This might have been a hidden gem diner prior to Covid, but during our visit we felt very uncomfortable about the close proximity of the tables to one another. The chairs from the tables basically backed up to one another. The prices were cheap, but...the walls were covered with tasteless republican paraphernalia. We ended up taking our food to go because we couldn’t stand to the dining atmosphere.More

The first thing you notice is the smiles all around from the staff to customers. It's a throw back to the 70's style restaurants and I love it. And the food. Great food and wonderful prices. We visited Sat morning and were so impressed, we...went back Sun before we left. There are plenty of thing to read on the wall while you wait.More

Great food in an old building. I ate lunch here. Very busy. I had the 2 grilled pork chops with turnip greens, cucumber salad and corn bread. All of it was tasty and devoured.

So glad we found this little cafe. Small, with a unique interior that is not an issue when the food is this good. Prices are very reasonable, but be aware only cash or checks accepted here. Once we found this place we went back every...week during our PCB stay. If you love breakfast, this is your place. Also serves a lunch menu.More

Delicious food Looks are deceiving.. Looks like a hole in the wall.. Great portions, fast friendly service. Go early they get crowded quickly. You may end up sharing your table with others as well. Worth it though.

My husband and I decided to stop here after reading the reviews. The reviews were spot on. We shared the ham and potatoes hash with veggies and cheese and cinnamon raisin toast. It was very tasty and very reasonably priced. We didn't have coffee because...we had it at home before we left. It was packed probably because it was Saturday. We waited awhile for our server to take our order but she was extremely busy and apologetic. The food came quickly. It is a hole-in-the-wall and very small as one review put it but with good breakfast food and priced right. You are cramped in with others or you can call it cozy. Looked like it was mostly locals. If you are fussy about atmosphere and ambiance, this is not the place for you. We will return.More

While this spot doesn't try to be anything special, they serve a good breakfast at an affordable price. Servers are friendly and take your orders quickly. Place is great for families, friends, etc. They get your food to you quickly and the food is good.

I had eaten at Sunnyside Grill many years ago and remembered how good the grits had been. On this trip, I decided to go back and see if the food was as good as I remembered, and it was. Being the off-season, there was no...wait and the food arrived hot and ready to eat. Our server was very nice and friendly. The only criticism I would have was the amount of loud cursing. I am not a prude, but hearing the F word first thing in the morning, and MF this and that, put a damper on an otherwise pleasant meal.More
