We were visiting a local museum in Panama City and when we searched the GPS for a Mexican style restaurant, Maddie's La Casita showed that they were located easily within walking distance of the museum. We were pleasantly surprised on how quickly we were served...and the food was wonderful. The Chimichanga was served just with the right level of crispness and the ingredients were fresh and delicious. We hope to return to this restaurant again in the future.More

The taco was WET with some white cheese sauce they poured over it; all i wanted was a simple chicken taco, a side or guacamole, and an ORDER of salsa and chips. What I received was a soggy mess of what looked like a regurgitated...taco with runny cheese, COLD HARD chips, a tiny cup of guacamole, and and itty bitty TINY side of the FREE chips and salsa that usually comes with a meal...NOT the ORDER i asked for...and THEN they wanted to argue with me about what I ordered and about WHO took my order. NEVER AGAIN!!!!More

This was our first visit even though we live in PC. We were a little disappointed. First though, the food was very tasty and there were many items on the menu. The service was fast and friendly. However we found the menu prices a bit...on the high side and the portions were smaller than expected. We moved here from Texas two years ago and know what we have come to expect from a Mexican Cuisine eatery.More

We were anxious to eat here after reading all the wonderful reviews. We come to Panama City Beach every year and have yet to find a good Mexican restaurant. After tonight at Maddie’s, the search is still on. We wondered why the most recent review...was Nov of 2018. Maybe they have different people running the place but it was terrible! There was one other table of two in the place on a Saturday night. Once our server took our orders and delivered our food, we literally never saw her again. I had to go up to the register to ask for the bill. As for the food......myeh. Not one thing was outstanding. The guacamole was a runny puddle poured over a bed of shredded lettuce. Margarita was OK. Rice and chicken enchiladas were no better than Taco Bell. Carne Asada meat was rubberish. So, I don’t know what has happened in a year but this certainly didn’t live up to the reviews. Service was the worst we’ve probably ever seen.More

I've been coming to Maddie's for a few years and it's always great. I can't say what my favorites are because everything is fantastic. The staff are always warm and polite as well.

Maddie's is a small, family-run authentic Mexican restaurant. The best Mexican food in town and the folks are always friendly. When they reopened after Hurricane Michael, Maria was talking to and hugging everyone who came in (which was mostly local regulars at the time). I...eat there regularly!More

Maddie’s La Casita has received rave reviews for several years. However, they’ve recently expanded their service with an upstairs, expanded dining area and live music venue. Saturday evening we joined with several friends and enjoyed great food, served by owner Maria and a varied selection...of fun music by the talented Robert Nieto.More

Found this on TA and decided to give it a try. Salsa and cheese dip are delicious. I had #38 combo. All good and not greasy like most other Mexican restaurants. They also have hand dipped ice cream and other desserts.

We eat here weekly. It’s one of our favorite places to eat at in Panama City. The tamales are made fresh and are this best. Never had a bad meal there. Excellent food.
