Restaurant was nice, we had a group of 13 ,given 1 server, she worked very hard but I feel she was flustered. Ordered the clam chowder and it was very good, lots of clams and very tasty. Went specifically for the whole belly clams, many...of us ordered these which I think may have overwhelmed the kitchen, as they were overdone to the point of not being very appetizing. Will I try these again, maybe ,just to see if they come out properly cooked and if dining with just my wife. The restaurant and chowder are the only reason for 3 stars, otherwise it would be 1 star for the clams.More

We have been going here for Crab Legs or a couple of years and they have always been good. One of the few places you can get Lake Perch and it is excellent. During quarantine we got the perch to cook at home and the...person I spoke with was very accommodating and helpful. Our drinks have always been good and beer has always been cold. We enjoy our visits to this restaurant.More

I've driven past this place for years and never stopped because I know it's a little pricey and generally had several family members, kids, etc at the same time and wasn't sure it was worth it without trying it first. My wife and I happen...to be out yesterday and stopped as soon as we saw it. The BEST clam chowder I've ever had. this is ironic as I work in dc and have spent a lot of time in maryland and new england states and eaten great clam chowder, but this in Palmetto FL wins HANDS DOWN. But it isn't just that, all of the items served are above average right from the start. The shrimp are the largest shrimp I've ever had without ordering colossal specifically. The scallops were the largest deep see scallops I've ever seen and cooked perfectly. With the seafood platter I chose shrimp, scallops and haddock - large size and my wife and I sharing it didn't finish it with the clam chowder. The sweet tea is also excellent. Everything made from scratch and service was excellent as well. I strongly recommend to any and all.More

At a very strange moment in time when a virus stops the World, we decided to take a day trip to St. Petersburg south, to Palmetto. Enjoying the few things open, we looked for a restaurant on our return to Punta Gorda. A few steps...from the river is the Sea Hut. Stepping in, questioning whether it's allowed, the hostess gave us a paper menu to choose from. A short wait till our orders were ready and packed with the needed utensils, etc. We had to take it elsewhere so we headed for the seawall. I fully enjoyed the Lump Crab Meat atop a salad. A wondrous bite of something that I enjoyed from my past. Someday I hope to return to savor the restaurant experience in full. Very, very good food!More

When I got my American Express bill I saw that the restaurant had changed my tip by adding 25 cents to it. That made it 18% even though we were a party of four. I would not visit any restaurant that adds an unauthorized charge....If you go and charge your meal, be sure to heck your credit card statement.More

Had to wait for hostess and then waited over 10 minutes before we had to ask for our server. Neither were overly friendly. They were out of several drinks and food items. Atmosphere was dark and rather dingy. Food was so so. We will not...be going back.More

Stopped here because the parking lot was packed. Great choice. There was a 20 minute wait to be seated but outside seating was available right now. We sat outside and were thrilled that we did. The deck was out over a mangrove channel. White heron,...anhinga, white ibis and brown pelicans joined us for lunch. My fried oysters were plump and tasty, not overcooked. My wife loved her coconut shrimp. As the waitress cleared, she threw the shrimp tails into the water. She said that there was a snook that hung out there and liked the seafood scraps. Sure enough we looked down and there was a two foot snook next to the deck. I don't know what it is like inside the restaurant, but on the deck, we had good food, great service, and a fantastic naturalistic floor show. If we are in the area again this will be a must stop.More

Made a reservation, had to wait another 25 minutes. Server told another 15 minutes before coming to our table. Food was good.
