Found this restaurant while visiting Panama City for vacation with family. This restaurant was clean with a charming atmosphere. Prices were very reasonable and food was simply outstanding. I highly recommend this establishment and will certainly return on my next visit.
I have tried Mexican restaurant’s from California, Texas, Oklahoma, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, Wyoming and Nevada. Up until I ate here, I thought the best Mexican food was in Oklahoma. Jalisco’s is officially the best Mexican restaurant I have ever eaten. Definitely the best one...in the Panama City beach area. Worth the drive if you are in town. The salsa was flavorful, with a little spice. The queso was the white type. It was thick and tasty. I had the beef fajitas which were served with flank steak. It was served on a bed with mushrooms, onions, peppers, squash, and tomatoes. Very well seasoned and charred to perfection. I was even impressed with the beans and rice. Most Mexican restaurants have flavorless rice and the beans are average. Not at Jaliscos. They season the rice well and the retried beans were better than any refried beans I have ever tried. I was really impressed. Serving sizes were large and the price was not outrageous like most other restaurants in this area in August. Will definitely come back next time I am in the area.More
Great food and homemade salsa. Great chili relleno with chicken. A very large amount of chicken. Always good.
There was no wait and there were plenty of empty tables, yet the staff seemed rushed and overworked. Free chips and salsa before your meal -- I thought the salsa was pretty average and the chips were not as fresh-tasting as I would have liked....HOWEVER, the food was fabulous. We absolutely loved everything we ordered. And prices were reasonable at ten to fifteen per meal. The facility is very nice. Mexican theme. Quality furnishings and decorations.More
Nicely remodeled with good Mexican food. Good salsa with the right amount of cilantro. Poblano peppers good but if requested with cheese it is a strong Mexican cheese so chose carefully.
Loved everything. The service, food, and prices, all great. The decor was fun and vibrant. Loved my entire experience.
First time visiting this restaurant. Excellent food served piping hot - don't touch the plates, they are very hot. Fresh ingredients and attention to detail help makes their dishes very tasty. I had the Adobe Chicken, delicious recipe of chicken breast chucks mixed with mushrooms...and spinach in a spicy Chipotle cream sauce. My had the Pick Two: she picked chicken enchiladas and quesadillas. Generous portions of tasty chicken breast and cheese.served with frijoles and rice. My sister-in-law had a tasty dish called Mexican Chicken. This simply named receipt was served with fresh hot tortillas and rice. Oh, be careful when you order drinks as they are HUGE,, but very good. Service was excellent. The server waited patiently for my wife to make a decision on her order. Lots of delicious dishes to pick from. I was especially I pressed they gave us such a generous military discount. The manager, Esteban, made a point of thanking us for visiting. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We will return, soon.More
Great food, service, margaritas and prices. Strong flavored cheese in chilie relleno, so order meat or chicken if you are not a fan of strong cheese.
Wife and I ate lunch here. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We were very pleased.
My husband, daughter and I went here to eat and we loved it. The food was very good and the server was friendly and helpful, checking on us and refilling drinks. The Fruit flavored Margaritas were two for one,so I got a frozen watermelon flavored one and...my husband got the mango one. They were huge! I would definitely eat here again and would recommend it to anyone else. Also the restrooms were clean too.More
Even after hurricane Michael damage the original restaurant severely, The renovation to this establishment was very well done and the food is even better now. Super clean super great taste always down to the salso when you 1st arrive
Food was "okay", nothing special. Wife and I both had chicken chimichangas. The chimichangas themselves were a bit on the small side and did not have much chicken. The cheese sauce on top was not very much and surprisingly thin. When we requested additional salsa,...beyond what was provided with the complimentary chips, we were told there would be an additional charge for extra salsa. What? Never had that happen anywhere...ever!. Service was horrible. Given the few customers and abundance of wait staff, ignoring the one or two customers assigned to each waiter should not be too challenging. Drinks went unrefilled through most of the meal. By the time the waiter returned so my wife could get a clean fork, her food was cold. In short, disappointed, will not return, and recommend others to eat elsewhere.More
We ate lunch here and I had the chimichanga and it was great with a salad with guacamole and refried beans and the margaritas are great especially at 2 for 1 prices.
Tried one of the Thursday Lunch specials and 2 for 1 house margaritas. Food was good, service was fast, drink was reasonable. Not crowded. Back room for large parties. Worth checking out.
