple tables and were separated from each other. They even put other groups in between our tables which totally separated us. I don’t know about the other parts of our group, but our waitress spilled water on me twice, and then she wanted to argue about the dressing on my Greek salad. All in all it was a bad experience and we probably won’t be going back and I think our group will be considering other places for our holiday parties. The food was okay, not great. The service was so-so.More

We ordered the Parmesan baked oysters as an appetizer, and underwhelming was what we got. Beneath all of the cheese was an oyster about the same size as you would get from a can of smoked oysters. The calamari was quite tasty though. I had...the seafood platter with a cold water lobster tail. The deviled crab seemed to be devoid of crab. The shrimp were large and tasty. The texture of the lobster tail was like none other that I had experienced as it was possibly over cooked for that sweet taste that you expect was missing. Overall it was just OK for the price.More

Highly recommend the fried shrimp with a baked potato. The potato has a $3.00 up charge, but with mashed potatoes, broccoli or fries as the other options spend the $3.00 and be happy you did. As always the Greek salad is delicious. The shrimp were...extra large cooked to perfection. The grilled shrimp are very good as well. Be sure to take something home from the bakery in the gift shop. I think a whole key lime pie is the way to go. The ooie gooie is enough for two. We plan to go back soon. Enjoy.More

We visited this restaurant last year and had a poor/mediocre experience. This year was much better. The rolls, Greek salad and She Crab soup were excellent again. I had the Grouper Piccata and my wife had the Bay Scallops. The grouper was absolutely delicious. The...Bay Scallops we’re a huge portion and done just right. We will be returning.More

Arrived 10 minutes before opening and the line was already out of the door. We were seated immediately (table of 5) once the magic 4:30 opening hour occurred. Drink orders were taken and served with delicious crackled rolls. 3 out of 5 of us ordered...steak, iceberg wedge salads and baked potatoes. My husband ordered grilled grouper with crab meat, mashed potatoes and a regular side salad. I ordered the chicken Alfredo and the iceberg wedge salad. ALL of the entrees were delicious. Best we have had in Panama. Dessert was presented on a display platter so that you get a visual and what a display! We ordered the silk pie and the brownie cake with ice cream. Both were good but the brownie cake was the winner! Marcela E was our waitress and she was awesome. Top notch place to eat. We will be back Captain Anderson - you were awesome!More
