After reading some reviews I was reluctant to try Hammerhead. I'm glad we went! My family and I arrived a little after 5 to try to beat the dinner crowd. We were immediately seated and promptly greeted by our server Nas. Nas was attentive, answered...our questions about the menu, and had great recommendations. Started out with the gumbo dip, it was delicious. For entrees we ordered the whales tail (pictured) it held up to its name. The fish was preferably cooked and sweet potato tots were so good. My picky daughter enjoyed the mahi tacos. The shrimp po boy and fried okra was more than enough for my teenage son, and shrimp and crawfish pasta(pictured) was delicious. Hammerhead Fred's is one of our new favorites in PCB! For four entrees, appetizer, and drinks the bill was a little over $70 not including tip.More

As far as food goes, nothing really spectacular here. I cannot speak for the oysters however. We ordered shrimp and fish - both of which were deep fried and less than exciting. Service was good. Expect to spend at least $20 and that's only if...you get a sandwich and a drink. Dinners with a drink will set you back at least $30. I was most disappointed to see the table clean up using the same rag for all the tables and not wiping down ketchup / salt & pepper shakers. I realize FL is now "open", but COVID is still running rampant and during spring break there are people from all over coming in. At the very least, they should be disinfecting every table after patrons and wiping down the containers. If you are looking for a place to hear music and hang out - there is a huge area in the back set up for bands and plenty of room for a dance floor. FL is not mandating masks for COVID at this time and the college kids are showing up in droves. Not us.More

Whole family ate here. They have 1/2 off happy hour. Prices were good, atmosphere great, service fast. I had po boy sandwich. Didn’t care for the bread and shrimp didn’t have much flavor. Rest of the family loved what they had. Pretty good place.

Second visit to Hammerheads. First visit was mediocre. Food not very good and it is a bit pricy for what you get. Our second visit wasn’t much better. Two draft domestics and a dozen raw oysters were $30 (pre-tip). Oysters were not so fresh (most...likely sit a bit at $20 per dozen). Could have asked the price in advance so my bad there. Dat Cajun is about a block away. Beers are half the cost and a dozen oysters are around $13. No more Hammers for us.More

We went here a couple times in the off season. The place is big and can accommodate large crowds. It has a fun beach restaurant atmosphere and decor. Most of the seating is outdoors. The food was good, especially the fish tacos. We liked both...the Wahoo Tacos and the Mahi Tacos. Good selection of beers and drinks. This is a great place to go hang out and enjoy some friends. Good place for a large group as well.More

Three couples went here for the Friday night all you can eat fish. None of the three women particularly like fish but ordered it anyway. We all agreed it is probably the best fish we’ve had in PCB thus far. The server was polite, prompt...and attentive to drink refills and bringing more fish. Highly recommend this 4:00 to 6:00 special. This price is great but the live music is a bit loud for conversationMore

The fish was white & flaky, lightly breaded which is exactly the way I like it. Refills were hot & came out in a timely manner! There was a live band there also! It was a Good Friday night!! Will definitely go here again.

We went there on a Friday night for their codfish all you can eat fish fry. As we entered the restaurant, the band was very loud and that kind of scared us off. But the hostess was very nice and told us she could seat...us outside where they had heater/warmers. After a short wait, we were seated in the outdoor dining area. We both ordered the AYCE fish fry. It was absolutely delicious. Small pieces of fish, but cooked perfectly, french fries were excellent, the coleslaw was perfect. We even had seconds on the fish. For $10.95 it was a very good bargain. We are anxious to try the Saturday night shrimp special.More

Food Sub-Par. We have been there twice and will not return. 2nd visit I had a burger. Worst I’ve had in PCB. Maybe a quarter pound patty at best and cold and like shoe leather. Small amount of cold fries.

We are locals and decided to give them a second chance. First time was iffy. Apps came out before the drinks. Chargrilled Oysters were decent but, over priced. Ordered the special sautéed shrimp to go. No lid on the shrimp. Butter goes everywhere. Get home...and this is worth $18.75? See picture below. Save your money and stay away from this place.More
