First time there since Hurricane Michael. Very limited times open still. But the planes are all still on the ceiling and wall so Husband very happy as 2 of them were purchased by previous owners from him. Food was Excellent. Had the chicken and it...was better than it had ever been in the past, and that is saying something. The Brunswick stew was excellent, just the right hit of spicy. Hubby had the sliced beef plate and he says just as good as ever. Portions of everything were plentifulMore

Fantastic prices. Portions are plentiful. This was the best barbecue I have ever eaten. We tried the incredibly juicy pulled pork and the very flavorful sliced beef. The coleslaw and beans were dynamite!!!! The sweet sauce was off the charts! Highly recommend this restaurant.

Just what we needed before hitting the road. Pulled pork, green beans and cole slaw was all great. Cole slaw was extra good.

Ate lunch here ordered the salad bar with ribs. The salad bar was really good but the ribs were average at best. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If I go back I will definitely get the salad bar but I will try something...besides the ribs.More

It is wonderful to have this familiar place open again after Hurricane Michael closed it down. The food was just like Jack fixed it. Although the people are new they were just as friendly as Jack would have had them be. Try it again.

Went on Saturday 28 Sep. No more all you can eat option. $13.99 for 4 ribs - that's about what the all you can eat used to cost. And I didn't get 4 ribs - when I asked, I was told it's based on weight...(not mentioned on the menu), although they did bring me a 4th rib anyways. Coleslaw was ground into mush. Having not been in awhile, had to to ask what the diff. BBQ sauces were. Waiter was okay. Limited desert items on the salad bar - no cantaloupe, watermelon, etc., no choc. pudding. Pretty disappointed.More

This place has got to be the most sorry excuse for BBQ in the entire south. Not only is the food lacking but the hospitality and service is absolutely deplorable. I called in my To-go order at 8:03pm and was told it would be about...15 minuets until it's ready. I live in Lynn Haven so I'm about 15 minuets away as is, I left right after I placed the order and was prepared to wait if I showed up a little early. I was waiting behind two other people and finally got my food and walked out by 8:30 (give or take a few minutes.) I didn't check my food and just drove straight home. I guess it's my fault for assuming they would be competent enough to read a simple order and then recreate it on my plate. I got home and both the sandwiches were incorrect, my wife's sides were wrong, the ranch dressing they gave us had obviously been left out all day and smelled like feta cheese. My wife called back up there to tell them our food was incorrect and we needed it fixed. They asked us if we wanted to come back so they could fix it. So we drove all the way back, with the wrong food(it's now 8:50.) The man at the window just handed me the food didn't offer any kind of apology and sarcastically said "you wanna check it." There was no manager around and the staff was obviously too busy cleaning and shutting down the restaurant (before closing) to practice any kind of customer service. Then the ever so ambitious "full time employee" of Smitty’s BBQ, Caitlin, starts YELLING at me from back in the kitchen and THEN a manager shows up. At this point I'm starving, I ordered my food an hour ago, I've been back up to this place twice now and I've been harassed by this Caitlin woman. I grab my food, toss the wrong food in the trash and then check my food in the car. While everything was correct, everything looked like it had been assembled by a blind monkey with no hands. The buns weren't even buns anymore they had just been absorbed by the greasy, sloppy meat. After they way I was treated I wouldn't be surprised if they spat in our food before giving it back. After spending $25 on this food and probably $10 in gas, I gave up. I tossed the food in the trash and went to McDonalds. It's obvious that the employees do not care about the customers so I can only assume the management doesn't care either. This place has been here since the 1980s, been through 3 different owners, and still hasn't figured out how to do business. Maybe it's time to close the doors and stop disgracing the good name of souther cuisine and hospitality.More

We like a diverse salad bar and BBQ too. This is a great place for both! Excellent service and delicious food. The salad bar was well stocked with salad choices and specialty salads (cottage cheese, slaw, chicken salad, etc) and a daily soup. A little...smoky upon arrival but not bad and quickly get used to it. Cute aeronautical decor. Don’t miss this local gem!More
